Other reviews surprise me because I think the brunch is so reasonable. The food was really good, plentiful options and well prepared. They had something for every taste. They had a full seafood section, and carving stations– two of my favorites. I would have liked more potato options as the potatoes they offered had a strange texture. This is one of the best values on Maui for locals and visitors alike. We enjoyed the music and the scene. Great place to bring the family.

So we had Sunday Brunch at the Tiki Terrace Restaurant in the Kaanapali Beach Hotel an dit was awesome! Our group was large and we had children. We requested patio seating which was great coz the kids could run around, the adults can enjoy the warm balmy weather, and we can fully enjoy the Live Music at the outdoor stage. If you’re inside, you can still enjoy the live music as it is being broadcast live in TVs. The food is soooooooooooo good. There was a LARGE selection of different types of food. I personally was able to try the following: Roast Beef — carved on demand. So juicy and tender. Poke — different kinds. Very good. Sushi — different kinds too. Very good also. Waffle — can’t go wrong with the waffle. Especially since they have different toppings. Especially especially(that’s not a typo) since they make it when you ask for it. Omelette Bar — made to order. Can’t go wrong. I mean, YOU’RE the one deciding what does in it. Lunch Stuff — like poi, different types of Chinese Food, some Japanese food as well, different kinds of noodle(sautéed, soup, etc.) Dessert — smörgåsbord! Salad — the selection and the taste are also very good. Workers were very patient which must have been hard because our group was so large. they also gave us just the right amount of attention. AND they didn’t rush us out.

Yes, this is a 3 star restaurant, nothing special, average food and service, we had the Sunday Brunch, some of it was very good and some not that great, this combination makes it a 3 star average place, it was a little pricey @ $ 50 a person but I will chalk that up to being in Maui where every thing is pricey, but for the same money you can get a nice dinner at a 4 – 4 ½ star restaurant where everything is cooked fresh to Oder, but if you want a buffet type of dinner they do have a very large selection of meats, seafood, salads, deserts, there are people making omelette, cutting prime rib and Ham. All and all the food is good and catering to the older crowd, if you are a foodie this most likely would not be «your cup of tea» as they say. We Tried it because it is in the hotel we were staying at, that is also sub par.

worst hamburguers, don’t even try them, and super expensive also. Since we are staying here we decide to give it a try, so much regret. I giving it a star because I can’t give it a lower score.

This was the third time we’ve included the Sunday brunch at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel on a visit to Maui. It really hasn’t changed much over the last four or five years unless you enjoy drinking a lot of mediocre quality champagne. Hawaii laws now limit the free champagne to two glasses per customer but we don’t drink more than one or two glasses so it didn’t effect us. But I thought I’d mention it. The food includes the usual omelet stand, waffles, fresh fruit and breakfast items but the highlight for me is the local and Asian influenced entrees. The service was excellent and the live entertainment very local and enjoyable. A little pricey at $ 40/person but all in all a pleasant Sunday morning/early afternoon.

The breakfast buffet has a wide selection and is included in your stay. However, the dinner is not worth the cost. The food was not fresh and was extremely overpriced. All the food had a certain«fishy» taste regardless of what we ordered. I would not return.

We had dinner here on our stay, and it was an average meal. My husband had the beef tenderloin which he said was good, but not for the price. And I had the monchong fish, which was good but felt it was a little over powered by the lemon sauce. That being said, the server was pleasant, and the free entertainment made for a nice atmosphere. Also, we shared the brownie with the macadamia ice cream with bananas, which was very good. Would definitely have the dessert again.

My first time here. The price range is a bit high for the food. You’re better off doing the breakfast buffet because ala carte is just as much. Moreover, for these prices you’d think at least the food would be better. Guess if you’re starved you’ll eat anything.

My wife and I decided to try the dinner here since hotel guests get a 20% discount. The restaurant is interesting in that it has no walls, but only a big tent drapery covering the whole place with a wide opening looking out to the stage playing live music and hula dances. I guess in Maui you don’t really need any walls just so that you can let the natural warmth and tiki torch light fill up the restaurant. I ordered the Kalbi beef with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The beef was marinated well with a nice grill flavor and the portion size was big with 3 big slices of beef. I was so full by the end of the meal that I was struggling to finish my last bites. The only thing I wished they would’ve added was some gravy on the mashed potatoes. It was a little dry with out it and a bit bland if I didn’t add any extra salt and pepper. It is a bit pricey here especially if you don’t have a discount and can range from $ 15 to $ 35 an entrée. There menu also has specials of the day which had a few meat dishes and some seafood items. Service here was slow when we first got seated and we didn’t get any water or bread for 10 minutes. After that though we had our order taken and our meal came out not too long after with better service. I enjoyed the setting here as it was relaxing with the partial tent like structure and the classy feel with table clothes and dinnerware, but especially with the live entertainment which made the evening feel as though you really are in Hawaii.

Skip the whaler’s village restaurants and walk 5 minutes farther to this has the kitschy Hawaii style from the fifties, when you imagine the old pan am planes landing in the water. The service was great. Charlie was pretty awesome and fed our kids for free. Eat the fish catch of the day. You’re in Maui: why would you eat anything else? Live music and hula dancing: the band was awesome, we yelled out play freebird… and they did! And then they blended it into Jack Johnson. They looked and sounded like they were having a great time. I would go back again… easily.

The food is very good for a restaurant at a resort. It’s just waaaay to pricey. I got a simple Cesar salad and paid $ 13 for this very very mediocre salad. Breakfast is good. Overall not bad for a last minute meal when staying at the restaurant.

Amazing fish dishes! Service a bit above average. The menu is somewhat limited, but very reasonably priced. Specials, especially seafood, vary with the season. The nightly live entertainment was excellent as well, and adds a lot to your vacation experience! Even if you’re staying elsewhere, you should try this restaurant when in Ka’anapali!

The free live hula show and entertainment initially drew us to this restaurant; however, I think some of the reviews are misleading. We were really disappointed in this place. Pros: Kids eat free here. We only have one child, but it appears that you get one free kids meal with each adult entrée so that is a huge perk for families with multiple children. The live music was ok.(We were there when it was requests only — so no Hawaiian music was played and no hula dancing, so that was a little disappointing) Cons: The place looks like it is in need of a major renovation. The carpet was half ripped up, concrete exposed, and everything appeared very out dated. My husband compared it to something right out of a «Brady Bunch Special.» We didn’t think the food was good at all. While it is not as expensive as some restaurants on the island, we didn’t think it was worth the price either considering the food was not that great. The fact that we were one of three tables dining there might have been a warning sign though. Also, we thought that it was odd that you have separate bills for food and for drinks. We paid the dinner bill, but then it took an additional 20 minutes to pay the drink bill. I would skip this place and go somewhere with better food.

I dined at Tiki Terrace for their Sunday Champagne Brunch and have to admit, it was probably the worst thing I spent my money on during my trip to Maui. Although they offer Kama’aina rates, the brunch is still overpriced at almost $ 40 per person for Kama’aina. Besides the brunch, they had a regular breakfast buffet which was a much smaller spread than brunch. Tiki Terrace has both indoor and outdoor seating. The breakfast buffet is located outdoors and the brunch buffet is indoors. When we were seated inside, I was kind of taken aback at the large dining area. The buffet is situated in their showroom where the magic show is held. There are many tables with the buffet tables bordering the dining area in a circle. They had a huge selection of food but unfortunately the food was just mediocre. They had a bunch of warm entrées like fish, chicken and local favorites like lau lau and fried noodles. I was most excited about the seafood area of the buffet because I love crab legs but the seafood area was another flop. They served the smallest crab legs I’ve ever seen and didn’t have butter to dip the crab legs in. Womp, womp. Another patron and I were afraid to try the mussels because their colors varied. Some of the mussels were brown, others were orange and a few were gray. Very questionable! I looked forward to the dessert in hopes that the buffet would somehow redeem itself but didn’t find any surprises there. They had a lot of different cake and dried out bread pudding. The safest thing for dessert was the fresh fruit and chocolate fountain. Good news is the customer service was great; the servers were really friendly and attentive. The ambiance of the restaurant was awesome because they had live Hawaiian music and the entertainers even came around to the tables to serenade visitors. Although we were seated indoors, we had a pretty decent view of the pool. So although I wasted about $ 80 on a mediocre meal, I received great customer service at a beautiful Hawaiian hotel. Silver linings!

Not bad food. Was staying at this hotel and got 20% off. Had prime rib and it was tasty. They have a free show every night at 6 pm to 9.

Disappointing for dinner. We’ve always liked this place and usually go here on our first night in Maui twice a year since it’s right next door to our condo. Last night the service was very slow(except for our bar waitress who was friendly and efficient), our waiter had an attitude, and the food was mediocre at best. The menu changed and prices increased from our last time here in Sept. and what was once my favorite Mai Tai didn’t taste as good either. They do have nice free entertainment, which was cancelled last nite because of the weather. A good place for a drink and a free hula show, but I’d eat elsewhere.

The friendliest wait staff on the planet. Amazing breakfast buffet, at 20 dollars, seems like a bargain on this high rent side of Kaanapali. Great local flavor: island fish, beef stew, portuguese sausage and miso soup, next to fluffy pancakes, eggs, pastries and fruit. Great way to clear the cobwebs. Dinner is even better, featuring first rate island fish, scallops and steaks.

Tiki Terrace is near our Kaanapali home. For years we would bring friends visiting us to Tiki Terrace for a special Sunday brunch. Had reservations for March 2, 2014. Arrived to find a sign by the entrance that stated that as of Feb 23, brunch now included just 1 glass of champagne«due to changes in Hawaii liqueur laws». Did they lower the $ 40 price of brunch to compensate? No. Did they offer additional glasses for $ 1 or $ 2 each? No, $ 5 each. So a brunch that had already increased to $ 40 over recent years is now $ 50 with just a total of 3 small glasses of champagne over what is usually a 1.5 to 2 hour brunch. There is still a charge for parking, even with parking validated, just a lower price. We decided not to stay and went to Betty’s for a nice breakfast at about $ 13 and champagne for $ 2/glass at brunch.

This is about a 3 ½ but the bottomless champagne made buzzed packing afterwards much easier and less depressing about having to leave Maui the next day, therefore bumping it to a 4 star. After hearing so much about the KBH Sunday Brunch, I was trying to come here during the weekend that KPOA would be there. Unfortunately due to the fair, they were here the weekend before vs. the usual last Sunday of the month. For $ 36.95 per person, they had about 3 walls of food selections to choose from. The first had made to order omelets, waffles, carving station of ham, lamb, beef, seafood like ahi poke, shrimp cocktail, CA rolls, the back wall had mini lau laus, chicken, salmon, pasta, etc. and the third side had desserts, chocolate fountain, fruits, salads including pohole fern and poi. Outside they had a section for breakfast items. It was definitely a nice selection and the bottomless champagne(or mimosas if you add orange juice) was great that I wish my stomach was bigger. Despite eating from 9:30−11AM, we still weren’t hungry at 5.
