Went for breakfast this morning and boy was that a mistake. They had a sign advertising a new turkey sausage with egg sandwich on an English muffin which sounded good. Unfortunately it was literally a jimmy dean microwaveable breakfast sandwich with the price raised about 600%. I know for a fact that it was jimmy dean because unfortunately I eat them at home quite a bit. If you like paying a lot for microwaveable meals then this is a great option.

Did this place recently change ownership? It has been a night and day difference from our last trip 6 months ago. We visit Maui(Kapalua) twice a year for two weeks each visit. My daily routine is to drive over to The Coffee Store each day to get my coffee fix… which is usually an ice blended something or other. Today is day thirteen of our two week stay and I’ve just returned from walking out of the store after waiting an unreasonable amount of time without being acknowledged along with a few other people patiently waiting. Really — all it takes is an «Aloha — I’ll be with you shortly» While the quality of the drinks has gone south since our last visit — now so has their customer service. It seems that each visit this trip has had some issue… yesterday was three staff members behind the counter but only one actually serving customers. The other two were making busy work with their backs to the counter. One preparing coffee into filters and stacking them for the next day maybe and the other preparing stock to go on a shelf. Hello… we are standing here in line waiting to give you our money! I know this is Hawaii and laid back and all… but seriously? The one person actually helping customers took her time to deal with each person at the cash and then prepare their drinks. The other two were totally oblivious and the one working never bothered to ask for help? Finally after getting my order… no thank you, no you’re welcome… nothing. Today — the single staff member was more busy chatting up someone at the front of the line rather than work at getting the line cleared up. Standing there like an idiot until I thought to heck with this — I’ll go elsewhere, which I did and after considering the poor service an sad attitude over the past couple weeks — I’m done. There are other placed that are happy to take my $ 12.00 each day with a smile and good service. So back to my original question… Did this place change ownership? Or are they just having a really really bad month? That is the question for the next customer cause I won’t be back. And based on the recent quality of their product — won’t be missed.

Ordered a latte… took one sip and tossed it in the trash outside the door… tasted like watered down, really watered down hot felt dark, not cosy, and a bit dirty. Staff was friendly, but kind of cramped inside… to bad… just moved a block away, and I purchased a machine to make my own. Would have loved a close, walkable coffee shop… there is a small shop just off front street in Lahaina that is great, and she bakes her own pastries… never looked at the name, but it’s always busy with locals, and awesome coffees.

If you’re coming here, make sure you’re coming for brunch. The espresso is subpar, and the coffee isn’t great, but the options for brunch are pretty good. Great bagels and lovely service. The store is a little cramped but there’s some outside seating that’s nice in the morning.

A small but bright little place in a shopping strip. They had some nice looking muffins but I did not avail myself to any. My latte was served very nicely with good crema and some latte art. The temperature was good and the taste was pretty good with only a very slight bitterness. If you are in the area it is a good option for the espresso nerd.

very average coffeee. would not go back. Like Starbucks if you like that. Based on the number of SB restaurants, a lot of people do. IMO these beans were over-roasted, and had no body, just a urnt flovour.

I accidentally ordered egg sandwich not realizing it comes w meat(vegetarian) and they were so super quick and nice about replacing it w a vegetarian option. I love places like this that actually care about customers. I felt so super special and the crossiant w tomatoes n cucumbers was super fresh and yummy! Thank u again! I will definitely visit again as I am staying only a few minutes away.

Breakfast here was amazing. After playing a few rounds of disc golf at the local park. The ham and cheese croissant hit the spot. Being that we are from Texas(everything is bigger in Texas) not so, this sandwich was huge and very satisfying! The price was reasonable too.

This was our go-to breakfast restaurant and coffee shop during our stay in Napili. They had a wide variety of drinks and coffee. The food was fresh and flavorful. They accepted credit cards and do orders to-go. Service was fast and friendly.

Hands down, worst cappuccino ever. That’s saying a lot too! I’ve had my share of dogs. A double shot of espresso, not even a good double pull either, with essentially Cool Whip scooped on top ISNOT A CAPPUCCINO. Look it up. If this is what islanders think is good than its a good argument to move back to the mainland. Besides that it has a nice local atmosphere. But I came for a cappuccino…

I was excited to try some fresh Maui coffee, I have once again learned I just don’t like coffee I tried to drink it like the locals. The scone was amazing though. My husband says the coffee is delicious. Here is my problem… While sitting there drinking my coffee and enjoying my scone, a patron walked right into the shop with a dog. I have a serious issue with any establishment that serves food and beverages allowing non service dogs inside. We got up and left.

Had the pleasure of coming here several times during the week, when I was recently n Maui. I sampled several drinks(mocha, cappuccino, blended mocha and smoothies). They all tasted very good. However, the blended iced mocha is fabulous. The barista’s were very friendly and the pineapple mac nut upside-down cake is delicious. I know where I’ll be getting my coffee fix when I return to Maui.

Yummy coffe– especially the first soy latte I got. The next day it was ok. Barristas are friendly, but may make espresso drinks for regular patrons first, even if they ordered after, which is a little offensive for those waiting.

Love this coffee joint on Maui — this is my go to shop when I’m on the island. The coffee is always fresh and extremely hot, every time. They always have a great variety of coffee flavors to choose from. The specialty drinks are also a favorite among my family and friends. This place has a relaxing and artsy vibe inside, real island style. The employees are always friendly and the baked goods you can never go wrong with! You can’t go wrong!

Being more of specialty coffee lover I have grown used to disappointment when it comes to coffee on Maui. Surely there is good coffee grown on Maui(and the other islands) but in general it is roasted as to kill any distinguishing flavors. The coffee store does however carry some lighter roasts that has actually kept some of the flavors in it. I tried their light roast which was a mix of Maui grown coffee and Guatemalan. It was a nice brew that had some of the nice flavors I am looking for in coffee. The selection of beans for sale was also fairly impressive and teas were also good. Nice smoothies as well and the place has free wifi. Laid back atmosphere and feels more like a place for locals than for tourists. Service was very friendly and quick so gotta like the place. It is also just a few minutes walk from where we are staying so will pop in again.
