Hangloose Hammocks Hawaii

Andy is extremely helpful and knowledgable about all the hammocks they have. Can’t wait for jack to see his!!!

Plain an simple, if you want the best hammock you can find available, stick with Hangloose Hammocks Hawaii. First, I found the shop through word of mouth and I’ve never been to the shop, but have owned several other hammocks and did my research before making the purchase… I cant tell you the difference. The quality of the products is far superior than any similarly priced product out there (ENO hammocks for example don’t compare, the quality of the parachute silk appears immensely better, they triple stitch at Hangloose as opposed a single stitch with ENO, and the product is made fair trade with care, not generically from China).
Customer service is also fantastic with Hangloose Hammocks. I had a minor flaw with my hammock and the good people at Hangloose Hammocks immediately sent me out a replacement.
All in all, for the quality of the product as well as the quality people apparently running the place, I won’t go anywhere else for a quality hammock.

Check this place out. If nothing more than to talk with the owners. Super friendly, knowledgeable about all the good places to go in Maui — and they love camping and the outdoors! I also highly recommend their hammocks, we bought two and so far the only regret I have is that we didn’t buy them sooner to enjoy on all the beaches we visited. Looking forward to testing these puppies out while hiking, but they were a blast and a comfort at the beach.

We were in Maui last week and spent time talking with Andy. Great guy, very helpful and all around happy guy — not pushy! We purchased a combo of the chair hammock and parachute/​bag hammock. Our college aged son couldn’t wait to head back home back to Chicago to demonstrate the easy rope system here at home and then planned to take it on a road trip to Texas before finding some trees on campus in the fall.
Unfortunately, somewhere between the airport agriculture check and arrival at O’hare, the parachute hammock walked away. :(
Just spoke with the owner and his wife who offered to send us a new hammock (including the ropes and free shipping) at a discounted price (cause they want happy hammock customers) and he even apologized for a one day shipping delay because there is a tropical storm bearing down on them tonight…
When is the last time you had that type of customer service?
Needless to say we are happy to share how happy we are with Hangloose Hammocks and grateful we wandered in on our way home from the movies.

Awesome chairs but… they forgot to include the ropes?

Cute little store. I saw this place last year when we ate at Cool Cats, but they were closed so I missed my chance of buying a hammock. Anyhow, this year I told my husband I have to to Hangloose Hammocks to get a hammock and that’s exactly what we did.

While enjoying burgers at Cool Cat Café in Lahaina, we noticed the Hangloose Hammocks Hawaii store just across the way. We wandered over afterwards, and really enjoyed meeting the couple that runs the place — very personable and helpful. We tried the hammocks in their store and they’re all great! The ones that most impressed us were the hammocks in a bag — we could stuff them into our carry-​on luggage with no problem. But they’ll also ship them (I think it’s no shipping charge!) They’re made out of 100% breathable parachute silk and you can stuff them easily into the bag that’s attached to the hammock. They come with two strong cords to attach them. We went back to snow in Seattle, so it’ll be a while before we can use them but they’re easily portable — so who knows where we’ll take them.
We also got a hat for me and a purse — they had a nice assortment along with some jewelry too. When you’re in Lahaina, it’s a fun place to check out! Or if you’re looking for some cool hammocks, check out their website and why not order from Maui :)
