Five Guys Burgers and Fries

I forgot to say no onions, so when i went to ask the kids in the back, looked at us kinda laughing saying «they’re already on there» and looked at us like we were stupid. The burgers weren’t wrapped all the way. Needless to say they should fire the smartass teenagers working there :)

Not a lot of choices for a vegetarian (seriously…what’s wrong with getting a veggie burger on the menu peeps?), but the kids love their cheeseburgers so…
I will say their fries aren’t bad and I have always had good service.

Honestly the burger tastes probably like a 3 star burger its not terrible but it is not great. It tastes similar to a cheap fast food burger. Ive had better burgers at carls jr. for less money. The service here is slow. It seems like the only way this place stays in business is by putting quotes of reviews from other five guys all over their wall to make you think you are eating something special. Way overpriced. I don’t think they ever clean their tables and I’m not a neat person at all but it was a little annoying that the tables were covered with some sticky substance. Soda maybe? It’s one of those places where you can throw your peanuts on the ground. I don’t mind this but some people might so just letting you know.

The milkshakes are oddly liquidy. They should definitely be MUCH thicker.

Absolutely terrible. Tasteless fries and they actually forgot to put meat on my hamburger! I went back and they asked if anything was wrong with my food. Yeah! There’s no meat! I tried the other location on Alicia and it was terrible as well.

The combination of all the copies of articles praising them on the walls and the incredibly pricy menu, you kind of get worked up to believe you’ll have some sort of supernatural culinary experience. It’s a great burger, really, but all the hype only leaves you kind of disappointed that to just spent ten bucks on a burger and fries.

The cheeseburger (double patty, double cheese) is great! One of my favorite non-​gourmet burgers I’ve had. I order it «all the way» with no ketchup or mustard and its perfect IMO.
I’ve done other 5 Guys location reviews so check those out but this one, this time, 8÷13÷2015, they let me down on cleanliness. We walked in at about 2pm and the place and the workers were not busy. There were only 2 customers including us in there. But there was not a single table to be found that was bussed. Ashamed to let poorly trained unmanaged kids ruin my typically high scoring reviews. So «Guys» … all 5 if necessary. Get it together!

Went here for dinner– have heard good things about five guys. First of all it was dirty inside. Spilled ketchup on the ground and tables that were dirty. Burger was gross. Grilled mushrooms tasted like cold ones from a can and it was just not a good burger at all. So dissapointing and it gave me tummy issues. Regret eating here.

I ordered a BACON cheeseburger with all the fixings, MINUS the grilled mushrooms. I then told the young lady, NO mushrooms.
When I got home and started to devour my burger, it was a joke. It had a think layer of Mushrooms on it, one and a half slices of the thinest, most flavorless bacon I’ve had. It was pathetic. There was about a 2″ X 2″ wilted piece of lettuce, the only good thing on it were the tomato slices and only 2 Dill Pickle chips on the Burger, all for around $ 9 bucks. The grease had soaked thru the wrapper and the bag by the time I got home. I ended up throwing it away, I wouldn’t even give it to my dog, I’m never going back.

Granted, I am not a burger and fries kind of guy and most definitely not a fast food consumer but I will try to rate this place fairly by comparing it to it’s competitors.
The atmosphere is probably the least appealing part.
The staff used to be awful. I think the place might be under new management because now everyone is super friendly and accommodating.
As for the food. If you want thin fries with your burger, you will be disappointed. While their French fries may be hand cut and fresh, I would still rather eat the fake one’s soaked in silicone filled oil from ‘you know where’. I don’t like their huge fries here but that is obviously subjective and not a reason to take off a star.
The burgers may not contain fillers but that’s really not enough to win me over. What about all natural (or god forbid organic) beef? As if the market wasn’t already saturated with fatty cheap beef burger joints, this place comes along and tries the same thing yet again. It is better than the other fast food burger places but that stuff shouldn’t even qualify as food.
The buns are your bagged supermarket off-​the-​shelf variety. Nothing special. Ingredients like tomatoes and lettuce seem freshly cut but aren’t going to miraculously make the burger meat taste much better.
The meat is the most important part and while offering Kobe beef or salmon burgers would clearly be a bit over the top and perhaps not make for a profitable business model, all natural beef would be more than possible seeing as though Chipotle right next door managed to accomplish it. We are in southern California after all where there are enough people who would eat organic fast food burgers, so why doesn’t someone explore such an option.

Where is the zero?
When female customers walk in, the manager encourages the male employees to openly review if they want to «F» the girl in line. They use the f word towards any woman, teen or girl in the line. Degrading place to walk into. No one should ever allow their daughter to enter the doors of Five Guys in Laguna Niguel. They treat employees like slave labor.
Minimum wage pay, schedule changes daily, and shift changes last minute. Constant turn over in employees.
Management and ownership doesn’t care about people.
The kitchen is not clean. They use harsh chemicals on the grill where the meat is placed (meat with TSP yum) Please do not patronize this chain. A Skinny paddy, browned lettuce and peanut shells on the floor does not make a dining experience. If Unilocal allowed video I would share.
More expensive than In and Out who pay their employees fairly and use fresh ingredients.

Great burgers and fries! The staff was really nice, burgers were yum and the location is clean and spacious. If you are nearby looking for a good burger i’d check it out!

Never had it before. Slow as hell, over rated. And over priced. 5 bucks for a single patty burger, no fries or drink. Left hungry. Burger did taste good tho

Best cheeseburger in town. Although, I’m trying to convert into a Vegan slowly. It makes it so hard with this very good burger.

In general I’m a big fan of Five Guys but this is my local Five Guys so I’ll review it. Lots of burgers to chose from in SoCal. Five Guys falls into top 3 for me. Good atmosphere, quality is high, and the fries are awesome.

I love five guys burger and fries. This location prepare the food excellently. I ordered a mini bacon cheese burger, mini fries and soda. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. fries were tender, not burned and soft in the middle. I will return again

Five Guys are 10x better than Fat Burger or In & Out.
And the peanuts are free.
Great homemade fries that explode in your mouth.
Burgers that drip with flavor
And they bend over back wards to see that you are taken care of.
Manners run abundant with the staff!
And the manager sat with us and listened to our comments about the joint.

Ok. It’s 3 stars,… I know it’s kinda mean,… But read the whole review.
These guys make great burgers. Not Aaaaamazeballz burgers but great burgers. They make some of the best fries around (get the seasoned fries)
The burgers are a great value and HUGE. I can’t handle the regular sized burger so I get the smaller bacon cheese burger. «All the way». I share a small fries.
I get the peanut shells all over the floor,. It’s there deal. But,… The tables are ALWAYS all dirty even when it’s partially empty.
I wish they served beer.
They are leaps and bounds better than In and Out burgers (what happened to them?)
So,… When you order your burger,… Unless u are a huge eater,… Get the smaller burger — like bacon? Get the bacon cheese burger. Get a small (seasoned) fries.
Ooh,… I have noticed that the soda flavors are off. Maybe I’m picky,.but they seem kinda weak sometimes.
