Anita Street is about a quarter of a mile down PCH from Broadway. Beach Access is 50 concrete steps with one very long step that someone was sitting on as a bench. I don’t remember if there’s a lifeguard tower. If you park in someone’s driveway or you don’t keep the meter fed you will get a ticket from the efficient parking enforcement. Once you pass Thalia St., stay in the right-hand lane and be ready to turn onto Anita.
Put any belongings way up high on the shore because the beach is very narrow. The surf covers the entire beach so your stuff might not be there if the tide rises. The landscaping is nice. There are no bathrooms, just a trash can. This is a popular surf area despite the exposed rocks. The flat rocks here are more walkable than at Thalia Beach because they are larger. The observation deck had a couple of people sleeping on the benches so I sat there quietly facing someone’s balcony. There is a two hour maximum before you are supposed to move your car out of the meter. This beach is surrounded by million dollar bungalows. Try parking at the alley on Anita.
