Agate Street Beach

I love this place. The water is a crystal clear blue and the sand is free of any trash. Probably one of my favorite places in the OC.

Agate Street Beach is located in the middle of Laguna Beach. Close to the action on PCH, yet worlds apart in many ways. As you reach the stairs that go down to the beach you’ll see some gorgeous houses with privileged ocean views. There is also a small little bench you can sit at & enjoy the scene. Rarely ever is Agate really all that crowded. Although, it does get a lot more people than usual in the Summer months.
The advantage to Agate Street Beach in comparison to Pearl Street is surfing is allowed at the reef here. Black balled ((***the yellow flags with a black dot in the middle posted on lifeguard towers along Orange County beaches***)) is between 12 PM & 5 PM each day & through the summer months June 15^th-​September 15^th, there are other spots along the Laguna Coast to surf. But for those busy afternoon hours, people get top priority & get to avoid potential injuries from all those flying surf boards ;) Then as us locals say, when September rolls around, «we get our beaches back»!!!
