Robots & Rogues New & Used Books

Went in today. Despite an empty, reasonably passable shop the employees didn’t seem interested in helping in any form.
Prices are Amazon or higher. The selection is lackluster at best. Service nonexistent. If you enjoy a third rate, overpriced shop that is unlikely to have anything you’re seeking here you go.
Hold the faith though. I bet the going out of business sale will have deals.

The atmosphere of Robots and Rogues is warm and inviting. The store is owned and operated by people who love what they do and it shows.
The service is great– they can get a hold of what ever you are in search of (if they don’t already have it). They also frequently host local authors for meet and greet opportunities, along with both a comic book club and a sci-​fi book club, which provides a chance to read new titles and meet some folks with shared interests.
Overall, Robots and Rogues is a wonderful addition to our community and I am glad it is here

This is a true gem in the greater lafayette area for anyone interested in SciFi/​Fantasy/​Horror or reading in general! They have a phenomenal selection of all popular authors in the genre, as well as some hidden gems!
I would strongly recommend going here and getting lost in their fantastic selection and great staff.

I used to live a block away from this location, but moved away about a year before the bookstore moved in. That is bittersweet, as scifi/​fantasy is primarily what I read for pleasure. I most certainly would have been in here weekly, spending all of my disposable income, of which I did not have much of when I lived here. As it is, I still manage to make the trip up from Indy a couple times a year to check out what they have in stock. Most recently I came up for a killer book signing/​talk from author Scott Lynch. It was AMAZING. The owners and staff at the store are really nice (and from my hometown of Chesterton — bonus!). I always walk out of here with a handful of great used books, and generally some new picks that I’d forgotten were due to be released.
As a grown up nerd, I wish this place were in my neighborhood now!

I love this place — it’s so convenient having a bookstore on Main Street, especially one that sells exactly what I want to read. Tricia is really helpful too — ask her for a recommendation if you don’t know quite what you’re looking for :)

Walked down Main St. and thought this place looked like a comic and sci-​fi bookstore, but went in just to take a look around anyway. Now that the place takes up two stores they’ve also expanded into other genres and I found a lot of great finds that have been on my list. There are chairs here and there to sit down and flip through a read and a candy machine full of reese’s pieces in case you get munchies. You can also sell books for cash or store credit and they have a cool punch card system so on your tenth purchase you get 20% off, pretty snazzy.

Stopped in after eating at DT Kirby’s which is close by. The name drew us in, and glad we made the stop. The store has a good selection, friendly staff, and cool artwork for sale in the back.

This place has a pretty good selection of genre fiction– I’ve bought 3 or 4 books and really like that they have loyalty cards. The staff is really nice and helpful, they’re always open when I feel like stopping in (usually in the early evening) and the space is cute. They could have a bit more variety, but I’m pretty sure they’re working on it since they have only been open a few months.

The shelves keep getting fuller and the selection keeps getting better at Robots and Rogues — a scifi/​fantasy/​horror/​mystery/​cool fiction speciality new and used bookstore.
Arranged by category, just like any good bookstore, they always have good recommendations and some interesting books that you’ve always thought «Hey, I need to read this» about. =) Well, heres your chance, pick it up here and get to reading!

Good book selection, helpful staff and cool other-​stuff is the reason we’ll keep going back. Downtown Lafayette keeps getting better –and this store is an additional jewel in the growing-​dazzling crown that IS downtown.

Robots and Rogues is an exciting new bookstore in downtown Lafayette. Specializing in fantasy, sci-​fi, horror, mystery, and graphic novels, they have a mixed new/​used inventory. They’re great at recommendations and always ready to answer questions. They already have a nice inventory, but are constantly building it. They buy used books and comics that fit within the above categories. They’ll be happy to order books for you and often have release events for the bigger sci-​fi/​fantasy books. The store was started by two former Borders employees. Go support Robots and Rogues, because we’re lucky to have a store this cool right downtown run by such nice, friendly people who really care about the books they sell.
