When it comes to fast food chicken many people tend to think of that place that’s closed on Sundays and has cute cows in its commercials. I was a huge fan since it’s what I grew up on, then I moved to Louisiana ten years ago. Raising Cane’s has good crispy, crunchy chicken strips but the perfection comes in when you add the Cane’s dipping sauce. I’m not sure what the secret is but it’s love for my taste buds and I enjoy it even on my toast and fries that come with the meal. It’s good stuff all around.

Reading all these good reviews for the place makes me think that maybe I ate somewhere else, but unfortunately I didn’t. It was late and this was one of the few places open so I decided to try it. After a pretty long wait and $ 8 later, I had three chicken fingers, a handful of fries and a piece of bread thrown hastily in a box. To make matters worse, the chicken itself was very bland. Is the dipping sauce there to make up for the tasteless chicken? Well, it didn’t. It’s amazing how they can survive in such a world-class food town like Lafayette. But then again, Burger King seems to be making a go of it here too.

You know, the sauce that everyone raves about is basically a remoulade sauce. I can’t fathom paying $ 10 for some chicken fingers. I suppose since this is Southern Louisiana, everyone loves fried food. That’s why everyone here is going to die of heart disease at one point or another. Their sweet tea is excellent though.

I ordered a 3 piece ’cause I was hungry. They take a bit to cook, but supposedly they are fresh. They were worth the weight. I also had sweet tea. It came with bread and some fries. We went through the drive-thru. It seems that every place in Louisiana has a drive-thru window. Good, because it was muggy outside.

Cane’s is okay but I think its slowly getting worse. Anyone notice when they downsized chicken tenders about a year ago? And what’s up with those bland, awful, tasteless fries? This company claims to be from Louisiana damn it and nothing we produce should be this bland. Shout out to their awesome texas toast though. I have a buddy that use to work there said they marinated the chicken in an ungodly amount of MSG… Probably why it tastes so good.

Number 1 in chicken fingers. Canes is amazing. It has a simple menu and amazing chicken. I live in Arizona now and would punch a baby to get my hands on some Raising Canes. The special dipping sauce is where it’s at.

Cane’s is awful. Not a popular statement around here, but it’s true. Sure, it may be a decent restaurant in, I dunno, Wisconsin. But in Louisiana? What native Louisianan would cook such bland, boring chicken tenders? Those things have absolutely no spice whatsoever on them. Compare this to Popeye’s spicy chicken tenders, which are as close to Louisiana flavor as you’re going to get from fast food. People like Cane’s because of the marketing scheme. It’s the hip fast food place to go. The sauce is, frankly, disgusting, but people slather enough of it on their food that they apparently miss out on how boring the chicken tenders and disgusting the fries are. And don’t get me started on the fries. You know those gross, crinkly Ore Ida fries? Yeah, that’s what Cane’s serves. Gross, huh? If there is a positive, it’s their toast. They have some really decent Texas toast. But then, I’m not paying eight bucks on some gross, freshmen-fifteen-inducing meal for a piece of toast.

Raising Cane’s «One Love» is fried chicken fingers. I don’t generally like chicken but I love Cane’s. Their secret dipping sauce totally has crawfish boil in it. best dipping sauce ever!

I love visiting Louisiana because everything under the sun is fried and there are hundreds of different places dedicated to frying up chicken. Canes is one of those places. The menu is simple. fried chicken tenders. and fries. Pretty simple and you don’t really need much else. They also have a pretty interesting secret sauce which I think is ranch with some sort of seasoning pls a some ketchup mixed in. whatever it is. it make a good fried chicken tender better.

Canes is good quality and has pretty nice décor for a fast food joint. I also like that they are open kind of late. dig.
