From the managers to bartenders to servers EVERYONE in there are the rudest people I have ever met. Words cannot describe how happy i am to no longer ever have to put up with that place. I’ve talked to one of the managers in there and he blatantly told me that they mark up the food as much as they can due to the location and«quality» of food. There food is not bad don’t get me wrong but there pizzas are made to fill up a girl who weighs 120 or less. They’re so pompous and stuck up it gives the city of Lafayette a bad look. I will never take anyone to this restaurant and hope this restaurant goes out of buisness because its a big rip off and scam and mean people profit off of you thinking you’re paying for filet mignon when your getting chicken Sh*T!!!

Just had their«Market Menu» for lunch. This is a weekly special. A wonderful salad with fresh peaches, and a tender warm ravioli main dish. This was the best I have had. Check it out!

We had the calbrese sausage pizza. While our waitress was great. The food is just rather boring. Meh… Won’t be back. Good Caesar dressing.

Worst service ever. Their menu items have always been overpriced for their quality of food but it’s generally a nice, relaxing setting so I will eat there on occasion. However, my latest visit will be my last. There were two of us that sat down for a late lunch. We were seated and ordered pretty quickly since it was late and we were both starving. We sat back to chat and enjoy the nice weather. We watched two more parties sit down at the tables next to us and order. Ten minutes later, we watched the party that sat down immediately AFTER us get their pizzas. One of the ladies complained she wanted the spicy sausage and not the regular sausage so the waiter promptly took it back and promised to redo it for her. Ten minutes later, the second party that arrived ten minutes AFTER I was seated got THEIR food. Another 10 – 15 minutes later, the table next to us gets the corrected pizza. We STILL don’t have our food. By this time, it’s been 40 minutes! It’s 2:30pm and the dining room inside is practically empty. I don’t think they were exactly swamped with orders and why did the two parties seated later than us all have their food but we didn’t? To add insult to injury, our waiter never offered an explanation or apology for the tardiness. He came over twice and each time said the exact same thing, «your food will be out in a moment» and then leave only to return empty handed with the same statement. I don’t know if he knows what«a moment» means but it’s not over half an hour in my book. As the party that sat down after me and got a corrected meal finished their lunch, we got up and left hungry, never having received our food. Pizza Antica will never receive another minute of my time or another penny from me.

I love Pizza Antica and so do my kids and the dogs. Always accommodating, always great food, service and drinks. Love when they change up their menu and specials. I am always happy to wait for a table here because I know I won’t leave disappointed!

Burrata was great– they also had a Sancerre rose I would definitely have again. Our family shared 3 salads that were all wonderful.

This place will never disappoint you. My family and I have been coming for years. The service is great and the food is to die for. I highly recommend the ceased salad and the panini with it. If you love deals, happy hour is the place the go. This place is for almost any celebration. They have very nice outside seating with heat lamps. Staff is very understanding and welcoming, the 7 years I have been here we have only had one mistake which they handled very well. This is the place to come.

Very nice pizza. But very small. In area and volume. As in, an entire pizza isn’t going to work well if split between two people. So order accordingly. But servers have always been very upbeat and pleasant and the toppings on the pizza are inventive and delicious. Their other dishes are quite good as well. Small but well chosen selection of beers and wines. Main downside is noise on the inside(and I suppose traffic noise outside so just … noise). Very reflective surfaces everywhere so tons of clattering and chattering. Can make it difficult to have a normal conversation. But on the flip side, if you want to be boisterous, nobody will notice.

Met up with my Giant’s season ticket buddies to split up this seasons game tickets. We arrived at noon and Pizza Antica was pretty empty but by the time we left it was packed. We ordered a beer and a mushroom & sausage pizza. It was excellent. I ordered a chopped salad that had asparagus, goat cheese, kumquats, and romaine lettuce. The salad was fine but the dressing was very sour. The kumquats had a nice citrus flavor. Service was good. Street metered parking.

Good but very noisy on a Fri night. The servers are excellent and and if you like unique pizza this is the place to go. I had a pesto gnocchi that was v tasty but wish it had been served with some nice crusty bread. Our teen boys were disappointed that they could not get ranch dressing for their pizza crust and one large pizza To share left them hungry. Wish it could have been a little but more relaxing but a nice experience.

The brussels sprouts were amazing. Some might say a bit burnt but I like mine really well done. My white pizza was ok — nice thin crust but could have used a bit more in the toppings. The caesar was OK — dressing good but a bit cheap with the croutons. My companion’s gf pizza was ok taste-wise but was over $ 24 for a small pizza that didn’t even have cheese. By comparison mine off the happy hour menu was $ 9. Did they charge an extra $ 4 per topping?

It is my first time at this location of Pizza Antica. So I didn’t know what to expect. I been before in the one in Mill Valley and I love their food and service. So we celebrate my birthday at this location, we were party of 13. I called to make reservations but unfortunately they don’t take reservations, but they said because I called they will give us a table in 15 mins wait or less. We arrived at 7pm and wait about 10 minutes to be seated. I really appreciate it they’re really stand behind their words. While we waiting the waiter/host offer us a drink or bread, which was really nice of her. Our waiter was so nice and friendly. We got great service. The food was served pretty fast even when the place was crowed. Their margarita pizza was so delicious! Highly recommended. Everyone was very happy and enjoyed the foods, drinks and desserts! Definitely will be back here again!

Had a nice lunch here on a Sunday. The outdoor seating is nice. They had a brunch menu until 3pm, but we opted for salad and pizza. The kale salad is a little different than most restaurants. they use dinosaur kale, which might not appeal to everyone, but we really enjoyed splitting this salad. We also ordered the Bianca pizza– no sauce, but delicious olive oil with cheeses and basil. The small size was perfect for two! The service was good, although the food took a little long to come out. The brunch menu featured some Italian donuts, but we decided to save that dessert treat for next time. Sounded delicious.

Not bad, fresh, high quality ingredients especially on salads. However pizza is mediocre but it is a major step above most others in this area. Artisanal style, but sorely lacking in depth and flavor. Sparse menu too with some odd entrees on what is otherwise a high end pizza place. I also didn’t appreciate the American bacon slices on the pizza where«pancetta» was advertised. Maybe get away with that in NorCal but it’s not nice and it’s being cheap. Wines decent from selection standpoint, but way pricey for this very casual setting. Staff friendly, place clean, nice outdoor area. But not sure this is worth a return visit after the third meal here. Chef needs to get real, exploit the great ingredients available here and add some flavor and take some risks here. Else it’s just another pizza place albeit a bit better than most(at least around the East Bay Area).

I love the pizza’s dough/crust at Pizza Antica, but I think the sauce can be improved. I’m mainly referring to their Margherita pizza, which was cooked perfectly without any burnt basil. However, the tomato sauce was a little too tart. We also tried their Fennel Sausage pizza and it didn’t wow us either. One thing that we all agreed and loved was the Burrata appetizer with roasted figs, arugula, balsamic and toasted focaccia. Absolutely delicious!

My wife was in the mood for pizza while we were in Lafayette, but she doesn’t like Patxi’s(yeah, I know, wtf?). So we decided to try Pizza Antica. Food: 4⁄5. Food was delicious. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs while my wife had the margherita pizza. The pizza was perfect, according to my wife. Just enough sauce and the bread was nice and crispy. The meatballs were outstanding, the sauce definitely had a lot of depth too it and I recommend it. Minus one star for dessert. Their chocolate chunk cookie came out hard and cold. Tasted like it came from the box, which I could’ve just gotten for the same price as this one cookie! Service: 5⁄5. The server was attentive, he was able to answer all of our questions and knew the menu well. He would frequently check on us to see how we were doing. I love that they box our left overs instead of making us do it. The man who served our food, a different person, even refilled our waters before he left. Great customer service! Cleanliness: 4⁄5. The dining area was very clean, but the bathroom could’ve been better. Towels all over the ground and the toilet was dirty. You wouldn’t have expected that kind of bathroom in such a place. Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Great atmosphere. Music might have been too loud, but they had a bar, the dim lights, and it was a great place for family and dates. Overall: 4⁄5. I’d love to give this place 5 stars but that would mean I found nothing for them to improve on. Dessert and bathroom cleanliness brings them down to 4. I’ll definitely be coming back here and will update my review. But all in all, I highly recommend it! PS: Hate to say it, but I do like patxi’s better, for anyone deciding between the two.

I love this place! Though I’ve only lived in Nor Cal for about five months now, I’m assembling my go to list and Antica is in the top 3. So a couple of tips: definitely call ahead and get on the call in list. I called in for our 630pm arrival and the cheery hosts sat us immediately. Also on parking: Mt Diablo is pretty tough to find a spot so consider any of the side streets south of the restaurant. One thing I noticed as a former waiter is how they allow any of their staff to take care of you. For example here are all the staff members who«touched«us: upon sitting, we believe the mgr on duty provided us water and asked for our drink order. The waiter came to take our order. Another waiter or staff member refilled my water. Another person brought our pizzas out. To say we were properly and efficiently taken care of speaks volumes of how well this place is run. Oh yes the food: we ordered the fennel sausage pizza and our favorite, margharita(so?). Both were top notch and the crust was perfectly crisp. Sausage had that nice fennel n pepper taste. The fiancé ordered a $ 9 chocolatey beer which I didn’t care for(esp the price considering a pizza is about $ 12 and up), but as they say happy(almost) wife, happy life.

Have been coming to PA for years and now that I am about to move from CA, thought«it’s time for a review». Their menu changes and I like some seasons choices better than others but I can always find something to love. Their salad dressings are amazing and so full of flavor! Love their chopped salads with my fave being the BLT and I always have a piadini which is the perfect way to eat a salad! The Tuscan fried chicken with spicy honey is always a tasty treat and I love their burrata(always so fresh). Their are always so many yummy choices that I rarely order pizza. When I do though, I always think I should get pizza more often, it’s so good. Great staff who are always so great putting up with additions/subtraction to my salad and pizza orders. As I head out to NC, I realize Pizza Antica will be missed!
