Worst place to stay. «Non smoke» room but room smells like cigarettes and cleaning products. Understanding it’s «cheap», but terrible service for its price. Desk service was terrible, room service wasn’t good. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

The best solid 3 star motel I’ve stayed at in recent memory. All the basics and a great price. Good water pressure too. One pillow had a blood stain.

Really nice and CLEAN! I was shocked how nice the room was for the money we paid. We travel to lots of road games in the Big Ten and this has been the cheapest($ 60) and best place to stay yet. I felt like I was in an ikea show room! It had a frig and a microwave too! That’s luxury for a traveling tailgate crew. The beds weren’t anything special but they were clean and I slept well in them.

It was CLEAN. Every bit as basic as you’d expect, for a night’s sleep and shower at $ 60 but cleaner than many 4stars where I’ve spent a lot more. Clean is really important to me and this was surprisingly so.

Driving through on way back to town. The biggest thing is «You get what you pay for»! For $ 41.00 this hotel defines that statement. The rooms are definitely old, TV is very old, shower needs some work, carpet is rough, definitely an odor in the room, blanket on bed needs replaced. The staff that checked me in was very nice and no issues.

The first time I stayed with this Motel 6 was in early January. It was a room in the back of the place and was reasonably clean, definitely outdated, but did the job so I stayed there again in March when I was coming through the area. I received a room that faced the front of the hotel. The bedspreads were filthy, everything had either a cigarette burn or a hole from a cigarette burn, the bathroom floor was inexplicably wet, and when I turned off the lights to sleep, I was only distracted from my non-stop itching by the sound of mice/rats in the walls! I WASOUTOFTHERE! The front desk refused to give me a refund so I went over to Comfort Inn Suites for a much better time. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

We found ourselves driving down I-65 in a blinding snowstorm — got off the road at Lafayette and into Motel 6 where we were welcomed and shown to a very nice and clean room for the night for a reasonable rate for us and our kids. Thanks folks for leavin the light on!

On a football weekend, I went for semi-affordability and vacancy. Next time I will just strive for vacancy. The fridge came with 3 slices of pizza in it. I’m not sure how long they were in there… I hope the traveller after me enjoys the pizza as well as my half burrito. The room came with 2 thin bath towels, 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth with holes in it. No kleenex in the dispenser and no hair dryer. The TV remote was out of a battery. I awoke in the morning to footsteps above me. I was on the top floor. Creepppy. Next time, I will try to call earlier in the season and save up for a better place!

DISGUSTING! We had the most awful room here… it smelled like bug spray, the carpet and bedding were so damp that we left the AC on the really cold temp they had it set on so we wouldn’t experience and more condensation. We told the woman at the desk we had been driving for 15 hours and were travelling with two ELDERLY pups. I thought we were all going to sick after trying to sleep in the cold and humid room. We put the fresh veggies and fruit we travel with in the fridge and the next morning it was all frozen! Had to throw every bit of it away. Never again will I stay in any MOtel 6… it was my first and last visit!

Generally we’re more of a Holiday Inn, Country Inn and Suites type of people. However, when you’re in West Lafayette on a Friday night during a home football weekend and are booking at the last –minute, what choice do you have? Most hotels were booked solid and those that weren’t jacked their prices into the $ 170+ prices. No way! I had read some reviews for Motel 6 on TripAdvisor and this Motel 6 had received good ratings. It was$ 109, so it was reasonably priced(+) and they are dog-friendly(big + as we have two Goldens). They don’t even charge extra for dogs(super +). It’s located right off I-65 and is near Olive Garden(++), McDonald’s and other restuarants. Not really walk-able, though, as it’s a high traffic area, but a very short car ride(few minutes and you’re there). We were in room #239. The rooms were decent-sized. Big enough to put up the pack and play for our 2 year old and two keep the two Goldens happy. I would have gone 4 stars, but my husband noticed a stain on one of the pillows(ewwwh!) and some big stains on one of the chairs. There was no kleenex(facial tissues, excuse me) in the room either(and that made me wonder how well the room had gotten cleaned). However, it was quiet and the bed was comfortable enough.(Maybe it should be 4 stars for those two important points!). Check in and check out were both under five minutes. Definitely make sure to remember your toiletries, though. You get soap and shampoo and that’s about it.(Really wished for some lotion!) Overall, I would be willing to stay there again if we needed to, but it probably wouldn’t be the first place I looked.
