Kari and Lance are fantastic people. They are down to earth and trustworthy. When working with contractors for your home remodel, I think the most important characteristic is trust. You can trust and rely Kari and Lance. I’ve worked closely with them for years and have found them both to be honest and caring. Great job guys.

Kari and Lance Grosz of Lamorinda Construction did an addition for us in the fall of 2011.
We were lucky to find this professional team. Their work was excellent and we are delighted at the top notch execution. We get many compliments from friends and neighbors — as well as our realtor — on the high quality of the workmanship.
Kari holds the contractors license and she manages their team of employees (directing them on what needs to be done and overseeing the work). Her strength is design and I appreciated her input as we visited the various vendors. She enhanced all of the ideas that we had and made them better! Lance, who was a delight to work with, primarily oversaw the electrical and plumbing projects and was on the job site daily.
They have a team of several long-​term professional employees who were hard working, capable, trustworthy and polite. The job site was always cleaned up at the end of the day and I felt safe having them in my home even when I wasn’t there.
We used PDF as our architects and this was a contact through Kari. They have worked on a number of projects together. I found them to be very quick and efficient and we were pleased with their ideas and the ultimate execution of the plans.
Our addition was finished on-​time and on-​budget. There were times when they went well past expectations to ensure that our addition was everything that we wanted and more! I am talking to them again about future projects that we have in mind and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to friends! If you want the best, go with the best!
One final note. We also did a pool renovation at the same time as the addition but this was done through another vendor. This other contractor did a horrible job. I’ve seen first-​hand how hiring the wrong people can be frustrating, time-​consuming and costly. Lamorinda Construction was very helpful and supportive during this time and I was grateful to have their experience on my side!

by word of mouth we heard about Lamorinda Construction and included them in the initial group of contractors giving estimates for a moderate remodel of our home. their estimate was the lowest but we chose them because kari and lance are excellent communicators, thorough in planning, and easy to work with.
if you choose la morinda construction your phone calls will be answered or returned quickly, your requests (no matter how minor) will be honored, you will be kept up to date on project progress, you will be made aware of any changes or issues that come up, the work will of excellent quality and it will be completed on time.
in the coming years we will be doing several other home projects. we plan on using la morinda construction for all of them and highly recommend their services.
they just made things easy for us and we love the results.

We have had a wonderful time doing a remodel and an addition to our home. It’s been wonderful because of Kari and Lance… and their great crew.
Most of our home was remodeled and brought ‘up to date’ as well as an addition. Kari’s wonderful eye for detail and design made our remodel and new spaces fabulous.
Before Kari and Lance we had no idea a remodel /​addition could actually be fun.
