The lobby had unique aromatherapy due to the body odor of the front desk clerk which filled the lobby with a nauseating stench. I noticed beautiful décor that posted information prohibiting smoking in the entire hotel. So, when we opened the door to our room we were welcomed by the scent of cigarettes and musk we were a little surprised. Crawling into our creaky beds we found that the mattresses were sunken into on one side making the fence shu of the room off kiltered(forcing us to sleep on a specific side of the bed) Oh and for another surprise, one of the beds was unlevel made for an amusement ride of sorts! Who needs an an alarm when there’s natural sounds of children herding quickly down the hallways at the crack of 8am, or the charming slam of the neighbor’s door coming to a vigorous shut. I specially enjoyed not having anxiety over too many choices at breakfast. Plus, I didn’t have to sit alone! There was garbage, crumbs and syrup to accompany me at rhe breakfast table because every table had these things setting there in the breakfast book. Checking out was a breeze after you played a scavenger hunt looking for the receptionist who was on a smoke break. I’d reommend this location to anyone wanting to overpay for not being able to sleep, eat or swim.

Purdue graduation — Booked 3 nights at La Quinta. Front desk staff was available, but not welcoming or friendly. Standard room was quiet, clean, with 2 comfortable beds, crisp linens, a microwave and small refrig, as well as a large flat screen tv. Although there was no variety on weekdays, we were grateful for the few hot Breakfast items regularly offered on those cool, rainy mornings. Several GF options available too. Rainy days, and travel stress aggravated old aches and pains, and made us anxious to check-out the hot tub, and indoor pool. The attractive pool area is easy to access on the first floor, but the water was a murky green color and the heavily chlorinated water burned my eyes, and made it hard to breathe in the pool area, so I had to pass. When I return this month I will check out other area hotels.

Run down. Breakfast is limited in choice and volume. Pool is an absolute DISASTER. Pool cold, cloudy due to too much chlorine. So much so that cleaning lady had outside door open because of the overwhelming chlorine odor. Hot tub is way too hot. Room is blah at best. Don’t upgrade to the«executive» suite.

I’ve stayed at numerous La Quintas in Illinois and Indiana, and most overnight stays have been very enjoyable. I guess you could say I «have my ducks in a row!»(from a LaQ TV spot) And so continued a trend of me staying at a nice, but affordable hotel chain, and the fact that I’d be able to enjoy a dip in their pool made me that much happier… or not. Turns out, their swimming area was closed both days due to ‘an unforeseen chemical imbalance issue’, which sounds terrifying, but in all likelihood was probably some kid peed in it the day before and that messed up the pH reading. Oh well. Despite the swimming setback, I still got a solid night’s sleep and will probably do so again in the future at other La Quintas. Hopefully their pools are not out-of-order as well.

I’m a big fan of La Quinta! After a long day of travel, I decided to put up here for the night. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. The bed was huge! Very quiet location and close to a Cracker Barrel so I was very happy. The staff was decent, no complaints. And the shower’s water pressure was great!!! Lol

OK so for a La Quinta I’m gunna say this«it was pretty darn nice!» But for comparing to other hotels it was ok… I had no troubles with Wi-Fi the first night, the second day I got done working and back to the hotel about 2:30pm no Wi-Fi so call the front desk and she tells me the business center is working fine(well I’m sure that doesn’t use the Wi-Fi it is probably hard wired in) so she says she will re-start the router and then proceeds to tell me if that doesn’t work I don’t know how to fix it. I took from this statement«don’t call me back if it doesn’t work». NOT very good customer service. Tried restarting my computer etc needless to say the Wi-Fi never did work and I was leaving the next day. The breakfast was alright. The bed also had some issues with me sinking into the pillowtop and in the morning it was almost difficult to get back out of the bed as I had«sunk» so far into it… makes sleeping a little uncomfortable. Overall the room was clean and fairly new so that was good. I would give this place another shot if in the area.

We stayed at this hotel in August 2012 and were completely satisfied. Everything was clean and staff was very professional and friendly. When we’re back in the area we’ll stay again.

I am a frequent stayer at this hotel due to business commitments. Every stay has been great, they know my name, have a treat waiting for me in my room. The room is always clean, very spacious with a comfortable bed. All rooms are equipped with a flat screen tv and reliable Internet plus you can’t beat the price.

Hotel Review A home away from home. I was in town for a licensing exam and found this to be the best hotel deal in the city. It was inexpensive, but the quality of the hotel was wonderful. There is only a few staff members that work at the hotel, but the owner/manager was especially friendly. He was helpful and insightful in providing answers to questions about the surrounding area and very receptive to comments. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean. The location is just east of the main road and is located in a safe well lite neighborhood. In the rooms, you get a flat screen LCD with satellite HDTV and free HBO. Standard amenities available in the bathroom. On site there is small gym on the third floor, computer with printer on the first floor. Free high speed WIFI on all floors. In addition, there is a free well stocked continental breakfast every morning Pros– bargain price, lots of amenities, top notch manager Cons– none Hidden deals 1. Free high speed WIFI 2. Free continental breakfast(bagels, make your own waffle, toast, coffee, cereal, milk, yogurt, juice, etc.)
