Have been in the same room for 3 days and the ignorant people above us for the last 3 nights have been crazy!!! Banging at all times of the night, do not have respect for the people below. They stomp on the floor constantly. Roll their chair all day. Have an annoying barking dog. To top it off have no breakfast or pool. Highly dissapointed especially how much the room costs…

I’ll try to keep this short. While visiting family in Lafayette we decided to stay at a hotel so we didn’t have to keep on sleeping on the floor. Booked the room. Parking was crowded. It took 20 mins maybe even more to check in.(No one was in the front desk) paid for 3 people turns out they don’t have roll away beds. I mean what kind of hotel doesn’t have roll aways especially if you charge per person. Now we here grumpy and annoyed. Still ended up sleeping on the ground but we stupidly paid over $ 100 to do so. Rooms are ok. Beds are not comfortable. The pillows are fine. I would suggest to research before booking.

This is an OK hotel that has almost everything that you need if you don’t mind cooking breakfast yourself. It mostly caters to the travelers who need a room long term and is on a budget. Some key points to consider before booking this room is that the maids only clean your room once a week, the WIFI is decent(however can slow down for streaming videos), and no free breakfast. The location is perfect since it’s surrounded by restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. I guess this is a popular side of Lafayette. I was able to stop by Whole Foods and Super Target to buy breakfast items and healthy snacks before I checked in. On occasion, some of the guys and I would hit up bars like«Dix almost famous daiquiris» and«Walk-On’s» close by. Restaurant choices are plentiful around the area. My room was clean and the people at the front desk were nice. Key Tips: –Be careful around the intersections. The one next to the hotel has a red-light and speed camera! –If you need a special kitchen appliance(i.e. juicer, electric grill, blender), you can borrow one down-stairs for free.

I do not plan on staying at this hotel again. The hallways and lobby were clean, so that should be reflected as well in the rooms. Definitely not the case! I understand that extended stay hotels do not have the same cleaning schedules as other hotels. However, a sweep of each room should still be done each day, especially when a new guest is checking in. When we got to our hotel room, it seemed clean enough. Upon a closer look, I discovered a dirty cleaning rag on our air conditioning unit, a used drinking glass in the bathroom with water still in it, and a hand towel with lipstick on it in the bathroom cabinet drawer. Not deal breakers, but negligent cleaning, nonetheless. Our a/c unit clicked and thumped annoyingly all night the first night of our stay; luckily, though, the temperature was nice and cold, the way i like it. The next day, we asked the front desk for maintenance to come check the a/c which was still clicking and thumping. We were told that maintenance wasn’t working(!) and that there wasn’t anyone to come look at it. After much finagling and fussing on my husband’s part, the hotel staff managed to get us situated in another room, albeit with a smaller bed and crappier pillows, but nothing clicking or thumping. z Please get your act together, Candlewood Suites.

This is the worst hotel in which I have ever stayed. The toilet in the room is stopped– up. Housekeeping cannot get it resolved. They cannot put me in another room because there are no available clean rooms and there are people waiting in the lobby for their rooms for which they have confirmed reservations — and it is10:30 pm. According to the poor guy at the desk all of his calls to the. GM have gone to voicemail for the last 3 hours. The owner, Dr. Odom, should be scandalized by what is going on at his hotel. And you should stay anywhere but here.

Took more than 15 minutes to check in. They room they put me was already occupied — awkward. Slow wifi when it works, which is not all the time. They clean only once a week. No breakfast like almost every other competitor. Decent rooms.
