The Mat West Company

Great rental company if you’re looking for a small warehouse space. They are well organized and were able to process my application within a week. They were very thorough with the company guidelines and standards. They offer month to month rental agreements which is rare for San Dimas area. The landscaping is well maintained and they have a maintenance crew that maintains all of the properties.

I rented from them in San Dimas for about 4 years before I moved my business to Irvine. Paid my rent on time, talked to the management once in a while, small talk /​networking with the neighbors. The location is a warehouse workshop and some office in between.
They are pretty uptight about keeping the place clean but I like to keep my workplaces clean so no issue there. Tip: Just grab one of the guys to glance over the place before you leave and they might give you some pointers. Would recommend for DIY type projects. This was a good startup location for me.

Again, like with the other Mat West listing, it’s important that you read the reviews that look like they are written by real customers. As a real customer I can tell you read all the reviews and take them to heart. While I’m sure this management company and the people working there deal with a lot of different types of people, that doesn’t give them the right to operate with little ethics. They are constantly looking for ways to add fees and charges and constantly include threats of legal action in everything that you do. If you plan to do business with them make sure you take pictures before and after, and more importantly have a lawyer handy because you will probably need the pictures for proof and the lawyer to have any decent interaction with them.
They are going to fee you to death, they are going to cost you extra money getting cashiers checks for everything and they are going to bind you with a nonsensical contracts. Just spend the extra $ 150 and take your business to someone that knows how to have a business relationship.

Pretty sure the good reviews here are paid for by Mat West co. This is the worst place I have ever done business with. Talk about crooks. I rented a unit to store some boxes as it was cheaper than a normal storage unit. I have been to pick up a box or two about 3 times. I am also a 100lb woman so not big and tough. They kept my entire security deposit stating the entire place needed to be repaired including the roll up door which I myself have never opened. Was never strong enough. So according to these crooks I did 1300.00 worth of damage with my boxes of files. BTW when I went to the unit I was in a suit and heels with a designer bag and long nails. Really??? You think I swung my Louis Vuitton around banging up the place? I see that I am not the only one who has the exact same story. I am very upset as is my son as the security deposit was going to be for his braces. I’m horrified that they take advantage of good people in this way.

The staff here know what they are talking about. Everybody seemed knowledgable when I asked my questions, they they didn’t seem annoyed by all the questions I had for them. Overall, the people I talked to seemed to be genuinely concerned with my situation, and helped me out accordingly. My thanks to everyone involved!

Cheapest rent in town but watch out. They will say and promise anything to get you in and then you are at their mercy. They enforce the terms to the letter and go out of their way to assess exorbitant penalties and fees. It’s also nearly impossible to get your deposit back
