We recently moved back to the Coachella Valley after being away in the Los Angeles area for the past 7 years. My previous go-​to hairstylist is no longer available in the CV, so I had to start a new search for a hairstylist. Typically, when looking for someone new to do a service/​job is no issue to me, except when it comes to hair. Let me explain… My hair is very fine & straight + takes a LONG time to grow out. I cannot tell you how many times hairstylists have gotten «scissor-​happy» and chopped more hair than I wanted them to or gave me a haircut THEY wanted rather than what I wanted… I always tell myself «It’s hair. It grows. It doesn’t matter», and it’s completely true, but still a part of me wishes I could just get someone who knows how to cut my hair…
But I digress…
I decided to go to Supercuts this past Sunday to get a haircut. All the girls were busy except for one who was on the phone with a customer. They all greeted me & said someone would be with me soon. The girl on the phone — Sheena — hung up & took care of me. I didn’t wait more than 5 minutes before I was in Sheena’s chair. I told her exactly what I wanted & showed her some pictures on Pinterest of the haircut I wanted (mind you, I have showed the same image to at least 3 other hairstylists & they NEVER got it right…). Well, low & behold, SHE GOT IT PERFECTLY! I was/​am incredibly happy!!! :D
Sheena was polite, knowledgeable, very quick & gave my hair its life back + the exact haircut I wanted. I ended up also purchasing a heat protectant for my hair & while we were looking for the product, she also gave me a quick lesson on how to apply heat to my hair so I don’t damage it. I paid & asked her for a business card because I plan on going back to her for the next haircuts while I grow my hair…

Vanessa J is the best. She’s the manager there I believe and I’ve gone to her for a couple years now. I used to pay tons of money at the «high end» salons for just a trim or cut and some all around color. She first did my nieces (11yrs) hair and cut it into an A-​Line. I was so impressed with her care, professionalism and kindness. I gave her a shot and never looked back. She’s amazing. She even did my hair for my wedding/​honeymoon. My hair is very fine and thin and she takes perfect care. She takes off the right amount to where it still grows and feels fuller. Other hairstylists would take off way too much hair and it would never grow. Just from seeing here my hair has grown from my chin down to my mid-​back. I highly recommend her to all my family and friends. Thank you Vanessa! Here’s to another year of hair cuts and color!

Been here quite a few times… well I’m a regular here for my haircuts actually. Always get greeted and checked in the moment I walk-​in, only had to wait a 1−2times of 15mins or more. I always get a fade and most of the time comes out good. The only problem I ran into when I initially starting coming here was that they could not line up my fade… also had to ask for the line up almost every time when I asked for a medium fade. Other than that, they’re great and frequently ask to rinse your hair after it has been cut too.

Have been to supercuts many times. Every time I go I get greeted right away, if its not from the receptionist its from one of the stylist. I requested Rosario. She is amazing. To request a certain stylist its an $ 2 up charge, I don’t mind because she is the best. The hair cuts are $ 18, regardless the length or gender, which other places would have charged me at least $ 30 just for a trim. Service is wonderful. All stylist are so friendly. Would recommend to anyone. Great for kids also.

I have been here before a few times and had some decent experiences. The ladies who have done my hair in the past were pleasant and did a good job. However my experience today was enough to ensure I will NEVER return.
I was quoted a 20 minute wait but instead waited 35. I didn’t realize it before but as it turns out I had just been fortunate enough not to ever be there when the manger was there or have her as my stylist. She is blonde and tattoo and looks pretty rough. (Didn’t catch her name) She has a rough personality to match. As I waited I over heard her speaking LOUDLY to her male client about things another client had shared with her about their personal life. The male client said very little in response and was probably just wishing she would shut up. Super unprofessional.
I really hoped this woman wouldn’t call my name but just my luck, she did. I wanted my hair dyed and cut and as I tried to explain to her what I wanted in terms of hair color she snapped at me several times and then tried to cover it up with a very non-​genuine patronizing «forced customer service» tone. She spoke to me like I was ignorant in a very LOUD voice that I’m sure everyone in the place could hear.
When I tried to clarify my wishes for my hair color she pushed back some more referencing her years of experience. Not to mention she made very little sense as she rambled on in terms that only people with cosmetology experience would understand. I work in technology and I know better than to ramble on at someone in terms that I understand and they most likely do not. I guess her years of experience haven’t taught her that.
My sister did hair for over 15 years for the same company and has been a manger as well, so I know very well what it takes to be a good manager at a Supercuts and this woman is NOT.
Last time I had this service done it cost a total of $ 100 with tip. This time I was so uncomfortable by her most unpleasant intolerant vibe I got up and left. That woman was NOT touching my hair. Just like that $ 100 walked out the door.
I feel badly for some of the sweet talented stylists I have had here in the past that have to work under her. Unfortunately when you go here you are rolling the dice. If your stylist is this woman you most likely wont enjoy the experience.
