Nice location. Cheap Asian food. hot and sour soup is very watery. Fried rice seemed like as if it was frozen and then served. The orange chicken was very bland. Don’t recommend for Asian food.

Had dinner to go here the other night. For American Chinese, this was really good. I ordered the chicken lo mien and General tso chicken. The lo mein did not have a lot of chicken but the General tso was excellent. I would eat here again.

Asian Wok is among only a handful of Chinese joints in La Porte, and fortunately they are pretty good at what they do. I tend to order beef & snow peas, but I’ve had other dishes here. The food is neither greasy nor overly salty, which is common at Chinese restaurants. It’s also made for the masses, in that nothing is really spicy(the General Tso’s is a little too sweet, in fact). Hot & Sour soup is okay, if not a little bland. Egg rolls here are actually spring rolls — the thin flute-shaped type. If you order a spring roll, you’ll get the same thing, minus meat. This place has a slew of lunch specials. A good value indeed.

Will never be back again. The food takes too long to come out. The egg rolls are really not egg rolls, they are more like spring rolls. The fried rice was nothing more than soy sauce and rice to make it look like fried rice. They did make the fried rice again for us and it was correct. The lo mein and sweet and sour chicken were well cooked.

As I walked in, I was impressed with the look of the place. The food came out quick and was very tasty. I only wish more rice came with the food. But that’s me.

This is our go to for Chinese takeout. The food is good. It has a healthier cleaner taste than the other Chinese restaurants in the area. Friendly fast service too.

I’m not from this area and was craving Chinese, and found this near where I was staying. I had the chicken lo mein and my husband had the orange chicken. The food came out pretty quickly. The lo mein was good, but not the best I’ve had. The orange chicken was nice and crispy but the sauce was overly sweet. The servings were large. If I lived in the area, I’m not sure if I would go back very often.

Always fresh and tasty. Can’t beat their lunch special. For 6.99 you get soup, an egg roll, steamed or fried rice and an entrée. Hidden little gem!

This is a great place for a quick, tasty lunch. They have between 30 — 40 different lunch specials, all which come with an egg roll and soup and your choice of steamed or fried rice for $ 6.25. Everything I’ve had has been pretty good; I typically eat one of the lunch special designated as spicy on the menu. My favorite is the tangy spicy pork. Takeout from there is very smooth as well.

Healthy lunch alert! Steamed chicken with broccoli(and a side of sauce) is probably the healthiest thing you can order here(or at any Chinese restaurant, for that matter). I managed to not leave with a food coma and continued on about my day feeling satisfied, but not weighed down. And all for $ 6? Thanks Asian Wok, I’ll come back for sure!

This place opened up in La Porte, and is an instant«HIT!» 5 Stars on their food and their take out service! I have been getting take out from this place about 1 to 2 times, since they opened, every other week. However, the reason they lose a couple of stara is because my «dine in» experience at this place was pretty bad, and made me look stupid in front of my boss and his boss. First of all, my boss’s boss was in town, for a visit, and they invited me to lunch. I recommended this place, and boy did they make me look bad. The food was good, don’t get me wrong, however the service was HORRIBLE. We went for lunch, little did I know they had $ 5.95 lunch specials, but when we found out, JACKPOT! Anyhow, we were seated and waited 20 minutes for a server. We saw people sit down after us, and get waited on. Finally, when the waitress came, she took our order, for drinks, it took her another 15 minutes to get 2 unsweet teas and a diet coke. By then, a table that came after us, with 4 people, that she was serving too, got their drinks and appetizers. When we ordered our appetizers, we order 3 things, and the 10 minutes later 1 dish came out, and we had to remind her of the other 2, and while she was there, we ordered our lunch. So lunch came with the dish of your choice, soup, and an eggroll. Usually most Chinese establishments bring your soup first, well this one did not. Twenty minutes went by and I began looking around the restaurant, looking for her, and did not see her. Another 10 went by, and 2 of our lunches came out, so she brought us, 2 dishes of food, 2 soups, and 2 eggrolls. She then said she would be right back with the last one, well 10 minutes passed and she brought the last lunch and soup, along with that she brought the other 2 entrees. What a disappointment! So we ate, the food was as good as usual, we paid and left. The waitress really made me look bad, and my boss and his boss, poked fun at me for picking this place, because they were like«Are you showing us an example on customer service should not be?» To summarize, TAKEYOURFOODTOGOANDENJOYSOMEGREATCHINESEFOODATHOME!!!
