I LOVE their breakfast burritos. They also have excellent customer service and an extensive menu. The breakfast burrito comes with hashbrowns in it. I like to have my hashbrowns extra crispy. This can take 20 — 30 minutes to make the burrito if it’s the end of the night and they don’t have all the ingredients ready to go. If that’s the case, you can call them and order the burrito, so that once you arrive it’s ready to go! So awesome :)

Good food, quick service and phenomenal chimichangas. I stumbled upon this place because the drive thru at IN-N-Out was 10 cars deep. Pleasantly surprised on the quality of food from johnnies and have returned 3x in the last 2 weeks. I have tried the burgers, onion rings, fries, and chimichangas as all have been super good. Give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

My family and I are quite fond of this place. It really gives off good vibes for a family environment. It is really cheap and and fast good! I always get the ¼ lb burger with fries for $ 5.

Great place. Just had a pastrami sandwich that was as good as any pastrami sandwich I’ve had anywhere. Girlfriend loved the bacon cheeseburger she ordered, both meals came with fries that were good as well. No complains what-so-ever on either one, ate every last bit of that sandwich and will definitely come back for another one down the line. Pastrami wasn’t too greasy, didn’t make the bun soggy, and even though it wasn’t as cheap as some of their other items it wasn’t that expensive either. Along with the fried zucchini both meals turned out being just shy of $ 22.00. Much better then a similarly priced meal most other places. Speaking of the zucchini, got it on the recommendation of Roy B’s review, but I saw Steve S’s review saying they were soggy. Glad to report Steve didn’t know what he was talking about here. I saw the picture he posted and thought, that doesn’t look soggy at all! And they weren’t. Loved the zucchini, no idea what Steve’s standards are there because they couldn’t have been much better in my eyes. I’ll be back again, that’s for sure.

My husband and I just made a last minute run 5 min before closing and the lady was sooooo nice! She didn’t rush us at all and encouraged us to take our time ordering. I ordered a cheeseburger combo and omg… it hit the spot. The burger was delicious and the fries were the right amount of hot and crispy. Easily one of the best burger diners around.

A REALLY dirty place. Have a look at the health departments inspection records. A MAJOR violation on every inspection and MANY unsanitary reports. gross…

Came here around 10:30AM to get a Breakfast burrito since it had decent reviews. I got there and there were a ton of people already eating which is a good sign at any restaurant but it seemed to be only 1 lady working the register constantly yelling back and forth with the kitchen and calling out numbers. I would say for the overall ratings that this place got I would’ve expected a little better service from her but«she was busy.» I attempted to order the combo breakfast burrito with bacon on the side and the lady’s response was«we are too busy»… Flavor and taste were decent but no where near a 4 star. I gave this place a 3 star being generous…

I ordered the cheeseburger and fries combo, it was $ 6.23 because I got a large drink. Great prices and the food was delicious also. Went at lunch time and the food came out quickly. Nice spot!

I’m a frequent customer and I’ve honestly never been disappointed with their service but I must say it could be cleaner which is why it’s 4 stars. I usually get a breakfast burrito & it has never failed to give me a good start on my early mornings. & their burgers are delicious too. Since they are located across the street from in no out their competition is pretty big but they seem to manage with their great prices & big portions. They also let you order protein style which is a lettuce wrap instead of the buns on your hamburger which is another great Bonus! If you get breakfast, call ahead on the weekend because their mornings are always busy!

Been wanting a breakfast burrito for so long and this place serves breakfast all day so jackpot. Portion is huge with great service and easy parking. Good was good but something was missing. They got a lot of choices at great prices so gonna come back here to try the rest. Huge plus to their arrangements on condiments and little things. Very organize and no other store do the same.

I’ve been here 3 times to get a breakfast burrito. The wait times have always been around 30 minutes. I don’t know if I just have bad luck or this is the norm. This last time I went was during the start of lunch rush. They ended up giving my food away to someone who had ordered the same thing. They would call out orders by the food and not the number. Food is about what you can expect from small diner. Good not great. Probably won’t be going back after that last time.

A popular pickup location at work, I finally tried it. Dry burger, limp fries. The special is not.

If I can get breakfast for lunch, I always go with that option. Johnie’s is a typical burger joint. The good thing here, Breakfast is served all day long, YES! I picked up the boy and met my wife here for lunch. They had a lot of choices and specials that were very wallet friendly. It took a while to decided what to get, here’s the rundown: Pork Chop & Eggs — It came with hash browns and toast(sourdough). I got 2 pcs of pork chop, light on the seasoning and very thinly cut. It was just okay. Eggs were perfectly cooked sunny side up. Hamburger(Protein Style) — Wrapped in lettuce with tomato and thousand island dressing. That was a good tasting burger! Yum! Fried Zucchini — Not very good. They were soggy? WTH! I want my fried zucchini to be crispy outside and tender inside. These were just soggy, soggy. No Good, Pass on this one. Kid’s Cheeseburger w/Fries — They were okay. The boy enjoyed his burger and fries. He just wished there were more crispy fries in there than what he got. Service was good. They cooked everything to order, so it did take some time(not a problem) I like freshly cooked food, not heat lamp city. The manager was very good. He realized the person taking the order marked my order to go and my wife’s order for dine in. He clarified it with me and got both order for the dine in option. Good catch Mr Manager. Price was very reasonable. Specially for the specials. I think I’ll get one of the specials next time. Johnie’s is a solid burger joint and if you want breakfast, come on down! 2015 Review #55

Best breakfast deal in town and food is good, nothing fancy, just straight up good food. I’m obsessed with their french toast special, eggs over easy, bacon and a side of rye toast. Their breakfast burrito was insanely good. So simple. Tasty. Perfect. It does get pretty packed in here, patio is small, indoor seating is charming but clean. Yeah kinda divey but that’s when you know, the food is good! They have some specials I definitely want to try, like the ¼lb burger w/fries and medium soda for $ 4.99 and the chicken sandwich also with fries and medium drink for $ 7.99. Looks like a everyday thing, nice. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Went for dinner, but tried the steak breakfast burrito after reading the reviews. I agree, it’s a huge burrito and really pretty good. I think I have had better, but not at a burger joint. Also, the portions are huge. $ 6.75 for a steak and egg burrito, They add hash browns which they cook with bell peppers that give it a great kick. A little too much cheese for my taste, but cheese lovers would be satisfied. Tip — if you like your food spicy, ask them to put the Mexican red salsa inside the burrito. Definitely make me want to try some of the other menu items. Will be back!

This is my new favorite breakfast spot. Its definitely not fancy. in fact, its far from it. But it is good, inexpensive, and pleasant. I am won over. You can’t beat their breakfast deals anywhere. $ 3.79 for either pancakes or French toast, 2 eggs any style(not sure about poached), and meat(Bacon or sausage). Top it off with a side of rye toast and we were out of here for $ 11, with tip. I’ve had their breakfast and their breakfast burrito; and have been impressed by both. Next try will be dinner.

Breakfast Burritos. Come Here for That and You Will Become a Repeat Customer. I can say that having dined here three times(dinner, lunch, brunch) in the past few weeks and despite my love for running, I have an equal love for American diner/fast food. (The End) But I digress. Johnie’s Jr doesn’t just serve breakfast burritos and in fact offers an immense selection of food at a very affordable price. In that way it’s a blend of a diner/fast food establishment but with very reasonable prices. You really have to give credit to Johnie’s since it has formidable competitors up and down Valley View(St). Nevertheless, it draws consistent patronage as substantiated by my three visits. They must be doing something right if you can hold your own against In and Out, Taco Bell and Farmer Boys. FOOD: The selection itself should get four stars because you can get anything from pancakes, to a gyro and to even a steak dinner. All prepared at all times of the day. The only downside is that you may be overwhelmed because you really do not know where to begin! In two of my visits I had the highly touted breakfast burritos and they are touted for a reason. I have had my share of excellent burritos up and down California and what Johnie’s offers is a REALLYHEARTYBREAKFASTBURRITO. This hefty entrée is «homemade goodness at under $ 5″ – how many places offer that??? Not to dismiss the rest of the food… The Fat Boy Burger, Onion Rings and Pancakes were priced exceptionally well. The quality is comparable to what you’d get at a Denny’s/Norms but at a better value. Some may say „well the _____is bigger at Denny’s/Norms“ and to that I say…“perhaps, but also tastes much more processed and at almost double the price». SERVICE: 5 Stars The staff during my three visits were all friendly and patient. The food is presented on a plate and depending on your entrée, with silverware. Wow. The food itself is packaged incredibly well. Also, wow. Name me another non-full service restaurant that is comparable. Takes a page from the 1950s. Overall, Johnie’s Jr is an unexpected delight. Like its breakfast burrito, this humble establishment will amaze you through its simplicity and whole hearted goodness.

For many weekends now, my husband and I have been coming here for their delicious bacon breakfast burritos! It’s a pretty good size so we usually share one as a small quick breakfast. Service is super fast, prices are cheap, restaurant is clean, and there’s plenty of seating inside and out! On Saturdays, it can get a little crowded if you come late in the morning. I’m so glad I saw other people’s reviews of breakfast burritos or else it would’ve just been a «burger» place that we would drive past.

I can’t believe I’ve never written a review for this place been here dozens and dozens of times. The Johnie’s «JJ» breakfast sandwich is excellent and a great deal before 11 o’clock at two for 4 bucks! I get them with Swiss instead of cheddar. The Swiss is that processed stuff like white valveeta but I grew up eating it so to me it’s good stuff, especially after a night of drinks. I get the breakfast burrito without the pico de gallo with Swiss instead of cheddar and add bacon. I ask for some of their homemade red sauce on the side. That red salsa they make is the bomb u gotta try it. I haven’t had too much of their other stuff which is hard to believe because I live super close. I’ll definitely be trying some of their other items soon. I have tried the fried zucchini strips and again so good, super huge order and the ranch dipping sauce that comes with it is awesome.
