This is my favorite Mexican restaurant nearby. Their Asada meat is fantastic on anything. It’s not really fatty like other places. The albondigas are to die for and the posole is not too bad. The prices are reasonable too, but bring cash.

Their menudo is the best! We’ve been looking all over to get the original mexican style menudo and we finally did. Also try their tacos de canasta. My kids love this place specially for their chocolate shakes and fresh made fruit water. It’s our favorite place on Sundays.

Had to repost since our last post this place has changed its service and cook, food is not the greatest but the service makes it two stars. We stopped by today and got bad attitude, and not the greatest tasting food.

This place is a gem. Every time I come here I get awesome service and the BEST authentic Mexican food!!! Always hot and fresh. You can tell they take pride in keeping everything very clean and organized which is really important to me when deciding on where to eat. Any time I go somewhere else now it’s usually a let down. There are so many Mexican food spots in so cal to choose from, but there’s only one Tacos El Rey. If you’re debating on choosing this restaurant over another, choose this one. You won’t regret it.

The place is near by, so, I tend to frequent it. The food overall is better than average. Just, don’t make the mistake in getting there 30 to 40 minutes before they close. They tend to stop serving customers around that time. Even though they’re supposed to be open till 9. They should change their closing time to 8pm. That way I won’t bother going after 8pm.

Customer Service is always amazing here they actually remember my Boyfriend and me when we come to eat, and the food is delicious as well. I recommend them to all my friends rather than Alberto’s across the street. Their breakfast burritos taste amazing as well.

This place has gone down hill… It used to be always full of people and they used to have More cooks. Today only one cook and one cashier and they keep raising their prices… The menudo is good I’ll them that but most of the time the food is over priced and too greasy ., we waited a long time to get our food and there were no other customers also they forgot to give us cilantro for the tacos !!! I feel bad but maybe Alberto’s is a better mexican food place and it’s just accross the street

Went today and the asada tacos were all fat and service was super slow yet I was the only one there. Never going back. Not worth the disgusting food.

Bomb tacos and beans and rice are good so you know they got it going on, especially with the smoothie and desert section

Quick and dirty review: Super nachos: super good! Super amount Super ok price! Tripas tacos: i REALLY wanted to like it but it ‘s too rich for me. Maybe u have to grow up with it. But it is worth a try. You might like it Breakfast burrito: my wife likes it. But best is still at PKs. Still i’m sure its better then albertos. Service: has been good both times. I will definitely be back again. Oh yeah the nachos is enough for two people unless you’re a heavy hitter.

By far, my favourite Mexican place to go eat. My boyfriend and I go here to get the Tripas Burrito and it’s just as good as the first time we came here! I haven’t really ordered anything since. The staff only speaks Spanish and very little English but they’re very friendly regardless love this place!

I will start by saying. I used to like this place, there was very friendly people. Today was a complete different story. The girl at the register was extremely, rude and short. I ordered Mole and the Cashier replied very rude and short«we don’t have any» I asked her why. She replied«we ran out» I ordered a green juice, again she replied rudely cutting me off by saying«we don’t have that» and before I could say anything else. She said we only have orange and carrot. I asked for flower tortillas and she replied«we only have corn». I’m very disappointed.

Food is good, the younger cashier gal needs an attitude adjustment. She’s never pleasant and looks bothered every time you ask for something; like your drink! WTH

After seeing Unilocal photos we came here for some awesome Super Nachos. Date: August 15, 2015 @1PM on a Friday. The place is small but authentic looking and does have a sauce bar with salsa, roja and verde — which are plusses for such a small place. Service: We ordered take out. However, with such a small staff and the cashier being the same person cleaning tables you’ll be left waiting to ask even a simple question. Food: The«Super Nachos» were super lame. These are americanized style nachos — not even close to what you should expect from a Mexican restaurant. They consisted of too much nacho cheese(the orange one made from American Cheese), stale chips, little salsa, no beans, no guacamole, and little sour cream. It was like eating sopped up microwaved tortillas with American cheese. Their picture shows nachos with guacamole heavy amounts of sauces, sourcream, jalapeños, cheese and beans. However, serving portion and ingredients didn’t even look the same — the cashier quoted the exact ingredients we should’ve gotten before we ordered too. The only saving grace was our choice to add carne asada, which was of course delicious. Other Unilocal images are a tell-tale sign of inconsistency. They failed to advertise or tell us that they ran out of guacamole and the plate itself was terribly expensive and small for $ 7.14 after tax. You’re better off getting Super Nachos or Super Fries from Alberto’s across the street. I’m sure their tacos must be good and other dishes based on the carne asada we had but this experience left a bad taste and I’m not sure I’d come back.

Tripas… Tripas…Tripas I dream about their Tripas Crispy outside and soft and chewy inside. Tripas cooked to perfection. Funny because it tastes way better than having one at a Speciality Korean BBQ place that serves Tripas as their main. I even want to order their Tripas Tacos without the tortillas and just want their Tripas with cilantro and onions. It’s that good.

This place is pretty close to the house, but I never made an effort to go. One of our friends recommended it for tacos, so we decided to check it out. I had the super nachos with chicken. They weren’t all that super– in fact, they were sort of soggy and the cheese was pretty watery. There was a good amount of shredded chicken, avocado, sour cream and tomatoes, however, it wasn’t great. I definitely would not order this, especially since there is an Alberto’s across the street that makes a mean plate of fattening food. They make fresh juice for pretty cheap. Not a lot of options, but they juice it right there in front of you. For under $ 4 I got a 16oz carrot and orange juice. It was blended super smooth and I sucked it down within three gulps. Because it’s prepared on the spot, it’s not going to be cold, but more like room temperature. It’s delicious, and I’d come back for this for a healthy pick me up during the day. Tacos were good and had good flavor. I only tried the steak, but it was tender and had a good amount per taco. No complaints. They also have a big salsa bar with the obligatory carrots and peppers for your to enjoy, too. The staff was really friendly. The guy that took our order answered any questions and came up to our table regularly to make sure we and the other guests were okay. Something that you don’t expect at a semi-fast food/taco joint. Based on some of the other reviews, I guess service can be hit or miss, but lucky for us, it was definitely a good night. Parking is a little weird because they share a parking lot with an automotive place. At night it’s not much of a problem since you can park in front of the garages. They serve breakfast all day. That’s dangerous, especially if I get a hankering for an egg burrito at night.
