Came to this shop and got a bad haircut. I always tip well and wasn’t even mad about it cause I’m a local. I went back so they can touch it up and they said if wanted someone else to clean it up I would have to pay again. Pathetic. Stay at top top or mj’s. Just needed a 5 min job to touch it up. Hair grows back, business doesn’t. Couldn’t believe it.

I’ve been looking for a new barber since coming back to the Whittier area a couple of months ago. Seems like I finally found one. A La Mirada Barbershop. I came away satisfied with the customer service, my cut and my barber(thanks Chuck. Go Dodgers). Cash/check only, highly recommended.

The barber didn’t do anything close to what I asked him to do. I asked for a light trim on the sides and on the back, and clearly said I wanted nothing off the top. He ended up taking my 6−7in hair down to maybe 3 inches long. Thank you la Mirada barbershop. You are horrible listeners.

First time trying this place, I walk in and the guy cutting hair doesn’t even acknowledge me. There are a couple of guys in the back chatting so I thought someone would come out and help me. Nope! The guy didn’t take long cutting the customer on the chairs hair. It was my turn he again didn’t acknowledge me charged the costumer and headed for the back of the shop he then came back and told me to sit on the chair, I told him what I wanted, he didn’t take long, he didn’t shave my neck, and was done quickly. He gives you a quick glance and then charge me when I got home and took a closer look I noticed that the fade was not even on both sides it was a bad fade on one side actually on both but one was worse

I hate to give them a 3 because Adrian is has been the best barber i found so far. The past two times ive been there he hasnt been availible. So i took the 3rd seat. Not sure if this guy cant hear or just does what he wants, but the first time i told him dont trim the top, just the sides. Next thing you know hes cutting the top and took about an 1″ off, and didnt say anything. This past time(two months later) I went back and he was the only one there. I knnow people that use him so i figured give him anothet shot, plus he was the only one there. I started off by saying DONOTCUTANYTHINGOFFTHETOPJUSTLEAVEITALONE. He starts cutting the sides, and than goes crazy with the comb and machine. By the time i could stop him he pretty my did what he wanted again and cut everything, even the top but took off at least 2″ this time. adrian is the reason this is getting 3 stars. If it wasnt for him i would give this place a 1

I went in a few weeks back for a haircut. Chuck did a pretty good job blending the sides in with the top. I also appreciated how he was able to cut my hair with the grain, so to speak. Other barbers I have gone to only seem to cut it to length, so it doesn’t lay flat on my head. I was surprised after only one cut Chuck was able to get it going in the right direction. I will be back.

13 bucks for a haircut! I recommend going during the week before 3pm and your wait will be non existent. They are cash only but Stater Bros has a Schools First ATM right inside their door. My sister always cut my hair and she recently moved up north. I’ve had 4 different guys cut my hair and my hair has been perfect every time! I will continue to go to LM Barbershop as long as i’m in La Mirada.

Friendly service and skills to pay the bills. People that know good haircutting will ask you where you got yours. Reasonable price and no braggadociousness(I just invented a word)…Adrian is a humble and skilled pro and the other fellas are cool too!

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad hair cut since the time my brother decided to buzz my hair in middle school. The person that cut my hair really jacked it up. After letting my hair(on top) grow for 4 months it was finally at 6″ which made it easier to comb. I told barber to trim only ½ inch from the top with scissors and he cut 3 inches in various lengths. My hair now looks choppy and it’s hard for me to comb it down. My hair sticks up in various places. I can tell you it’s rather humiliating since I work in a professional environment. It’s especially a bummer because after 4 months of taking care of my hair, one barber shop visit and I’ve been set back another 3 months and look like I stuck my head through a wood chopper. I have now been traumatized by this place, I will not recommend it to anyone. Btw, I usually get my haircut at supercuts but I wanted to try a «real barber,» considering that they are more experienced with men’s hair, to see if they could help give me the look I wanted. Instead, it was like they cut my hair in the dark. So, disappointed. I never write bad reviews for any place because I feel like they can improve. But this place…(enough said)

Even when they are busy they accommodate all of their customers in a timely manner. Personally i have never had more than a 20 minute wait. I have tried about 5 other«barber shops» and they can’t shake a stick at ALMB. It is a great place to get a cut and talk it up if your into that. It is what all of the surrounding shops are trying to be, the local barber shop.

I have had no luck with barbershops. Since abandoning my barber over a year ago, I’ve been wandering the barbershop dessert in search of the right one. I thought I found one in Brea, but they are always packed. Even before they open, there’s a line. I hate to wait. No dice, back to the search. I needed a haircut pronto(3 weeks over due). And what do I see on Unilocal,a review for La Mirada Barbershop, by OCCM Ryan C. A good rating, reasonable price and it was close to my house. I was sold. The place is nice and clean. Two flat screen TV(on sports channel). A pool table, first time seeing that at a barbershop. Lol Kitchen table with chairs, first time too. Lol Comfortable chairs to wait. $ 13 for a haircut. Cash Only Ron was my barber. He did a good job. He took his time and was spot on with what I requested. Critique: One side of the wall had mirrors and the TV was on the opposite wall(no mirror on this side like a typical barbershop). I faced the TV side, so I was not able to see what was going on. The cut was good, but I’m just used to seeing the haircut being done. Something to get used to I guess. The loud music on top on the TV sound.(I must be getting old lol) What I liked: The pool table, lol. I didn’t play. My son did. It was his first time at a barbershop. He didn’t get a cut, I just wanted him to get comfortable for future haircuts. That pool table got him occupied while I was getting my haircut. Almost no wait, Yes. I’ll try them for the foreseeable future and see how it goes. For a first time, it was good. Hopefully it’s the end of my search. Only time will tell. Peace!

Having lived in La Mirada for the past three years, I feel kinda silly for not knowing this place was right around the corner from our house. Located in the Stater Bros shopping center where we usually do our grocery shopping, there’s been a cool barber shop there the whole time. Now, I’m not a fan of getting my haircut and I usually wait until the very last minute to do so. My hair was starting to get a little unmanageable with even a hat, so I figured it was about time. I usually go to Anaheim to get chopped but was short on time so I decided to give this place a try. I’m glad I did. I came on a Monday around 1PM and there were four barbers working. I literally waited five minutes before someone was done and I was in a chair. Not a lot of chit-chat(which I like) and he asked questions as he cut. There were two televisions on in the shop that had sports games on — if you’re into that sort of thing, then you’ll be entertained during the experience. I really enjoyed my cut, the place was clean and the staff was courteous. The entire process only cost me $ 13 + tip and I was out the door within 15-minutes. Just be warned, this place is cash only, but it does look like they accept checks as an alternative if you just so happen to have one of those archaic things lying around. I’ll definitely be back!

Awesome spot that my friend recommended. Request a hairstyle and the result was to my liking. They have a great atmosphere whether you want to catch your favorite show on tv or talk about current things that are going around in the world. Great local spot!

Wow, I can’t believe this barbershop has been 2 minutes away from my childhood home since like 30 years before I was born and I’ve NEVER once come here! If time machines were real… Anyways I decided to drop in since my usual stylist at a fancy salon was on vacation and I desperately needed a haircut. So I walked in on a Saturday morning around 9. I’ve only ever seen it from the outside and theres really nothing special about it and on the inside there like an old TV, faded sports pics, baseball cards, a ratty old pool table and a black and white picture of the Rat Pack. It’s like the homey dive bar of barbershops and I loved it. There was no wait but There aren’t that many stations in there so it could probably get full pretty easily. Anyways, I sit down and tell the guy what I want, he gets it and starts working. I was still mostly asleep and the barber took the cue and didn’t talk much but when he did it was some friendly banter, nothing awkward or weird. I just got a buzz cut, nothing special but because my hair stands up perfectly straight, if theres anything uneven it’ll show. This was by far the cleanest cut I’ve ever got and the different lengths followed the contours on my head pretty nicely. Some barbers cut hair the same on everyone, which would be fine if everyones heads were shaped the same, but they’re not. I’m definitely coming back because I’m loving this haircut.

I was looking for a new barber since I used to drive all the way to downtown LA to get a haircut. After trying several other places in the area I was met with nothing but disappointment. Luckily I stumbled upon this place! Went in and just by chance got Adrian to give me a cut. I told him what I wanted and he did his magic. A short ten minutes later I was kind of scared on how it would look since it didn’t take him that long. To my surprise, «WOW» His fade was perfect and I couldn’t ask for a better cut with the time he spent on me. I will definitely return to him from now on to get my haircuts. I can’t speak on any other barbers in the shop but Adrian is the man.

My kid has had his hair cut by the two guys nearest to the door. They are friendly and take their time making sure the cut is perfect. I appreciate that they take their time with my 7 year old and not just with the older customers. They even put cartoons for my kids to watch when we went last. Wait is not long and they acknowledge you when you walk in. Give them a shot.

I drive from the City of Orange to get to the best barber shop in La Mirada. Adrian has been cutting my hair for years. Ever since he use to cut hair in Fullerton. Adrian and his crew are the best at what they do and at an affordable price. From buzz cuts to faux hawks, they know how to cut hair. They only take cash or checks. No cash, no problem, there’s an ATM located in the Stater Bros. next door. They are also very good with kids.
