Interstate All Battery Center

I have the unfortunate ownership of a car that is no longer in production. I went on the search for a battery at all the Club stores in San Diego and found a few odd brands. But I did not feel they were the right choice. I called the La Mesa Interstate battery store, the phone was answered by a very professional man at the other end of the line. I gave Joe the make and model of my car was he had my battery in stock. He gave me a quick education on the plate sizes in various batteries. I felt great about buying a great quality battery for my car and I will recommend Joe and Interstate to my friends! Great service and a very clean store!

Went here to get a battery for an APC UPS. Was in and out in something like 8 minutes. Was totally awesome. They guys here know their stuff and didn’t give my any grief about having to put 2 battery cells together to get the configuration I needed. They whipped out screwdrivers and got right to it.

Life Savors!
After having to jump start my car twice, I made it my mission to get a new battery this weekend. I went to 3 AutoZones, each one sending me to another store in search for a battery that would work in my car. My car is a 2012 Mazda3. As I am being turned down at the last AutoZone, a nice guy in line recommended I go Interstate All Battery up the road. What did I have to loose at this point…
I was greeted when I entered by Fernando (I believe that was his name). There were 3 customers ahead of me and Fernando said it might take about 30 minutes to be seen, since he was down a person at the store. I was going to leave but he looked up my car and told me the cost of my battery (which was cheaper than AutoZone). After that, I decided to wait since I really didn’t want to go somewhere else. While I was waiting (not very long at all might I add), another employee came in named Kevin. He put in my batter and rung me up super fast. It was such a good experience! I would highly recommend coming here if you need a battery!

I needed a battery for my motorcycle so I did some research. I could’ve bought a really good one online, since I had a $ 100 Amazon gift card.
But I saw that Interstate Batteries – a Christian-​owned business– was right down the street from me, so I rode over.
Before I arrived, I saw that mentioning Unilocal would get me 10% off anything in the store (see my attached photo). Cool! When I arrived and checked in with Unilocal,I was happy to see I was offered a $ 10 off discount on anything in the store. Even better!
I found 3 batteries that fit my bike and asked for the best one. As I was buying it, I mentioned the 10% off discount. The salesman immediately told me that the discount didn’t apply to batteries. What!!! At a battery store?
I showed him the Unilocal message and he said, «Yeah, the fine print will say that it doesn’t apply to batteries.» I read the message and there was no «fine print.» I really should’ve just left right then.
Instead, I bought the cheaper battery and left without getting a discount. I was a little frustrated. If you offer a discount, you must honor it!
I’m still a little miffed about the incident and can’t recommend this place to other Unilocalers.

Right off the bat, I was taken back by how new and clean this store looks from the outside. Immediately after walking in I was greeted and the manager started taking care of my battery issue. Not only did Joe Irizarry thoroughly check the battery, he even took the time to explain to me every little detail about the tests and the battery.
I learned a great deal of knowledge from Joe about batteries and now fully understand the in’s and outs of buying and properly maintaining batteries. The great customer service doesn’t stop there. After the tests, Joe hands me a new all state battery and tells me its free. I was thrilled that Interstate held up to its name and gave me the quality that they guarantee.
Thank you Joe Irizarry, and the rest of the Interstate All Battery Center staff. I will definitely be returning.

Ferny really hooked me up, making sure the battery for my POS phone worked and even giving me a discount and waiting patiently while my credit card company decided whether I really was myself. I appreciate a helping hand, a rare thing in companies these days, thanks!
