Well, it’s my fault for checking the reviews AFTER I ate. Ordered the carne asada fries and it’s just not great. The fries were soggy the beef was too wet and helped the fries get soggier. Overall the plate was cold. They gave me a lot of salsa but that didn’t have much flavor either. I promise, I really promise, I’ll check the reviews BEFORE I eat at a new place again.

This was my first tine anx last time eating here I got 5 roll taco with everything on it, but when i got it all it had on it was Cheese, Sour Cream, Avacado(you know what I mean can’t spell the real word), and when i usually order Roll Tacos it has lettuce, tomoto, cheese, and Avacado. And then I use my card to pay and they charged 80 cents for the card. That is crazy. Sorry but never again will i will be going there.

There were a few mistakes on my part and a few mistakes on their part. My mistakes: 1.) Not turning around and walking out when I walked into a horrible rotting smell from inside their restaurant. 2.) Ordering a breakfast burrito with bacon. 3.) Eating the breakfast burrito with bacon. Their mistakes: 1.) Not cleaning the inside of their restaurant. 2.) Making me a tainted breakfast burrito with bacon. 3.) Serving me a tainted breakfast burrito with bacon. About two hours later I unleashed the first of many bowl cleansing movements. I was in bed doubled over in pain and missed my daughters birthday dinner. Thanks Alibertos. I’m sure lots of people eat here and never get sick. But one is too many. Take pride in your restaurant and what you serve. Because my trip yesterday proves your currently do neither!

Wish I hadn’t seem the reviews while I was sitting in the drive thru. Absolutely the worst tasting bean burrito I’ve ever tasted. Daughter’s breakfast burrito was all ham and no egg. SD native. Eaten at enough mediocre taco shops and this is BAD! Not edible. Should have lit my 20 $ on fire. Now I’m home hungry and angry.

This is to-go place for a taco shop in this area! So far everything I order is delicious !! I love their carne asada burrito. Delicious salsas too. I know it doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s delicious! I will be coming back for more

The exterior of Aliberto’s is interesting in the way that it looks like an abandoned building in a Scooby Doo cartoon. Paint is peeling from the walls, trash clings to the legs of tables, the windows look like they haven’t been cleaned since the Reagan administration. It gives your stomach some caution. I threw the dice, though, and had a California burrito. Never judge a book by its garbage. While I was waiting for my food, I noticed there was an entire, discarded, cucumber under their order window. And next to it, a napkin entrenched in a giant spiderweb. I was about to make out my will. Once I got home and tasted the burrito, it wasn’t nearly as terrible as I thought it would be. The carne asada was salty, the fries wobbly. But I didn’t die, so I give it two stars out of five.

If convenient fast quick Mexican food is what your looking for then this is the place for you. But if you want good tasting food then move on and keep looking. Came here to grab a quick bite in between appointments and boy! do I regret it. I should have drove just one more block and had something better. I went with your typical carne asada burrito with a medium horchata. How can you go wrong with that right? Well let me tell you: the meat was not tastey seemed like canned meat hardly any guacamole or Pico in the burrito and that’s all there was to the burrito. Carne, guac and Pico. The hot sauce tasted like old watery ketchup and top the nightmare off my horchata was spoiled sour! Yes!!! Spoiled! I took a huge gulp of what tasted like rotton milk! I’m sorry to report but STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACEITSNOTWORTHIT!!! And my burrito and medium rotten drink cost me $ 10!!!

Ordered a steak, eggs and cheese breakfast burrito last Saturday, 10÷4÷14 from Aliberto’s. I’ve had«problems» with the food here before, but it had been a while and I was in a hurry so I decided to give them one more shot. HORRIBLE. IDEA. Felt slightly nauseous and dehydrated going to bed that night… woke up the next day with the worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever had… the usual symptoms but also a high fever and body aches. It’s now 10÷7÷14 and I still haven’t fully recovered. Seriously considering reporting this restaurant to for what happened to me. If I was a child or elderly I would have most likely needed urgent medical attention. Do yourself a favor and NEVEREATHERE.

This place is terrible!!! Ordered a carne asada burrito and asked them to leave out the salsa fresca and to add cheese. What did they do? Nothing! Salsa fresca was in there and no cheese was in there. If they were busy I would understand but I was the only customer there. I should have heeded the Unilocal reviews. BEWARE!!! Avoid this place at all cost.

My roommate went by for 3 california burritos and rolled tacos. I ate the rolled tacos at night, him and my bf ate the calis that night. They got sick. I ate the remainder of the cali the next day, and it turned my belly upside down. It hit me and the bf for a day… but my roomie was on the couch with pedialite for 3 days. Warning: FOODPOISONING!

Small place located on El Cajon Blvd. Its small inside with 3 or 4 tables. They have the usual selection of items. I tried the rolled tacos. They were ok, nothing spectacular. Service was friendly and service prompt.

This place always serves up the best«drunk» food after leaving Jolt N’ Joes on friday nights. The carne asada fries and the rolled tacos are amazing to help begin curing a hang over ;)

I’ve eaten there only 4 or 5 times, whenever I have a craving for a carne asada burrito. Good sized burrito and tasty, but their red and green sauce isn’t that great. I prefer cotixan’s burrito, but this will do. They also have a surcharge for using credit cards, but it’s a small business and understandable.

Great, tasty-but-greasy Mexican food, available 24⁄7. One night — I was waiting in the drive-thru when I saw the back door open inside the kitchen. A man was mixing marinated, raw meat atop a kitchen table using both his bare hands, flies all abuzz… when suddenly — a HUGE German cockroach crawled up the wall. Swiftly, the man used one Huarached foot, to Kung Fu squash the critter flat, all without taking his hands off the task. He simply smiled at us and cheerfully replied, «I stop that Cucaracha from going inside your Carne Asada!» Well all gave him an approving thumbs-up, as we anxiously awaited our«midnight snacks…»

Overpriced«Mexican» grease ball with some beans in a tortilla. The food was cold, soggy, and looked like someone shit on a plate. Everyone was rude, didn’t give me more than 2 salsas. My order was COMPLETELY wrong. i got things that I didn’t even order! My food, which was a California burrito and carne asada fries, took 32 minutes! AVOIDATALLCOSTS.

Gross! It amazes me that this place calls itself Mexican food. Being so close to the border, you would expect better quality. STAYAWAY! Also, they charge 80 cents to use«ANY» credit card or debit card. 80 cents is the biggest fee I have ever seen… it is also against«ALL» credit card policies to charge a fee onto a credit card!

I wouldn’t go here unless I’m too crunk to drive somewhere. The carne has good flavor they marinade it! It’s a little pricey…9 bucks for carne asada fries with beans. They charge 80c for card but it’s better then cash only. Place is open late and they have a order window and tables outside. Which is great if you’re drunken walking there for foooood.

Just another taco shop with a Mexican name, nothing too fancy or special. $ 5 carnitas burrito is my food of choice here. Greasy chunks of carnitas topped with guacamole & salsa fresca, it’s a good 2 meals for someone like me, although I bet it could be one meal if eaten while drunk at 3am.

So I’ve gone here almost every time I’ve wanted mexican food in a hurry that isn’t somewhat healthy. Ever time I go here I have to get the Super Nachos… they are amazing… the chips never go soggy and have cheese, carne asada, guac, sour cream, and rice on top of them… oh yummy. I also suggest the not so advertised papas taco(potato), my step dad use to make these all the time and I highly suggest you try one… they’re only $ 1. Go there and try my suggestions… thank me later: D *Thumbs up!
