I had the salmon and it was to die for! Perfectly cooked over a bed of lemongrass with sautéed soft cut tomatoes! It was well worth it!

Hot wings and sliders were excellent. The outdoor fire pit was great too. Service was above average.

Good for a hotel restaurant for sure. The indoor, outdoor seating is quite nice, and the bar has a good selection of beers. The dinner menu seemed limited, but the fish tacos were really good. No real good gluten free vegetarian options for my wife though.

Been here several times since it’s right next to my office. All the food I have tried is good, and solid beers on tap. Happy hour from 4:30 — 6:30 gets you $ 2 off drinks. Beers are normally $ 8+ so you need the happy hour to bring you down to what you’d be paying anywhere else at full price. Me and a coworker came down at 4:25 once without thinking and ordered drinks. Waiter didn’t want to tell us to wait for 5 minutes or just give us HH anyways, instead charging is full price. They have a great lounge style seating area outside with a huge fire pit and tv’s to watch sports. Service can be incredibly slow at times. Came here for lunch during March Madness to watch the 2nd half of a game, and let’s just say we got to watch two 2nd halfs.

Happy hours are everyday from 4:30 — 6:30 but they are really not happy hours. Don’t believe what the bartender says, they lie to you but when you get the bill you will be charged for the full price and you will also be charged with a stuff that u never ordered. It’s a shame for marriott hotel to have a staff like those one’s working there. The manager does not have a clue about customer service. He accused us for lying before he hear anything, and when trying to explain myself he walks away. Very disrespectful. Shame on you, shame on you. Will never go to that Marriott hotel not even for a damn drink.

Overwhelmingly mediocre! A mediocre burger and mediocre glass of wine cost me $ 30 not to mention the tip for the mediocre service.

Went down from my room to grab a quick bite for dinner tonight, and almost immediately wished I had spent the extra time to drive somewhere. The service was slow, which I could understand if it was busy, but there were several employees standing around watching football on the TVs in the bar. One of whom appeared to be a manager who was leaning against the end of the bar, playing on his cell phone. It would have been nice if he bothered to look up for a minute and realized that our drinks needed to be refilled, or that we finished our salads, still had our menus, and were waiting to order our entrees. The food was meh. My boyfriend and I ordered a chicken quesadilla and turkey burger. The quesadilla was super weird… it was in small, soft-shell flour tortillas, folded in half like a taco. We asked if it was in fact the quesadilla, or if we had been given the chicken tacos by mistake, and the waitress, said yes. It came with a half a avocado, which was browning, and bland black beans. We passed on both. The turkey burger would have been okay if the other half of the brown avocado wasn’t slathered on the bun with an excess of the garlic aioli. I often stay at Marriott properties when I travel, and I have dined in many of the hotel restaurants… this experience definitely did not live up to the standards of any of them.

Such a lovely lounge at the low level of the Marriot Hotel! I went last night to pick up a friend that was a way too long conversation with a colleague and needed some respite. It took me a while to find parking on the street(parking is $ 4/hour and I asked if they validate and looks like only for salsa dancers. Oh well. That is the only reason I give 3 stars, and also because we only had drinks and no food, so cannot comment on that yet. The menu looks very good, though, and I wonder about the name ‘amuse’, somehow it reminds me the ‘amuse-bouche’(appetizer in French). Don’t know if they were thinking about this fun French expression, but I am sure it perfectly matches with what you get there at this perfect hidden oasis. Prices look normal, so I will be back for the food.

We had a lovely stop after a long drive! This is a pleasant oasis not too far from the beach fireside; fabulous food!

Finally got the chance to stop in and give this place a try, especially since we live at Regents La Jolla right across the street. The bustling crowd and fire pit are what lured us in, but the chocolate martini(~$ 12) and seasonal pumpkin spice martini will keep me coming back. I definitely want to try the food next time. Prices are decent for the food offered and from what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked pretty impressive. They’ve got anything from homemade potato chips with blue cheese crumbles to flatbreads and angus burgers(starting at $ 13) to entrees like pappardelle pasta and pan seared scallops($ 30). We apparently stopped in on a night where there were a bunch of ESPN folks staying for MNF. Jon Gruden also made a special appearance. Service was good. Crowd is majority hotel patrons as you might expect and very pleasant — there was no touristy vibe. Lovely place to come by for a drink or two or to watch the game. Amuse is a great option if you don’t want to stray too far away from home for a bite and some drinks. We will absolutely be back!

we are going there tomorrow night and wanted to make a reservation and could not get a live person to make an arrangement. They do not have a menu on line to review! I normally don’t waste my time writing stuff, but we are going to follow thru with this ordeal and see what happen since they are the new kids on the block!

This restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Marriott La Jolla(in the UTC area.) Went here for lunch and we all enjoyed it! There is seating outdoors in a courtyard area, or indoors at tall«bistro» tables that were quite comfortable, and serenely situated in front of a beautiful bar. The menu is eclectic and pleasing: burgers, salads, sandwiches — but also«create your own» salads and omelettes, plus heartier entrees. The fish tacos, served with your choice of grilled or fried dorado, were flat out delicious. The steak frites provides a too-small portion of steak, even for lunch, for the $ 22 price. But it was well-prepared and flavorful. Bread is served fresh and warm. Service was pleasing, friendly and attentive. The overall atmosphere is casual for sure, but the setting is upscale and contemporary. I’m thinking this place could be a pretty darn good find for happy hour.
