I read on the Cook Country Forest Preserve website that they had night sledding at this location. The lights were there, but they were not turned on and it was a Saturday night. That didn’t stop us or the 40 other people at the hill. The hill isn’t huge, but it isn’t small either. It is perfect for smaller kids because they can get a little speed and their ride lasts longer than most of the hills by my house. Teenagers may quickly get board as the excitement level is a little low after going down the hill a couple of times. Don’t expect to experience a lot of nature when sledding this hill either. The hill is on the outskirts of the forest preserve. From the top of the hill there are lovely views of the train tracks, buisiness park, and the Cermak Rd bridge. The hill is accessed from a frontage road just east of the normal entrance to the forest preserve.
