Green It Up! Gift Stop

I absolutely love this place. When my co-​worker and I decide to pick up lunch from somewhere in downtown LaGrange, it is common for us to pop in here and pick up some ice chips or another hard to find item. Their selection is amazing. For instance, at Christmas my boss wanted to buy her daughter a boogie board. Sears cancelled the order. We searched Boogie Board’s website and the only nearby location that had it in stock was this tiny gift shop in LaGrange. Boss got her refund, we popped on over at lunch and finished her Christmas shopping for her youngest daughter, and saved my boss’s holiday!
They are always incredibly helpful with incredible finds. Plus, you are supporting small local business. How can you go wrong here?
Tip: If it is lunch time, walk behind the store to find The HotDog Company. You can exit through the backdoor of the shop to find one of the hardest to find hot dog joints in LaGrange!

This is a super fun store with all kinds of green things for sale. I have been here twice and twice found terrific gifts.
There are unique items here about which you don’t have to feel at all guilty purchasing. No animals suffered, no one will be harmed by them and the whole store is dedicated to selling items which don’t trash the earth.
Plus the stuff is really cool!
It’s a bit pricey but totally worth it.

+Prices are reasonable (none of these pretentious prices you’d see at boutique or high fallutin’ stores that have expensive yet poorly-​made products from China)
+Friendly employee. We passed by the store after dinner at downtown LaGrange. The employee who helped us was the husband of the owner. He was super nice and explained to us where their products come from (local farmers, local organic soap makers, etc.) and how each product is eco-​friendly.

PARENTS: They have eco-​friendly and ethnically-​diverse toys for your kids! It was finally great to see a store with toys and books geared for kids with Asian, African American, and Hispanic ancestry.
Visit the store ASAP. You and your kids will like it a lot!

This place is adorable.
I was exploring downtown LaGrange with my boyfriend and this little gem caught my eye. I had to go in. The Window display is too eye catching to pass up.
There’s a plethora of goodies to explore. Eco friendly clothes, toys, trinkets, candles, and personal care items. The reason I gave this store 4 stars instead of 5 is because I really feel they could expand their personal care items. If they had more, I could see myself making an extra trip out to LaGrange to stock up. I am really trying to be more aware of the chemicals that corporations put in lotions, soaps, air fresheners, and hair products. It’s bad enough that half the food we consume will ultimately end up being our demise, but then adding in all the crap our skin absorbs… sheesh.
Anyway, this store has extreme potential. Prices were decent and staff was really helpful. Will definitely return at some point.

Ecomaniacs is awesome and the whole staff is great. They are so knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoy just stopping in to say hi. They have amazing products that are 100% certified green and friendly to our wonderful planet. Very innovating stuff that I had no clue could be made of from a variety of different products!

Like the concept of eco friendly toys but more so I love the classes they offer! I hope to go to a crafty Thursday!
Bought some recycled plastic cookware for my toddler to pretend cook with me. The set included a cooking pot, pan & spatulas.

What a great little store in the heart if downtown Lagrange! Located right next to Q BBQ and Coldstone, this store features some great green and Eco-​friendly products for the whole family. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Check out their shirts. They’re über soft and I want one in every style. :)

I bought some play putty for my nephews and kids… it was a big hit. I’ve scored a few really cute Tshirts for myself and my kids in there as well. That was our one stop for father’s day. Found a cool Sprout watch that he loves.
I love their message and mission. They’re really good business citizens in our town and great folks in general.
