So you know that song by Fear called«I Love Livin In the City»? The lyrics go something like«I love living in the city, where junk is king and the air smells sh##ty»… Now imagine practicing yoga in a place that has a city feel in the middle of the suburbs. That’s Core Power LaGrange in a nutshell. No drugs, dirt, or stank :) This is such a cool studio. Its located on the 2nd floor of the building at the corner of Lagrange Rd and Burlington Ave, right next to the Metra. Parking is available for students only behind the building off Burlington. There are two rooms– one for really hot stuff, and the other for warm yoga. Each room has a cool view out onto downtown LaGrange. The rooms are really large and never feel crowded. Teachers are the same as all other locations, so the yoga itself is always uniform(and fun). The guys locker room is good sized– at least I never feel like I’m tripping over people, and they are nicely stocked with grooming stuff. Overall another awesome CorePower location. Definitely one of the more unique ones, and the location is perfect.

I joined CorePower last year at the Hinsdale studio. When I found out they were opening a new location in downtown Lagrange, I was super excited because it’s much closer to my house. The new studio is wonderful! It is a much smaller location than Hinsdale so they don’t offer the Ryder class. The class times aren’t as frequent as the Hinsdale location either, but it still works. This location doesn’t offer candelight yoga or family yoga. It hasn’t even been opened for a month, so I’m sure they are still working out the kinks, but I LOVE it! It’s also great that classes are never packed so you have space for your practic. :) The instructors are friendly and I appreciate the emphasis on keeping the studios a quiet area. The manager, who I believe is Diana, is so helpful and informative! Jessica also helped with some financial confusions and she has been a pleasure to work with. All of the instructors are fun and so great at what they do! There are about 5 designated parking spots in the back of the studio, otherwise there is usually plenty of parking on the street or in the back lot. If you haven’t tried yoga yet, this is the best place to start!
