Well, she sat me at the bar because there were no tables available. When I went over to the bar where she said she out my menu there was someone in my seat. So I had to go back get the waitress and then there wasn’t anyone in my seat. Weird. They took my drink order. Panaple juice was from a carton with the other liquors. This must be a bar at night? Some gal took my order which was quiche and hash browns. Shouldn’t be hard, right. Just cut the piece and add the hash browns. Wait time 20 minutes for breakfast. Probably because they were busy. Update: still haven’t received meal 33 minutes. I will say that the quiche was different, yet good. I’ll up it to 3.5 stars.

We never even got a chance to eat. We got there right before the rush and were put at the top of a waiting list(4 adults and 2 kids). After several groups were seated that clearly arrived after we did I checked back with the hostess and noticed that our name was crossed off as if we had already been seated. By that time every available booth and table was freshly sat and we had to wait. The hostess offered a weak«I’m sorry» and never really engaged our group. Had she offered a real apology and to get us a coffee while we waited(or offered any sort of kindness) we would have been happier. We left and I ended up eating McDonald’s breakfast on our 4 hr. drive back home.

The food is 5 stars but the speed is a 3. Oh, and free coffee. Great vibe and atmosphere.

Aweful. Don’t go here. If it’s too late to get breakfast anywhere, make it yourself. Honestly, didn’t think you could mess up breakfast, but I was proven wrong. Got biscuits and gravy, the sausage looked raw, everything was cold. Tasted bad too. It didn’t even taste like biscuits and gravy; it was sour. Nah fam. Nah.

Always a treat coming here. Staff is very friendly, the 80s genre meals and theme are incredibly fun. Plus the music is rocking to where you’re gonna sing along to and possibly dance.

Bacon salsa was awesome. Waffles a bit soggy. Breakfast tacos are definitely worth it. 80s theme pretty accurate

Ok. Reading all the reviews I don’t really have to say much about slowness but holy crap. I had some issues and had to go the urgent care at the Mayo today, in and out in about 45 mins. Everything was ok. We decided to go to lunch/breakfast we were seated right away. 10:30am. We ordered pretty quick. then we waited… and waited… and waited some more. we finally got our food 11:45. Food was cold, The wait staff never came with coffee silverware nothing. The food was mediocre. You know its bad when a visit to the urgent went quicker the the restaurant. Next time you in the neighborhood be sure to skip this place.

I’m not sure why all the bad reviews this place wasn’t horrible at all we are seated right away granted we came in a little later in the breakfast hours got standard eggs bacon toast hashbrowns breakfast came out within 25 minutes and it was decent quality. The breakfast reasonably priced and we will be back.

The décor and the theme is really fun. The menu is disappointing. Vegetarians are going to be really left out. I went there with friends and the Farmer Ted was«OK». Another person ordered a waffle and bacon off the sides menu and the waitress looked at her like she was crazy. The wrap was so full of sauce that it was falling apart and just wet. The tater tots were good. One of our party said that some things looked allright, but they had American cheese or cheese sauce which is always gross.

I was very impressed by how hard the management team worked to make sure that we were satisfied. I love small businesses that want to become a part of their community.

We came in on a Saturday night and were promptly seated(there were only 5 people in place including us). The serve was quick. The menu was a little lacking on variety, but what we ordered was good. It didn’t knock my socks off but it was ok. They play John Hughes movies so that does make pretty much everything better in my book.

Dear Mr. Vernon, We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice 10 minutes of waiting to get our table. It was a beautiful day last Sunday, so we waited outside. But, we think you’re crazy if you think you’re going to make us write a review focused around how long we had to wait. You see, we’ll wait as long as we want to wait, if the food is good, it will be worth the wait. We see this place as we want to see it. Great breakfast both times, slightly longer waits because it’s busy, food came a little slower the first time, faster the second time. Sincerely yours, TD P. S. This place has great food. I’m shocked at the lower than average stars, I really am. I do think they need to speed things up a bit, but I like the place for it’s food and location. I had eggs benny both times, with the understanding that there’s no place in town that makes it with any success. What a surprise, it was awesome. My wife and kids have liked their chicken fried steak, omelettes and breakfast skillets both times. Anyway, we’ll be back!

Horrible, slow service. By the time your breakfast arrives, you’re ready for lunch. By the time your lunch arrives, you’re ready for dinner. Seriously, almost an hour wait to get your food, after you’ve waited a half hour to get your table. All for some pancakes or French toast? What a joke. We won’t be back.

Good food. Good prices for a breakfast place downtown. Better than your Perkins in Onalaska. Service needs to be worked on. It’s either a hit or miss with your server. The wait times on food arrival is not bad for the business first starting, but that’s the biggest downfall. Need to possibly hire better managers. Otherwise great atmosphere, large space and bar, and boss looks… Like he’s trying enough.

Unlike other reviewers, we were seated with no notice of wait time. Unfortunately, it still took over 45 minutes to receive our food. I ordered an omelette as a semi-healthy option and it came slathered in a bright colored cheese sauce. It tasted like nacho-cheese. The eggs tasted like they came from a carton. The bread was tasteless. The home fries needed seasoning. The service was good enough; we liked our waitress. However, she had too many tables to work and was never free to stop by our table. The décor was fun and they were playing Pretty in Pink, but their atmosphere embodies fast food and it was some of the slowest service I’ve ever experienced. Hire a new cook and more waitresses.

If you have things to get accomplished or are crunched on time, DONOT go here for breakfast. I went with a group of 3 others, we got our drinks right away, and after chatting for a while, we realized we had been sitting there for 50 minutes after our order was placed. The chocolate milk was not great quality either — just chocolate syrup and milk. The waitress came back a couple of times apologizing about the wait and also nonchalantly mentioned that there were still two tickets in front of ours and after one hour of waiting already, we just decided to cancel and take our business elsewhere. Seemed like every meal was being made one by one and for a Saturday morning, the place was not swamped. Don’t waste your time. I am usually very patient with restaurants, especially new ones, but breakfast food is not exactly hard to prepare. There was no level of professionalism there at all, either. We saw many people up and leave because of the wait and arriving families were told that the wait was«over an hour long» when there were empty tables right in front of them. Stick to The Greengrass Café or even the Family Restaurant for much better and speedier service.

I’ve now been to this restaurant twice. I really wanted to like it because I’m a breakfast guy and a joint that’s dedicated to breakfast is almost always a good thing! However, I can’t recommend it presently because they simply don’t have their act together. The first time I went, on a Friday morning, the food arrived after a very long wait even though there were only a few tables occupied. The second time, on a Sunday morning, it was busy but we did not receive our food until 95 minutes after we ordered. Yeah, over an hour and a half for eggs! At the 60 minute mark I ordered a Bloody Mary to pass the time and it didn’t come until after we were finished with breakfast. They have a lot of logistical issues to work out, which is surprising considering the owners supposedly have experience in the restaurant/bar industry. That said, the food was decent but not spectacular, and while I think the theme — 80s/90s movies — is I interesting, it’s not interesting anymore on the second visit. The interior décor is rough and cheap, I wish a bit more attention would have been paid to ambiance. But budgets are budgets, I get it. Summarizing, I really hope they get their act together because I want to like it!

My friends and I were pretty disappointed with this place. The menu, the food, and the service was unfortunately a let down. The restaurant advertises that it’s all day breakfast but the menu actually changes a lot after 4(really the only«breakfast» food they served was breakfast-tots and a breakfast burrito). I ordered the mac and cheese tots but it was a huge let down, it didn’t taste much different than the frozen mac and cheese you’d get from the grocery store. We did enjoy the premium Bloody Mary they offered(it was served with bacon bits, a waffle, an egg, sausage, and a pickle). The service was only okay as well, a number of the people working made it very obvious that they did not want to be there. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place(granted we weren’t there for their full menu), but if you’re looking for a place where you can actually get all day breakfast I’d say go to Greengrass Café.

Service: Was told upon arrival that it would take 45 minutes for our food. We asked if we could be seated by the window, observed waitress looking unsure and then she told us no. We asked for a booth if possible; there was one open booth left. Waitress went to go check and quickly cleaned the both for us. At the end, waitress got our bill mixed up and added one more meal to our bill. She realized this and did notified us. We did see this and was going to ask. Also, we observed several groups of customers who came in and left as they realized how long of a wait it was for service. Food: Can’t complain, the food overall was good. Only disappointments were, shrimp benedict meal has baby shrimps. We were not expecting baby shrimps. See photos posted. And lastly, for a restaurant to put their ketchup in plastic containers, it just seemed a little cheaped. There was 4 of us and we receive 3.

.nice to see another breakfast spot besides fayzees. and I’m sure this place will do just fine as long as they are consistent with the quality of food… a few recommendations I’d say is try n source local ingredients and let people know that you are indeed doin .eggs.and keep menu fresh do a special for a couple weeks are a monthly special… oh and do a turkey bacon. maybe a jalapeño turkey bacon, not everyone eats pork. and u can always stay popular having and few bacon choices i.e.a hickory smoked bacon. anyways I ordered spinach floretine Benedict and it was definitely good. hope all goes well with this new spot.
