Run by a very nice guy who has a good selection of boats. If you’re going to paddle the slough, rule #1: check the tides and stay close to the bank. It was a moderately fast current and by the end I was really worked out! Just call ahead for conditions. He told us about a little pool to pull into with with a small sand beach to enjoy our lunch. Couple this with some shopping in La Conner for a perfect day.

My wife and I had a lovely time with Bob and his small kayak rental business. Bob knows the area well and is very, very nice and accommodating. When we arrived at the previous afternoon looking to do an evening kayak trip we read the sign wrong and thought the trip was an hour and a half when it turned out to be 3 ½ hours! We weren’t prepared for that, and Bob was nice enough to schedule us for an early morning trip the next day. Highly recommended!

Good boats and service from a friendly and accommodating mon-and-pop business. We dealt with Bob at the on-dock shack. La Conner dock location offers parking and immediate access to water. Post-paddle eateries only a short walk away. The town is a low-keyed gem of nice accommodations, good food and a rural feel. Not as built up or crowded as also nice Anacortes.
