Alana did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and was absolutely amazing!!! I would definitely recommend her to anyone!
She helped me figure out how to best prep my hair for my head leis/​flower crown, which I couldn’t pick up until later. She also did a great job of building up with my makeup. We started with a minimal amount of eye shadow and blush and then darkened it as I felt comfortable. Seriously, she is amazing! I’ve also never had someone do such a great job with applying fake lashes; I could barely feel them.
Alana made me feel right at home. We laughed, talked and she helped calm any nerves I was having.
Alana made sure I was 100% happy with my hair and makeup before leaving. And, my now husband — who is such a tough critic on makeup — couldn’t stop telling me how great it looked.

I had an excellent experience having my hair and makeup done by Alana for my wedding day. I called few days earlier and it was very easy to schedule an appointment. I asked for a natural looking makeup and a nice up do with flowers for my hair (I do recommend the florist downstairs, Blue Orchid, very convenient to pick up the bouquet after my hair were done and to get last minute same color bouquet flowers for my hair). Alana worked quickly and in two hours she did a wonderful job. I have a very elegant and natural-​looking makeup. She was also great in fixing my mid-​length wavy hair in a sophisticated up-​do that hold up for the rest of the afternoon and evening considering that our ceremony took place on a very windy beach. I really enjoyed meeting and working with Alana, and I do strongly recommend her professionalism and ability both in makeup and hair.

I can’t possibly say enough wonderful things about the job Amy did on my hair… it was beautiful! I got so many compliments on the beautiful flowers she put in my side swept hair. It was the perfect look for a beach wedding. My hair stayed in place through the whole evening, even with the wind. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I had a wonderful experience with Amy at Waiohai Salon. My hairdresser had a family emergency the day before my wedding. Amy found a time that would work less than 24 hours before the big day. My hair was perfect! It held during our windy beach wedding in the morning and well into the evening. The salon was easy to find and priced right! I would definitely reccommend this salon!

I had a great experience with this salon for my wedding on the south side of Kauai. The owner, Amy, fit me without a lot of notice and was very flexible. She did a great job on my hair– putting in a very large orchid and making sure it was able to stay in place for our very windy beach wedding! I would recommend this salon to anyone!
