Koloa Town Salon

I have been to see Maya for a pedicure for the last two years. She is fun, friendly and professional. I will go back again next year. Much more ‘Hawaii’ then the Hyatt.

My wife made reservations yesterday for BOTH of us. she told me I had to «Man up» and get my first pedicure.. while she was at it she booked me for a one hour massage too.
All I can say is the massage from Kayla was truly a wonderful experience.. Probably the best massage I’ve had.
My pedicure from Sarah was pretty cool. not what I expected and my feet look great. lol
My wife just loved loved loved her spa treatments. .well be coming back for sure.

Walked around the little town asking the ladies working where to get my hair done for a wedding. They all said Koloa Town Salon. Kelsey was very nice, a perfectionist and even gave some good pointers for places to eat, etc. she did a nice job putting my hair up and I would highly recommend her.

Paid over $ 100 for a pedi mani that didn’t even include gel or shellac. Was seriously the least enjoyable «spa» experience I’ve had. I couldn’t even get the woman to say anything more than one word answers back to me the entire time. Was never offered a magazine or anything while I had my feet in water. There was literally nothing else I could do except sit there and stare at her doing my feet. All the while, completely unable to get her to have a conversation with me at the very least. I didn’t even see even one smile on her face while I was there. Not sure if she was just having a bad day, didn’t want to be there, or just doesn’t like tourists. Either way, I passed up the $ 90 spa pedi at the Hyatt thinking I could still get a nice relaxing experience here, but it was a complete waste of money and time. Wish I would have spent a little extra for a better experience. Would highly not recommend.

My hair was fried from swimming and sun while visiting Kauai this week. Called salon and was able to get in this morning with Kelsey K. She was great. Gave me a deep conditioning treatment. And it looks so much better. Offer several suggestions for my hair and was just fun to talk with. Darling shop also

Such a find! Lovely people, very professional services. Perfect mani/​pedi by Mia and perfect haircut by Kelsey. These people know their stuff and are so welcoming!

I had the BEST MASSEUSE (Taradan Lewis). She knew exactly what my trouble spots were and used a good amount if pressure. I will see her every time I’m in Koloa:)

Place is cute and well appointed. I had an 11:30 appointment with Maya? for a haircut.
Arrive at 11:25 no one there to greet me and two other people waiting. She arrives at exactly 11:30 and tells me she did not know she had an 11:00 appointment — do I mind waiting. Yes I do. I need a hairdresser with some organizational skills.

A hidden gem in Old Koloa Town. I had my first massage ever, and Taradeen (not sure how to spell it) was fantastic. My mom also had a massage and was thoroughly relaxed by the combination of techniques Taradeen used. I plan on returning during my next visit to Kauai!

I just got my hair cut at Koloa Town Salon, and it’s one of the better hair cuts I’ve ever received… Ever. My hair looks and smells great, and I asked for a low maintenance shaggy cut, so it is totally ready for the ocean wind. This 45 minutes or so was a perfect pick-​me-​up while vacation. If you’re looking for a haircut on Kauai, I highly recommend it.

First thing of note is that Google Maps is a liar. This place is located near the Koloa Rd and Poipu Rd junction, across from the Chevron. It’s a cute little house with very limited parking.
I walked in at the same time as Taradan, my massage therapist. She was very welcoming. I received a wonderful 90 minute massage focusing on my lower back, glutes, and legs. She used a combination of a lavender lotion and citrus oil.
Very happy to not have spent double the money at the Grand Hyatt. Yes the more expensive service would have been in my own private hale but if you’re face down and half asleep during the massage, you’re not really paying attention to the surroundings.

Went for a manicure based on Unilocal recommendations. Maya did a wonderful job. Great manicure and lovely shop. A little advice don’t use the directions that google maps gives you. Little shop in Koloa Town, not down the Koloa Hwy!

Got a wax done! Finally! And Maya was awesome! Did it hurt? Yeah! It’s waxing, it hurts, but this was much more tolerable than some I have endured! Cute homey feeling place! Yes, I will be back. Next month!!! If you are looking for a good wax, come here!

The people were very nice there, but the henna tattoo was a waste of $ 35. It looked beautiful when we left the salon, but it was completely gone by the end of the day! You couldn’t see it at all! I am sure the other services at this salon are great, but I wouldn’t ever get a henna tattoo again based on this experience.

This is my second visit to Kauai and my second massage on the island. I get massages pretty regularly and have for years and I can absolutely say this was the BEST massage I have ever had. Ask for Audra, she’s wonderful. This is a no frills place and don’t expect a complete «spa experience» but if you truly want a wonderful massage, this is the place. I will be back every time I come to Kauai!

Great service, fabulous staff, quality work! Would highly recommend checking this place out for all their services! We did the Spa Mani/Pedi’s which were great! Pricing was reflective of the quality and good service. While cheaper than most of the expensive resorts, it is by no means a «deal». We considered the pricing fair for our mani/​pedi spa treatments.

I found this cute little spa while staying at the Hyatt on my honeymoon. I was looking to get away from the resort and find something a little less expensive, and this was THE place. The staff was super friendly and the building itself was adorable. The nail tech (not sure if that’s proper terminology) was a local so I got to pick her brain about the island while getting my nails done, a great expierence. If/​When we go back I will be certain to stop in again!

Ive been wanting to get a hot stone massage while in Kauai and Koloa Town salon was the perfect place! The price for a 90 minute massage was only $ 165! I also got the new OPI gel manicure in passion that sets in less than 30 seconds per coat (only took 4 coats) which was nice and quick compared to Gellish and Shellac.
Teraden (I hope I didn’t botch her name) was absolutely skilled and fantastically funny! I tend to like to talk during my massages and she was so funny and gave me great tips to eat at around Koloa. The massage was flawless, the whole experience was from head to toe!
Maya who did my OPI gel nails did an awesome job, keeping them short like I like them and shaped them perfectly.

My mother and I were looking for a place nearby for a massage and a facial. Staying at Kiahuna Plantation, we were hoping for something close by. Fortunately we saw this quaint little salon roadside in Koloa. They only have one room for massage/​facial services (separate areas for nails and hair), but it’s very well decorated and relaxing. The massage therapist was very nice and did a great job working all the tension out of my back, and my mother’s beautician was friendly and also very good. Definitely coming back whenever I’m on the island!
