Murray J Michael MD Kauai Medical Clinic

I came down with a cold during a vacation to Kauai. I had a very positive experience with Dr. Murray. He was very personable and provided me with personalized, excellent medical care. The (unrelated) pharmacy across the street in Koloa was equally as helpful. I was feeling better in short order and able to get back to enjoying my vacation.

Receptionist seemed a little racist when we walked in. Asked if she needed to see ins card and if they were able to take a walk in. She sighed very loud and said we can try to get you. She then saw our local insurance card and said «do you actually live here?» granted Caucasian folks are a minority in hawaii, we can still be living here.
Dr was excellent though.

My daughter came up with a sudden ear infection right before her first surf contest. There was no way I could get her into her regular pediatrician’s and I needed her seen ASAP without me having to drive into town and wait in urgent care. Called Dr. Murray’s and he got us in that same afternoon! I had to wait because we were walk-​ins but that’s better than driving 10 miles to wait in town and dealing with traffic, etc. Dr. Murray was quick and efficient and got all three of the prescriptions we needed to South Shore Pharmacy (across the street) immediately so that I barely waited for them when we left to pick them up. Best of all, he said my daughter could surf in the contest! When we came back a few days later to have the ear irrigated after all the swelling went down, we were in and out and the whole thing was painless. He does discounts for cash pay so tourists take note!
