I ordered the Singapore noodles, spring rolls, and tom kha Kai soup and all were terrible. The soup tasted like perfume and the Singapore noodles tasted like soy sauce mixed with chemicals. I never write reviews, but I just threw $ 25 in the trash by ordering from this place.

My experiences with WokChow are largely through delivery to my office around lunchtime, so that’s what this review is about. I don’t know anything about what it looks, smells, or feels like in the actual restaurant. They have an online ordering system which is easy to use. It should be noted that even though they are on other sites like Valet Gourmet or Grub Hub, you can order instead directly from WokChow’s website for a much, much smaller delivery fee than those third party sites. I like ordering from here because the food always seems fresh. With the«Create a Wok» options, you can create a pretty healthy lunch with a ton of vegetable, protein & grain options. A good portion of their sauces and dishes can be made with gluten free ingredients as well. I love the red curry sauce! The lunch bowls are always fresh, the veggies cooked just right, and the perfect amount of sauce. My co-workers really enjoy their honey chicken and hot & sour soup. I’ve had drunken noodles and pad thai but didn’t really enjoy either. To be fair, maybe those things don’t travel well. I think it’s a good option for lunch delivery if you want something healthy(or not), fresh and with what I consider to be a fair delivery fee.

Ordered online for delivery of the Tofu pad thai and spicy chow. The pad thai had extremely tiny pieces of fried tofu and the noodles were hard. The sauce for the spicy chow was so watery and both were extremely oily.

WokChow is a nice, casual Asian fusion spot, similar to a PeiWei. They offer a wide variety of entrees, served on rice or noodles. You can even create your own bowl and customize it with your choice of protein and vegetables. I opted for the Pad Thai which was good, although the sauce was a little more watery than most Pad Thai dishes I’ve had in the past. The portion was large and I was able to walk away with some leftovers for lunch the next day! They also have a few sushi offerings, if that’s your thing! The restaurant itself was large, clean and decorated in a nice, simple modern style. I would definitely return to WokChow during future trips to Knoxville!

Really enjoyed the freshness of the food here. Pleasant serve staff and excellent Asian food. The format is different with the menu choices that have you«build your own» wok or soup choices. Reasonably priced so we WILL be back.

We ordered online today and had the Kung Pao Chicken and spring rolls. I wanted to update since my last review was a bit more negative. Today’s order was very good. We enjoyed everything we got and it tasted delicious, just as we have always had(except the one time). I highly recommend Wok Chow!

We come here as a family about once a week and on date nights. I enjoy the food every time we dine here. Sadly this visit the consistency was lost. I fell in love with the siracha chicken special and have ordered the last few times we have been in. This trip however It came out with a completely different flavor and mandarin oranges in it. Something that it did not have before. Also tasted more like sweet and sour sauce than siracha. They re-made this dish for me, although the result was the same without the oranges. The dish wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t what I expected. I will still give this place a 5 star review just a 4 star on this visit. You haven’t lost me yet Wok Chow!

Great food with large portions. Great atmosphere with an upscale vibe. If you want truly good Asian cuisine, Wok Chow is the place to go.

Okay, so honestly, Wok Chow has pretty good food. However, I rarely eat here anymore. The menu has changed quite often in the past few years it has been open. Some of my go-to items have been removed, and literally all the prices have been raised… significantly. That said, the spring rolls here are delicious, and I love the«build your own bowl» feature. They have some pretty good menu options. Since the prices have gone up so much though, I’m more likely to go eat at PF Chang’s for nearly the same price.

I get delivery from here a lot. It’s good, but not a lot of consistency. It’s sometimes good and sometimes too salty to eat. Sometimes dry, sometimes with enough sauce. And I always get hot and sour soup and sometimes it tastes like it has been made several days and is salty and thick and scorched. My biggest problem is they email a lot of coupons and you can never use them on delivery, or online ordering and I do that a lot. Once a week. And never an online coupon is available. If Ichibon delivered, I would switch.

Very ho hum food. Went there for the phở; there was a pic of it on Unilocal, but they didn’t have it on the menu. I settled with the Spicy WokChow based on the cute waitress’s recommendation. Very disappointed as it was nothing more than frozen chicken pieces smothered in a ton of sweet sauce with frozen veggies. The broccoli may have been fresh. The rice took up 80% of the plate and the egg roll was ok for being frozen.

This is the first Asian place I’ve been to in Knoxville that I’m actually pretty fired up about(I guess I shouldn’t be surprised; it’s got«fire» right there in the name). Yes, the prices are just a notch higher than those of competitor takeout Chinese restaurants, but upon receiving your food it is immediately evident that your incremental investment is being put to good use. Most importantly, this place’s stock proteins and produce are top notch. My shrimp didn’t have that signature freezer-induced stringiness that seems to be the way of things at most places in Knoxville, and the vegetables were textured, colorful, and exuding freshness. I dare say I could have even eaten healthily had I not opted to serve the whole thing on a bed of fried rice(no regrets, it was awesome). The quality alone would be enough to merit 4 stars, but I also have to give a special shout-out to the concept. I have been to plenty of Mongolian-stirfry-type places in my life, but(1) only rarely have I found them in Tennessee and(2) they usually emit«food-court”-quality dishes. Incorporating an emphasis on freshness at the expense of a dollar or two truly fills a niche in the neighborhood.

One of the best deals in town. Good food, modern atmosphere, friendly staff, great pricing and they have a rewards program. Plus you can actually get a table on a Friday or Saturday night without an hour and a half wait like that chain restaurant down the street with the concrete horses; and the lettuce wraps are every bit as good! Dynamite Shrimp are amazing, crispy and flavorful but not over-sauced. For entrees I recommend Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles. Tom Kha soup is good but only comes in the entrée size and I do sometimes wish I could get just a small cup of it. I will confirm that the egg drop soup is not very good so whoever said it was gelatinous should come in and try something else! I’ve truly enjoyed every meal I’ve had here.

Ugh. I stopped in for a quick bite before going to a comedy show next door. I had potstickers,(warm-ish), and Hot and Sour soup,(gelatinous). Just crap.

Let me start by saying that I have only dined here once and I do plan to give them another shot. That said… my order was kung pao chicken and it was just not very good. I like asian food primarily because I like fresh vegetables and spicy foods, so kung pao chicken generally fits right in my wheelhouse. Unfortunately the chicken seemed to have some sort of breading on it, there was a lack of fresh vegetables, and the overall dish had an over cooked, almost burnt taste. On the plus side, there were plenty of hot peppers and the service I received was good. Considering the other reviews, I think I’ll go with their create your own wok next time and keep it light… with my fingers crossed.

Welcome to the Moe’s of Asian cuisine. Went with a large group of people and almost everybody liked their dishes or thought it was okay. A couple of thoughts: — The phở sucked. I’m sorry but it did — 2.5 stars. Avoid the phở if you have any kind of a dIscriminating palate. — Apparently the Mu Shu is 4 stars as is the Honey Chicken and Chicken with Broc — The Veg Delight and Shrimp Tempura were okay 3 star dishes Overall a 3.5 star place but I gave them a half star bump because it was reasonably priced and had a nice ambiance. Go for lunch or a casual dinner out.

This place just keeps getting better. All of the things from my last review still apply: the food, price, service and atmosphere will wow you. They’ve added some new menu items since then that I absolutely love. Curry panang, Hunan Chicken, and Seafood Delight, have all been added to the constantly growing rotation of amazing items I’ll get here. One thing that I find myself doing more often is ordering the create-a-wok. It’s great because I can get something really healthy by just getting sauteed veggies mixed with sauteed chicken, shrimp, or tofu and a side of whole grain brown rice. Just add my sauce on the side to control the portion, and I’ve got a dish that’s as healthy as anything you can eat The service is exemplary for what I look for in a fast casual restaurant. Also, they do a great job on deliveries and catering. I specifically recommend them if you’re looking for a very affordable and delicious alternative to the typical catering choices of sandwiches or BBQ. Oh oh, they also have a really cool rewards program, and I’m getting free meals all the time! Did i mention I love this place!!!

WokChow has the trifecta of awesomeness for casual dining, as far as I’m concerned: Low price, large quantity, and awesome taste. Sure, it’s not authentic to any degree, but who cares? Their create-a-wok is an awesome value, and caters to both meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. A day later, and I’m still eating my leftovers, along with starting to doubt my own ability to finish them. That’s a character flaw on me, not WokChow. They can do no wrong. Probably. As for the servers, they were quite friendly. I overheard a conversation between a customer and one of the cashiers, in which the customer claimed he didn’t like his soup(I believe he tried Phở, and realized he didn’t like it… which is blasphemy). He was immediately offered a refund, or a change of dishes at no charge without anyone blinking an eye, or going through the ‘let me get the manager’ ordeal. Bottom line: WokChow is a nice stop for lunch or dinner if you’re just looking for something filling and tasty, without spending a lot of cash.

They have check-in specials!!! Win Win Win! The last time I went to WokChow was about a year ago, and I got something good, but the place wasn’t on Unilocal and I wasn’t pro-active to add it. A year later they have a special if I check-in and a new menu item I can’t get enough of. Curry Malai is rice noodles, coconut milk, potatoes, peppers and heaven in a bowl. I ate half and finished the even better tasting other half at lunch the next day. The thing about Asian Fusion restaurants is they often fall into that taste limbo where you like the place, but nothing stands out enough to really care. My friend eats WokChow weekly seems like, but he is a workout buff and food vacuum so I couldn’t trust his judgement. I can honestly say the the food and beer(they have Kririn) is really good. Ohhh and did I mention they deliver!
