tvb is the nearest bikestore to downtown knoxville – whats more they’re kind, generous, briliant with bikes & fast. this week was the second time i needed their help. and they got me out of there in 5 – 10 minutes both times without making me feel like a fool for not knowing how to fix the damn bike myself!

A great bicycle shop in downtown Knoxville, TN. quick turn around times on repairs, and parts ordered. they have awesome surlys, konas that my next income tax check is just waiting to be spent on. they even put in a bicycle repair stand outside of Three rivers market on central. super nice dudes, good selection on accessories, and they have a free sticker basket… everyone loves stickers. they are also attached to the public house bar so that adds like 10 bonus cruse on down buy some great bicycles and bicycle stuff, have a beer and enjoy a great bicycle ride thanks to TVB.

My bike seems a bit temperamental and lately it’s been one thing after another. The latest issue was a broke spoke. I had a CK preview ride coming up and was a little nervous I wouldn’t have my bike back in time. Thankfully the fine folks at TVB took care of ordering the part and had it replaced and she was ready to roll. I ended up having one the best rides I’ve ever had. Thank you guys!

I went here to get some work done on an older mountain bike. I was in the market for a new bike and wanted to check their customer service because once you buy an expensive bike from a shop you should be able to take it back for service, preferably for the life of the bike. I was told a date when my bike would be ready, so I jogged down to pick it up. When I got there the bike tech(they call them«wrenches» in the shops I visited in DC) said it wasn’t ready. They had all been at a bike racing event and hasn’t gotten around to fixing my bike. Apparently they were also too busy to call me. I rely on my bike for transportation, so this was not a casual inconvenience for me. When I went back to get my bike one of the repair guys gave me attitude like he didn’t want to deal with another customer. Needless to say, I got my bike and left. I know it is unfair to let one rude, lackadaisical butthead spoil my opinion of an entire store, but I was close to spending a lot of money here. I am glad I was disappointed before I spent that money instead of after it was too late. Update: I’m raising my review by a star because the owner reached out to me through Unilocal with an offer to try and make things right.

By far some of the BEST costumer service anywhere! These guys went above and beyond to help us(out-of-towners) get a few hours in of riding after having a horrible experience somewhere else. Great rentals also!

I recently purchased a bike from TVB, and can’t recommend them highly enough. I searched around for bikes at four different places and TVB was the best in terms of price and friendliness. I’m not a serious biker, but other spots had either lots of attitude, bikes starting at $ 600 and up, or were trying to get me to buy the same heavy cruiser over and over again despite the fact that I was clear that I wanted to buy a hybrid for commuting and tooling around on. The guys in TVB were extremely kind and attentive and spent a lot of time showing me around their more inexpensive models, explaining all of the details, pros, and cons. Not pretentious at all, and with the purchase of a bike, you get free tune-ups for a year. We waited next door at the amazing bar with a beer while they built my bike and added nice ergo handlebars. Service with a smile! We look forward to doing business with them again.

Friendly and well-priced service. When I moved to Knoxville, I needed my mountain bike assembled from it’s box. I called around to other places in town and TVB had the best price. So I took my pride-and-joy down to TVB. The place has a very grungy feel, but in the way that you know that they are good at bikes(lots of bikes on the floor, bikes hanging from the ceiling, and lots of tools behind the desk). I didn’t ask, but I’m sue they’d give great recommendations on local rides. I’ll be going to TVB for all my bike needs.
