Moe’s Southwest Grill

They staff needs to be cleaner as well as more vegetarian/​vegan friendly. The last few times I ordered here, I noticed bacon bits and other meat products scattered among the vegetables. I also noticed staff members wiping and scratching their nose with the same gloves they use to handle food. And as the previous critic noted, there is only a one-​person restroom available and neither hot water nor a working faucet.
On the plus side, less expensive then certain other restaurants in the neighborhood, I suppose.

Staff is great, food is great. This would be a 5 star review, except for one very important thing. Who in their right mind would design a Mexican restaurant with a one person bathroom? Part of the Mexican experience is leaving the restaurant the same weight as when you entered. However, if the store is not crowded, I would eat/​poop here again.

Just consumed the worst burrito I’ve ever had. Only reason to go to Moe’s is the free chips. Otherwise, just go to Chipotle or Oscar’s.

I had a vegan burrito and they need to be more vegan friendly. The burritos only had rice and black beans. The meat ones had pepper and onion. What’s the deal? Maybe the person ordering decides to make it plain? I assume there should be a basic combination of protein and veggies. On the bright side, the rice and beans were soft.
There was another event where we created our own soft tacos and there were nachos and salsa. I could tell the nachos and salsa were fresh. There was also rice, beans, lettuce, and tofu!!! Their diced, lightly marinated and roasted? Pan fried? Was so good! This could be due to my addiction to tofu or maybe I was overly excited to see a vegan protein.

Most definitely not as good as the Northshore location, but still very, very good and a place to go to be filled up on a few bucks.

I love Moe’s. You can check my check-​in history and see that if a city has one, I’ll find it! I’ve had great experiences at everyone except this one.
The good… the staff was stinkin’ hilarious. They were like a big family of brothers. Beyond that, it just got bad, however.
First, I always get a chicken rice bowl. I know how they are made every where. They placed one ½ spoon of rice in the bowl, barely enough to detect. The beans were hard. The entire dish was cold to luke warm when I got to the table.
The place was empty and filthy. With four employees hanging out, you would think they’d take a broom and wash cloth to the place… but no. I had a hard time finding a clean table, so I just took a dirty one.
The trash was overflowing, again, with the place empty. I’d driven by it an hour earlier and it was still empty. I assume it was a full days unemptied trash.
If you’ve only been to this Moe’s, don’t let it be your impression of the franchise/​chain.
