Completely love this place! It’s Local, Local, Local! Eating here makes you feel closer to the community. I think this is the reason why Yummy is my Knoxville home. Just waking in: you get the décor, the service, the tableware, the menu and the feeling that you are right at home. And it’s distinctively Knoxville. Kim takes such great pride in her restaurant and she does so much in the community. There are signs and thank you notes for her work with charities, the community, and other local businesses. Regulars linger at the counter. Kiddos are always welcome. Pictures and local mementos make it home-y. Sounds cheesey but it’s true. The food? 5 stars. Not much more to say about it. When was the last time you had a proper grilled cheese sandwich? Come here because you ain’t seen nuthin yet! Ham and apple butter is my favorite. Nom nom nom. The deviled bacon is also really good. And they have such good hearty soups here too. I take all my out of town guests here and it’s a hit every time.

This place is outstanding! I had the«Real Slim Shady» which consists of spaghetti and meat sauce, provolone and a Parmesan topping on the bread. Toasted and happy, it brought a smile to me after my first bite. Mrs. had the Caprese which was also delicious! Ready to try several more things on our return trips. I also liked that Tea was included in the price and not extra. Great value.

Husband & I really enjoyed the Deviled Bacon Grilled cheese — really tasty & the addition of deviled egg is outstanding. The tomato basil soup was perfect. We each only ate ½ sandwich as we wanted to try their homemade ice cream. Lots of flavors are offered. My husband tried the peppermint bark, while I had the expresso bean & oh so nutty. They were all good. It’s so fun finding new places to eat that live up to their good teviews

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Seriously. The options are endless for sandwiches and soups and salads. Spendy… but quality is worth the expense. Portion sizes appeared chintzy. In addition they have remarkable cakes! Red Velvet grabbed my eye immediately. They had cookies and bars and candy and OHMYWORD… homemade ice cream! In addition they had treats for the furry four-leggers in your life. Yup! The dogs. Staff are super friendly. They stay behind the counter until your food is ready and then they bring it to your table. The décor is standard hodge podge, garage sale. It’s what you can expect from a café. Nothing to write home about. My primary concern with this location is cleanliness of the tables coveted in plexi glass. Our table, the big round five seater, desperately needed a wipe down with a CLEAN cloth AND windex. A smeary table makes me question cleanliness behind the counter. It’s also unsightly when sitting down to eat. All in all this café is worth stopping in because of the incredible variety.

Go here, if you are in the Cedar Bluff area. I have passed right by this little gem of a restaurant a hundred times. From the street it had appeared to be a yogurt shop. «Shows what I know». They serve a full array of dishes including pizza, creative sandwiches, soups salads and of course they have ice cream. Inside it has a warm inviting feeling, the kind of place my mother would feel comfortable. I ordered the Deviled Bacon Sandwich which was a pleasant twist to a grilled cheese sandwich. I highly recommend this choice. I paired it up with a homemade tomato basil soup, which was great. I will be passing by here more often.

I read about this place on Unilocal and I had to give it a try. The young lady that helped me was courteous and explained the menu with a smile. Automatic 3.5 stars for friendly service. I had the soup and half sandwich and it was plenty. The tortilla soup was excellent. It was creamy and almost tasted cheesy it was so good. The grilled cheese was toasted perfectly. I wish we had this little gem back in my hometown. Highly recommended!!!

The Hilton Head Ice Cream(homemade) is heavenly! Never had any food items from the menu, so I’m not able to write based on that. However, I would definitely recommend for the homemade ice creams alone! Monday’s are half price for one and two scoops! :-D

We were invited to attend a Unilocal event here and were lucky enough to get to sample several of the menu items which include soups, sandwiches, and homemade ice cream. The sandwiches were all made with very creative ingredients, which you wouldn’t think would mesh well, but they absolutely do. One of my favorites from that night was the Apple Butter, Ham and Swiss cheese sandwich. Followed closely by the deviled bacon sandwich. When we went back a couple of days later, I ordered the Hawaiian Sandwich and it was also delicious. The soups were amazing with my favorite being the tomato basil. And while I’m not much of a bean fan, I really enjoyed the tortilla soup as well. All were well seasoned and flavorful. The ice cream was, of course, the best part. I loved the wedding cake and birthday cake flavors. Both tasted just like their respective cakes, only frozen. We will definitely be back and will be bringing our families with us. Thank you for hosting such a wonderful event.

My mother in law and I had lunch here yesterday. We arrived about 12:15. It was extremely busy. We had a slightly longer wait than I would expect, even during lunch hour. The menu choices are amazing! Everything is homemade. I had chicken salad on a croissant which was superb. I also had a waffle cone with 2 scoops of their homemade ice cream. Also amazing. I give 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. First, the wait was longer than expected even for lunch time. Secondly, the price is high, even for homemade. We had a tuna salad on wheat, a chicken salad croissant, a small bag of chips each, a drink each(I had water) and we each had a waffle cone with two scoops of ice cream. The total was $ 31. A bit much for lunch. I will go back but it will be as a treat and not a regular stop.

Accurate name. Excellent food quality. Tried several different and amazing sandwiches at a private party. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 — it would get pretty expensive for my family of 5. We’ll still go back as it will no doubt become a favorite, but unfortunately the price will keep it from being a regular in the rotation.

Seriously, who doesn’t love a great grilled cheese? Let me tell you, this place has a whole menu full of ‘em! The BBQ Mac & Cheese feels like 3 meals rolled into one. Their choice of using a smoky sweet BBQ sauce adds a delicious balance with the mild combination of cheddar and pepper jack. I also enjoyed their Pizza Grilled Cheese. Of course it’s no surprise that the mixture of provolone and Swiss matches perfectly with marinara, but the real star of this sandwich for me is the buttery parmesan bread which had just the right amount of crunch and cheesiness! The prices are very reasonable especially since the sandwiches come with chips or side salad and free tea! If you still have room for ice cream at the end of it all, you won’t be disappointed!

Authentic, eclectic, and local — what’s not to love? The staff was super friendly, and the pizza grilled cheese was terrific. I was also impressed by the fact they make everything in house. Plus, you can get a 10 lb ice cream sundae with 16 — count them, 16 — scoops of ice cream. Why? Cuz ‘Merica, that’s why. Love this place and I’ll be a regular from here on out.

Unbelievable!!! This place is top notch! I had the«Death by Godiva» ice cream and I savored every bite. Soooo good! And the tuna salad is to die for! Great experience and we will be back for the rest of our days in Knoxville!

I finally came here! I ordered the 5 alarm grilled cheese and it was awesome! So I usually don’t order food that I feel like I can make myself but this was not something I could duplicate. Well, I haven’t tried yet. The 5 alarm grilled cheese sandwich is spicy! Not overwhelmingly spicy but it has a really nice kick to it. It’s not at the sweating level of spicy but I was getting there if I had another order. You have an option of either chips or salad; I went with the salad. I’m not sure how many different types of dressings they have but the cashier offered balsamic vinaigrette and I was cool with that. The salad is small, as shown in my picture, and the sandwich was a nice«snack» size. I probably could have fit another sandwich or a scoop of ice cream. The sandwich comes with a drink — you have the option of iced water, sweetened tea or unsweetened tea. The plastic cups will have ice in them, you’ll get this at the cashier, and the logos are random. My friend had a cup related to direct cash! There’s multiple seats and even a kids table! We sat at the kids table which had educational table mats — «Sesame Street» teaching colors in Spanish and Dinosaur facts. So what’s so great about the 5 alarm? It was far from dry, mild heat, and it’s a great portion for normal humans, BUTWAYTOOSALTY. They sprinkled salt and maybe pepper on top? The«kid» sitting across of me ordered a buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich and enjoyed mine more. It was mostly because of the spice level in mine; we are lovers of spicy dishes. Overall, I’ll be back to try the ice cream and another grilled cheese!

Sometimes you are just want something down to earth and fun. That’s what you get at It’s All So Yummy. They have a large selection of grilled cheeses ranging from basic to over-the-top monthly specials that will overwhelm your tastebuds(in a good way!). My favorites are the Deviled Egg and Crunchy Nacho. Unfortunately my workplace has moved me a little too far away, but previously it was on my lunch list almost every week! And for your sweet tooth, they have a large selection of homemade Hiltonhead Ice Cream. Be sure to ask for any ‘small batch’ ice cream that they might have. These are experimental flavors and wonderful to try. Be sure to let them know KnoxFoodie sent you when you’re in, they’re a great group of folks!

Friendly people and adorable atmosphere. Red velvet ice cream was my pick and it was absolute perfection and delicious. Not many places to sit because it is a small place. Need to go back and try out their foods. They also sell jams and other fresh confections.

I have read the other reviews, and it seems to me that the negative reviews are related to customer service. I had a similar experience. My wife & I live nearby and decided we would try this place for dessert one night. My wife ordered ‘chocolate chip’ ice cream. Everywhere in the world when you order ‘chocolate chip’ ice cream, you get chocolate chips in vanilla ice cream. Well, when my wife was handed chocolate chips in chocolate ice cream(aka, ‘chocolate chocolate chip), she politely explained that she wanted the vanilla version. The server(seems to have been the owner) grabbed the cup of ice cream from my wife’s hands, threw it in the trash(with emphasis), and lectured my wife that she should have ordered ‘vanilla chip’. Two things… 1) Understand your product. We asked for chocolate chip… same as what you apparently call vanilla chip. You gave us chocolate chocolate chip. If there are regional differences for what the recipe is called, understand them. or walk through the Kroger and see what the ice cream recipes are called. 2) Be nice!!! I was really pissed at how my wife was treated. I should have said something. Next time I will.

Not to be dramatic, but these grilled cheeses honestly make my day. Make. My. Day. I’ve had a bunch of them — Kim, the owner, chef and all around awesome-sauce diva, is always making them on TV(where I work) — but my all time fave has got to be the deviled egg ‘wich. The combo of spicy from the sweet heat seasoning and the deviled eggs … Ugh, I could literally eat another one right now and I just had that for lunch a few hours ago. The ice cream is also amazing and I highly recommend any and all baked goods or chocolate dipped bacon. Plus they have square, for you apple nerds out there. I think 10 visits gets you a discount? So next time you’re out west(or even if you’re not but are craving the best grilled cheese of your life) stop by It’s All So Yummy and live your life,(wo)man!
