Pros: Very nice room, great bathroom, love a walk-in shower, comfortable bed. Very nice and helpful staff. Cons: the hotel bar closed at 10 on a Friday night?!? There were at least 2 wedding parties but yeah let’s go ahead and close at 10. The air conditioner in my room was so loud. It kept waking me up.

Pretty good hotel, fairly priced, and good customer service. Brian P. was working the front desk when I checked in, he was very polite and helpful. Pet friendly. One negative thing is that hotel needs some remodeling of the carpets and the room doors look a little outdated.

My husband and I stayed here passing through on a trip. What we need are a clean room, comfortable mattress, and a light meal the next morning. This place is the first Holiday Inn I have been in that doesn’t serve at least complimentary coffee to guests in the morning. You have to purchase everything because they have a restaurant. And it is not that good. The bed was only marginal in the comfort category. But the worst is my pillow smelled of tobacco in a non-smoking room. The pillow case did not but the pillow inside it reeked of some stinky smoker. Eeesh! My side of the bed was like that. My husband’s was not, so he shared his extra pillow. Thank heaven.

My husband and fellow colleagues stayed here while away on business, so I brought our two sons up to stay for a few days. We frequent hotels across the southern and eastern United States, many of them being Holiday Inns and the like, and I have never had such an uneasy experience until this one. Every day one or more hotel employees barged into our room, disregarding the«Do not disturb» sign. The only employees who knocked and waited for me to come to the door were the people renovating the hotel – and they were very considerate and respectful, so kudos to that company. Being a mother of two young children – one that is breastfed – I expect privacy when the do not disturb sign is on our hotel door. Perhaps it was a bad week for them, but I would not go back. 2 stars because our room and the parts of the hotel that were not under renovation were nice.

My hubby and I stayed here for 2 nights while in Knoxville earlier this month. It’s in a good location(very easy access to major freeways) and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms have a nice layout and the bathrooms are modern & have a lot of amenities. The downsides: first, they allow smoking in this hotel so you specifically have to request a nonsmoking room. If you’re out of luck you may not get a nonsmoking room or you may get one with 2 beds instead of 1, etc. Be sure to ask for nonsmoking upfront. Also, the pool is lousy. It attracts a lot of young kids due to the water fountain and such. The outdoor pool area abuts the I-40 freeway so forget about«relaxing» by the pool.

Almost my second home. I’ve been staying a couple of weeks a year at this Holiday Inn for almost 10 years now. It’s clean, with a friendly staff and modern rooms. They’ve recently completed a renovation and all the rooms are pretty much brand new. Good restaurant with a full breakfast buffet(free to Priority Club members). The bar is a full service bar that actually attracts a lot of locals, friendly bar staff with a good selection of booze and beer on tap. The only negatives are the wi-fi can be spotty in some of the rooms and they’ve gone to showers in all the rooms instead of tubs. I highly recommend if you are going to be in the Knoxville area.
