It’s definitely a notch better than anything else in Old City. But not that great. The music was«eh» better than Carleos forsure but the brightest and biggest highlight is their patio area. It’s pretty chill and nice enough to have a bit of peace and calm if being inside isn’t what you are in the mood for. I don’t have anything bad to say about it. Overall a fun place to dance and hang out if dancing isn’t your thing. I would come back forsure.

Don’t waste your time. Wanted to go celebrate a good friends b day… Please don’t go here! Before We walked in. the door attendant was extremely rude to people in front of us in line… And yes. He was the«main door man» And was extremely rude to us as well. When we got into the place it seemed like so much fun… Until we walked to the bar… Not okay… If you want to have fun in the old city… Please go somewhere you are welcome instead of somewhere you feel like it should be a «privilege» to walk into… And trust me… It’s not all that. Carleos, Armada, Barelys… Good time!!!

Minus the fact you smell like a cigarette after leaving this is still a fun place. I hadn’t been here in years but it still felt the same. Although the drink prices have went up dramatically. I feel like they should remember where they are! I paid almost the same for a whiskey and coke here as I did in the gaslamp in San Diego. Compared to other bars in the old city, Hanna’s played the best music of the night for dancing.

Going out in Knoxville can be depressing sometimes, but I usually have a good time at Hanna’s in old city. The place is large enough to hold a crowd, but not so huge you feel like you could never run into friends and people at the bar. It’s split with two levels with separate bars and DJs. Downstairs is probably more generic top 40 from the 80s and 90s with some new music. Its a pretty open space with a lot of room to dance. The top floor(my preferred floor) plays more hip-hop and current top 40. It’s not my favorite place in Knoxville, but I usually have a really good time.

I have to admit it — I dug Hanna’s Café. The music downstairs was heavy on the 80s and it was festive! The service was quick at the bar and most of the people were friendly. NOT including the guy that told me to «bend over, touch the floor» for me to dance with him. I may or may not have told him to F off. OTHERWISE this place was DB free and fun. Outside you will find plenty of patio tables for you to hang out and take a break to get some air. Upstairs you will find a dark room that plays some kickin hip-hop. I’m sure it gets crazier in there than when I was there. Everyone was sitting in a circle around the room against the wall, not dancing. Looked like a middle school dance. I danced anyway… thanks vodka! Overall this seems to be a great place to go when you want to cut loose and get your groove on in a casual, non-club-like environment. I wish Nashville had more dance BARS instead of honky-tonks or clubs. Sigh…

This was the first place I was taken to on the night of my 21st birthday. After that first night, I was hooked. Whether you want to dance all night in the 80’s room downstairs, get down in the hip-hop room upstairs, or just chill on the deck outside, this place has it all. Friday and Saturday nights are both good times to go, and according to their website, Thursday is now college night which is cover free.(cover is usually $ 5)

Oh Hanna’s, I love your 80s nights. Not only do I love the michael jackson thriller music videos that play along with the songs so you can dance, I love the fact that 80 year old men come to 80s night. And people who are time warped out of the 80s. I love that theres outside seating if the dance floor is too packed. Can’t complain about drink prices either!
