Pizza joints sometimes get a bad rap. Well Brixx is not your average pizza joint! The restaurant was clean and atmosphere was nice and relaxing. We tried the Buffalo chicken pizza, and it was delicious! The crust was perfect and tasted great, and the toppings were fresh. Our children got kids pizzas and loved them. The finale was the smore dessert pizza… yumm!!!

Weird rating time: Food = 3 stars. Service = 1 star. Beer selection = 4 stars. The food is decent. Nothing to write home about, but pretty good. It’s a bit costly, but they are pretty big portions. Good lordy the service is bad. A buddy and I were in there the other night, waited a full 20 minutes without service, before having to finally flag down a manager. Got a free appetizer out of it, but wasn’t worth it. …because we wanted beer. Their beer selection is superb. A little more than most places, but wide and varied. Which is why i keep going back. Decent location, big patio, great beer selection.

Brixx was one of my first pizza experiences in Knoxville and I wasn’t disappointed but also wasn’t blown away. We’ve been here on a couple of occasions. Tonight, I had the Americo with a gluten free crust and vegan cheese. The flavor of the crust is pretty good considering it’s not the typical flour crust which is something I crave with pizza and the vegan cheese is an adjustment(texture is somewhat sticky). Not a bad experience at all, but I’ve had better pizza. My favorite pie at Brixx is the Thai chicken followed by a close second with the Mexican. They’ve got some interesting flavors that work nicely together. Give those a shot.

I was really excited to try this place out, since I heard really good things about it, but I was left dissapointed. The pizza was really bland, it seemed like it was missing something, there wasn’t very big portions. The bread sticks were really dry, and my 3 year old wouldn’t even eat them. I don’t plan on going back since I’ve had better pizza, and I can make better pizza myself than this place.

Simple… all 10″ pizzas, with fresh toppings, baked in a wood fire oven, and served hot! Crust choices are traditional white(my pick), wheat(good, but prefer white), and gluten-free(best my husband has had!). We’ve gone several times and the only time I was disappointed was my pepperoni pizza I got as carryout — not enough cheese or pepperoni. Next time I’ll check before leaving. Atmosphere is a bit loud, noticeable amount of college kids here, but service is fairly quick so you don’t have to linger unless you want to try all of the beers. Overall, great pizzas, decent prices, and quick service. Photos are from another visit.

Well that was more pleasant than I expected and I’ll upgrade to 4 stars based on how positively my kid was treated. Like a normal parent, we have a tablet that is reserved for restaurant emergencies, as the instant quiet solution. Here, there was no ‘kneed’, as they will give your hellion a slab of pizza dough to mash the buh-jeebus out of for a good hour, while you and your spouse almost can feel date like! Ahhhhmazing! Taking into account my preference for a mid afternoon beer, my husband deferred to the coin toss solution to who drinks/who drives and I won, awesomely accounting for the nice selections of beer(including Not Your Father’s Root Beer on Tap. Who does that!) and I made off with having the Belgian White Blue Moon with my Buffalo Wing Pizza. Har har. Both of us having been half starved, we moved onto the Thai Style. Both were perfectly fine, thin crust, toppings could have been more evenly distributed, but I can’t’ care that hard, and moved it about to suit myself. Tasted great. We ate, the kid ate, no one had to complain, there was no yelling, disciplining, or tantrums, and except for the occasional, «pew, pew, pew, Kboooom» sounds coming out of my kid at a low volume, we looked hella normal and like good parents. Thank you for an awesome lunch date. Word of advice, that Buffalo is spicier then it seems on entry. The bread really masks the heat until later when you’re trying to digest. My tummy burns.

This is our favorite pizza in knoxvillle, and we made that decision after trying: Tomatohead, Blaze, Hard Knox, and Marcos. It’s classic wood — oven trattoria pizza served in a bit more modern atmosphere with one of the best craft beer menus in knoxville. Wait staff are attentive college students who have a sporadic range of knowledge about beer. Some know the whole list, and some can only run and fetch. Not a problem because they do offer tasters which solves the lack of knowledge /descriptive ability of the newer staff. Pizza is always excellent and we order from the pre-set menu.

Pizza was not good at all. Not sure what the fuss is all about… unless it’s for fancy pizzas only, because a plain cheese and pepperoni pizza is simply not good(in my opinion). Don’t plan to return to any Brixx’s location. Below average pizza!

Ordered meatball pizza and wife ordered a wild mushroom pizza. My wife said it didn’t feel like she was eating pizza more like that Indian naan bread with some pizza toppings and I totally agreed with her. It wasn’t bad, some of the toppings that were supposed to be hot, weren’t. Also some of toppings could have been fresher and more generous. Obviously they put some of the toppings on the pizza after they baked the pizza. Really, it was ok, i mean this isn’t Brooklyn, Chicago, or Philly so you can’t expect too much in the pizza department, probably about as appetizing as domino’s, Pizza Hut or Chuckle Cheese. Glad we had a buy one get one free coupon. Service was very good, nice waiter, restaurant clean, not too noisy. Probably will not come back anytime soon.

Craft beer fan? This is the place to be! The manager, Skyler, has made this Brixx(and only this Brixx) into a craft beer destination. It is completely normal to see 2 or 3 new kegs tapped each week. The rotation is incredible. And he blasts out an email with each new tap. Want more? How about the new incredible bourbon selection Skyler is putting together. Literally, a bourbon wall! Add great pizza, and a great dog-friendly patio — awesome!

Not sure if we hit a bad night or what, but our pizza was served barely warm. Also, ordered two Blanton’s whiskeys on the rocks and the pour was pathetic to say the least. Especially when they charged $ 24.00 for the two!!!

We go to this location every Wednesday evening for the great high gravity beer selection, yummy food, great service and low prices. We enjoy trivia and have even won a couple of times which makes dinner free! The staff is Friendly, there are several TVs to catch a game on, and always a good selection of seasonal beers on tap also. Swing by!

I really, really want Brixx to get more than 3 stars and stongly recommend complete overhaul of their menu. Knoxville, in particular, is a desert in regard to late night eateries. It would be so simple to focus on fresher cleaner flavors. The service we had was spectacular for a late Sunday evening. We ordered the spinach & artichoke dip and the 4×4 pizza. The oily dip was served with toast and while palatable had separated. I wished there was some warm soft yeasty rolls rather than the boring dry toast. And, wow was that a salty pizza. I could only manage one slice – my companion loved it but he happily snarfs down my kitchen failures our dog refuses. I’m just saying, something along the lines of colorful bell peppers or halved cherry tomatoes could cut all that salt produced by those four meats and cheeses. Or less salty meats. Anyway, if you are looking for somewhere to knosh after a show that’s not the Awful House or I-hop and you are in west Knoxville then Brixx has you over a barrel. You will need lots of beer or water to wash down the salt – as is probably planned.

Not bad! We started off with appetizers(hummus and bruschetta) then for our main course we had two pizzas. The food came out really fast actually all at once so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy our appetizers first. Over all I would rate it a decent experience. I guess it’s a popular local place and the locals love the all wood burning oven. The prices are decent they had some special buy one get one free so that was kinda cool.

Pizzas were made in less than 10 minutes. This makes me question how fresh it is. I ordered the Wood Roasted Vegetable Pizza and the Wild Mushroom Pizza, both with vegan cheese. The crust was not as I hoped for. It reminded me of dominos pizza and the pies were practically the same. The staff was super nice but their pies are lacking.

Brixx is one of those places I like but find myself in very little. I’m not enough of a pizza fan to go. Or maybe it’s all the kids I used to see in the place. I’m not a fan of those either. Actually families with small kids that need lots of variety should go. The place has several gluten free options, beer for the grown-ups, and sandwiches if you aren’t in a pizza mood. I think the veggie pizzas on thin crust are the best, but that’s just me. I’m not a vegetarian, but those options are just really fresh tasting.

Stopped in here on a Saturday night around 1130pm … I was in need of some decent food and a pint. What I got was excellent pizza and an amazing selection of quality beers. They have specials after 10 or 11 pm on their pizza’s. Buy one get one free. A great deal. At any rate the bar tender was cool and I enjoyed myself. I had the chicken caprezze pizza while there along with two great pints of pale ale. The second(free) pizza that I got to go was thier Mexican pizza. Chicken, black beans, fresh jalapeños and a drizzle of sour cream(i’m sure there was more on it). Both pizza’s were of great quality and I would frequent this place more often if I lived in Knoxville. There is apparently a location closer to Nashville(where I live), but its in Hendersonville, which is a bit out of my way. At any rate I highly suggest this place, especially after hours when their deals start.
