Great baked goods but the prices can be a little high. Their scones are always on point!

I was in the Farragut area on Friday and just couldn’t head back home without stopping by BYL Bakery. The baked goods case was full of all sorts of yummy treats and it was so difficult to decide, but instead of buying one of everything, I decided on a slice of the French Toast cake. I honestly just wanted a little treat to share with my hubby after a long week. So, after dinner I suprised him with the generous portion of this incredible smelling cake! He actually decided to drizzle some maple syrup (Hilltop Boilers maple syrup — best stuff around!!!) but I wanted to try it in it’s most pure state. Let’s just say… inhaled! It was sweet, soft, and tasted just like french toast! It had 2 layers of the cake, which was firm yet not heavy, and rich cream cheese icing between and on top. Really delicious!!! While in the store, I also tried a sample of the Foccacia that they make every Thursday. It is a paleo version of a staple Italian bread with all natural ingredients. The touch of rosemary was perfect, however it was pretty dry. I wanted to buy a loaf and send it to a friend of mine in Florida who can’t find any decent GF bread, but at $ 15 a loaf (~8″ in diameter, 1.5″ tall), I just couldn’t do it. Will this keep me from going back to BYL? Heck no!!! Will I try a sample again if offered? Of course!!! Will I keep telling everyone about this bakery? Indeed!!!

I love this place. It is awesome having somewhere to go where everything is gluten free and GMO free. No matter what food sensitivity you have, you can shop here.

great find in Knoxville. This completely gluten-​free bakery and grocery has delicious GF baked goods and a nice selection of GF food items. Certainly NOT cheap but very good quality. Conveniently located right off the highway. The employees were very friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere.

This is my favorite gluten free bakery ever! What really ads to it is the fact that their baked goods are generally low glycemic, as well (using coconut nectar and almond flour), and they are always developing new recipes.
The shop part of the bakery is nice, as all the items are hand picked, and the smoothie bar has lots of great original smoothie options.
A very enthusiastic five stars!
