I have lived in Florida my entire life and this was my first trip to medieval times. We took our twins for their ninth birthday, we went on a Friday night and it was sold out to capacity the first thing I would tell you is if you have an issue with crowds in a small space don’t come too early to the show because before the show you’re in a very small space with a lot of people end it can be overwhelming. There are a list of things to do however if you get there early like take your picture with a king or queen, that part was kind of cool. Once in the arena we were greeted by a very friendly server who throughout the whole experience took amazing care of our party. We were fortunate enough to get front row seats and the show was incredible the horses were beautiful and the talents of the individuals put it on the show was top notch. All of the food we received you had to eat with only your hands but surprisingly all of the food was delicious the chicken was cooked perfectly the tomato soup was delicious and the corn and potatoes were seasoned beautifully. Be warned while you’re eating your meal a parade of people come through selling everything from flags to a shots of whiskey the ticket itself was $ 70 but when you add in all of the people that came through at our table we spent an additional $ 100 for a party of 5. With that said we would go again this time maybe not with all the add-ons and definitely not go as early as we did to avoid the crowds in the small space. If you’ve never been I highly recommend you go at least once the show truly is beautiful and the food tasty.

This is the second time I have been to a Medieval Times and the first(Washington D.C./Arundel Mills) was not a good experience. To start, this place is huge. The gathering area, bar and souvenir shop were very large. I didn’t browse too much since I naturally gravitated towards the beers. They had a handful of beers on tap; The normal Bud Light and friends, Yuengling and a local cider. For a fee, you could buy a keeper glass or stein($ 15+ depending on what you’re getting). The beers were $ 7 and no matter what keeper glass you purchased, some bigger than others, the refill was $ 7. I appreciated that tidbit of information from one of the workers. They had a good selection of liquor and I think 6 different flavored slushy machines. You could order the slushies with or without alcohol and I remember them to be pretty decent. I stuck to Bud Light but if you want to go into full kid mode and need a buzz, this is a decent option. +1 partially drunk star. You are given a colored crown and a number when you enter and this will specify«your» knight and section. We received Yellow, kind of disappointed even though the knight was pretty cool. No one likes the color Yellow except ColdPlay. If you have made it this far in the review, please note that when you attend Medieval Times you will get messy. Your silverware is your left and right hand, and you will be very close to your neighbor. My wife may or may not have had residue on her from the food tornado I created(Happy Valentines Day). The food consisted of a giant piece of baked chicken, half a potato, garlic bread, tomato soup, corn on the cob and a pastry dessert. You also get a choice of beverage and they have full bar service. Our server for the night was Jon(sp?) and he was awesome. He did double duty and actually participated in the show in between serving us. I don’t remember that being the case during my previous experience. Overall, the food was really good and I give the service two greasy thumbs up. No matter when you go, the backstory of the Knights is the same. The emcee(I don’t know what his actual role in this world is) was entertaining. His accent was on point and his hair flow was majestic! When you hear Morgan Freeman speak and you think«I wish he could narrate my life»… Yes, that’s exactly what I said when I heard this guy. The show was really entertaining even though the bad guy lost. I love heels and villains so I was slightly disappointed. There are plenty of photo ops and they sell group photos that you take with the king prior to the show($ 15+). This is best suited for middle aged children or large groups of drunk adults. PROS: lots of food, decent drink choices, entertaining show, decent amount of fan interaction CONS: little elbow room, good guys always win, slightly expensive

The food was amazing to eat with your hands only. To start they give you a tomato soup that you can tell is freshly made with a piece of garlic toast. Then your main course of an half of chicken, corn and potato. Lastly your desert to follow an amazing show. Definitely bring your family because they won’t be disappointed!

En garde! Medieval Times gets your excitement up from the moment you pull up to the castle exterior complete with a moat, fiery tour tour torches and ivy-clad stone walls. This most recent visit was to celebrate my brother-in-law’s birthday(it was a surprise for him) and he loved it! They recommend that you arrive about an hour before the dinner show starts and this is mostly so that you can mill about being enticed by their showy sale items. You can even buy a whole suit or armor if you have $ 5,000USD to spare(but seriously, it’s impressive!). Also, as you enter, be prepared for a forced photo opp with the«king» and«princess.» Once you enter, the stadium where you eat dinner(without utensils — this is medieval times, after all), you are seated in the color section represented the knight that you will cheer for. Everyone is provided with a complimentary paper crown and wavy-flag-thingie to cheer your knight to victory! I totally get into the act and wave my flag-thingie while screaming my head off. This time, my family and I were cheering for the black and white knight. He didn’t win, but it was still an amazing show. The horses definitely add to the magnificence of this dinner show and my dad was pointing out whenever one of them pooped(gotta love my dad!). The food itself was just okay. Your meal comes with your choice of soda or water and our wench(I’m not being mean, that’s what they called our waitress) spilled soda all over my dad as it’s pretty dark in there. It really wasn’t her fault and she was great otherwise. Your meal starts out with a tomato-y soup and bread and the main course consists of roasted chicken, ribs(which I think they were out of as no one got ribs even though they were listed on the menu and I’ve gotten ribs in the past in addition to the chicken), corn on the Cobb and a baked potato. Also, they have vegetarian entrée options available upon request. For dessert, we had an apple turnover and coffee if you would like. So even though the food is mediocre, you’re too busy being entertained to notice! I will definitely be back!

My first time here and it was really cool! The show was awesome and with the crowd participation it was like being at a sporting event well it kind of was a medieval sporting event! The food was really good and the portions were huge. I was very full after the meal. We really enjoyed our time!

Show was fun Food, just ok Seating horrible They cramp everyone into bench seating and leave no room at all to move Kept elbowing and getting elbowed The woman next to me had a rotten Potato totally black inside Good thing she noticed it in the dark Don’t expect too much and have fun with it for what it is. A touristy dinner /show

My wife and I have wanted to go to this event for a while, and finally it happened. The show was excellent, which is why I am giving it four stars. Loved the audience interaction. I’m not one to take sides, but you have to pick the blue knight. If not blue, then red as much as it loathes me to say it. The service left much to be desired. Our server, Robert, was super slow. He did have to participate in the opening ceremony, but so did other servers and they were able to get out drinks and two food items. My wife loved it(not the service), and may secretly have been crushing on the blue knight.

My lords and ladies… A medieval time was had… If you are from or live within a 300 mile radius of the central Florida area, there is a good chance you either grew up with or went to Medieval times in the 90s. Such is the case with myself and having not been there in quite a number of years, this past visit was interesting. Not a lot has really changed I would start off saying, the castle is kept and looking good inside and out, and the costumes of the staff as you enter are just a kitchy as ever. Suspending disbelief of really being in a 16th century castle environment may be tricky for some, but if you enjoy these types of nights out, this place will be fun. We barely made it on time, but did so enough to still have our photo as a group taken and then promptly taken to our seats. This was part of the problem though. Getting there with just enough time as the show was starting meant being in the last row off to the side edge and the view, although not terrible, was just a little skewed. Our service though was fantastic. I was in constant awe of our«wench» Francesca and her ability to run around with such heavy trays and containers constantly. Then came the meals. I opted for the vegetarian option as I did not feel like a «greasy» chicken that night. No offense to their chefs as it did look fantastic, but I wanted something different and when I heard there was hummus and a three bean stew, I was in. So my special meal(first photos of this option on Unilocal!) was very tasty and plentiful, as was the case with all our families’ portions, and the drinks were kept full. The meal ended with a nice apple turnover which I surely consumed as well. As for the show, it was staged I am sure, but a lot of fun, from jousting to fencing, to horses running in different formations, it was a nice evening with the whole family. Our knight did not do «so» well as he was taken down a few rounds in, but all in good fun. As we exited the arena we actually were able to venture off to the village area where we saw and took photos of medieval artifacts and pieces that had been placed from many, many years back supposedly. I remember seeing this as a kid and being in awe, so once again, going back was quite fun. All in all I would give Medieval Times a thumbs up, but not a lot has changed, and if you would like to enjoy a dinner show with a spouse or family, this is a great time for all.

Fun times! We got the blue knight and sadly he got knocked out in the first round. Food was good as always(their potatoes were seasoned perfectly) and the staff was very attentive. Weirdly the king had a strange accent and sometimes it was hard to understand him. I know his name is «Don Carlos» but the accent was definitely not Spanish. Overall a fun experience. We had discounted tickets though. I wouldn’t go there at full price. Just look for discounts if you decide to go. They have promotions all the time.

No other evening event can take you on a journey back in time quite like Medieval Times. One of nine castles on the North American continent is bestowed upon the providence of Kissimmee in the kingdom of Orlando. Your journey from today to the time of yesteryear begins upon the castle as the drawbridge beckons. Torches are lit to signal a grand event is at hand. Once one of the merry maids confirms you are on the guest list and appoints your knight, you are taken to an instant portrait session with one of the royal family or a handsome knight. Inside the fortress walls lies the grand hall dressed with royal crests, libations, and souvenirs fit for a king or queen. When the arena is open, guests are invited in and taken to their proper cheering sections of their respective knights. The court entertains the guests with pageantry, horse prancing, jousting, and sword fighting. The guests cheer as the knights battle to the death. There can be only one victorious knight. The Bill of Fare begins with tomato bisque and warm baked bread. The main course of roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, and herb-basted potato are served«sans flatware» so feel free to eat with your hands. Pasty of the Castle(apple turnover) is the sweet ending to your feast. Beverages of Pepsi and coffee are included with the fare. Adult libations are also available for purchase. HAZZAH!

When you walk into the arena you’re greeted with a sense of wonder, nostalgia for a time you never knew, and a whole lot of horse smell. Now, I don’t mind horse smell, but you’ll sit there thinking, «wait, aren’t they going to serve me dinner soon? Will they do something, you know, about that omnipresent eau de horse?» It’s like somebody forgot to think that through before creating the hybrid dinner-horse show experience — maybe nobody will notice(spoiler alert: I did!). That unfortunate juxtaposition aside, you get a pretty good show and a pretty good dinner for a pretty good price. Yes, it’s expensive-ish but they have lots of specials and I think the quality-for-price ratio is right on. They *will* try to upsell you to premium drinks, photo ops, flags, etc. at every turn, so be warned if you like to keep to yourself. The actors are pretty good, the show is pretty fun, the food is pretty good. Everything was, well, all-around pretty good and, individually, might get 4 stars. But eating in a horse stable… yeah, not a great idea.

Let me start by saying, the last time I went to Medieval Times was back in the 90’s, and it certainly has changed. Back then, the wenches wore plastic visors turned up on their heads as head pieces with lace over them. Yeah. It’s come a long way. The interior really looks nice now. The food is pretty much the same, what with the quarter chicken, soup, toast, potatoes and corn. If you’re lucky to be near the kitchen. its warm or even hot. I’m told if you’re further away, it can be almost cold. The good is, that it can be very entertaining if you enjoy good horseman ship. The stallions are gorgeous, the lighting is lovely and the music is great. The bad? well, the fight choreography is pretty bad, watching the jousters throw THEMSELVES off the horses. 7 seconds after the impact — I counted, made me laugh. it was easy to tell the seasoned fighters from the newer guys. But that’s ok. People were enjoying themselves, and perhaps not everyone has experience in stage combat. I’ve just spent years with RenFair folks. But the worst thing, and perhaps the most unforgivable thing is the constant interruption by people selling stuff. I get that the owners want to make a buck, but does it have to be while the show is going on? Didn’t people have an hour to 1.5 hours ahead of time before things began? The fact that someone kept walking up and down the stadium seating with lighted swords and fairy wands, or roses, trying to take photos or sell me the bad photos that were taken earlier. That is what upset me. It took me out of my experience and ruined more than half of my photos. I’m –REALLY– glad that I didn’t pay full price for the event, because if I did, I’d be pissed. Will I come back? Not unless I win tickets, or someone else pays, because this kind of high pressure sales tactic is obnoxious. Also the Princess character doesn’t speak up into the mic enough.

I’ve been wanting to come to this place for a very long time. I didn’t think it would be as adult friendly as it was. Definitely surpassed my expectations. The show was highly entertaining and the food was surprisingly so delicious. Kudos to the chef for not making the tomato soup too salty(it was just right) and the chicken was cooked just right! It’s a must go place for all ages!

As touristy as this place is, I’m a sucker for good entertainment. I recently went here for a friends birthday party. This place combines a good show with decent food for a good 2 hours of entertainment. While you dine on medieval foods with your fingers(there are no utensils in Medieval Times!), you simultaneously root for the knight who bears the colors of the section you are seated in. I’ll admit, the food isn’t the greatest, but its not bad either. It mainly consisted of tomato soup, half a chicken, bread, potatoe, and a pastry. My wife had the vegetarian option(which admittedly wasn’t as good as she had hoped), which consisted of hummus and carrots, and salad. The show itself is pretty kitchy. Think a Knight’s Tale. Knights from the realm come to compete with each other and vie for the heart of the princess. Then a bad knight from a far off land arrives and gives the king trouble. The«best» of the good knights(chosen from winning the other knightly games) fights off the bad guy, and then all is well in the kingdom. The only thing I didn’t like was the people walking around trying to sell rainbow light up swords and flags since it kind of took away from the experience. Other than that, everything else was swell. Overall, I will come, but probably only for special occasions. If you’ve never been, you should at least go once to see what all the hype is about.

With a newborn baby, it has been difficult to get to some recent Elite events. But when I found out about this one, there was no doubt I’d make it! See, I’ve lived in Orlando for 13+ years, yet have NEVER been to Medieval Times! This was about to change. I went with fellow Elite Peter G. We arrived at about 5:15pm after dealing with traffic. I forgot how much I hate this part of town. But pulling into the parking lot reminded me of the fun we were about to have. Walking around to the rear of the castle, we quickly saw the Unilocal signs and proceeded into the reception area. Quickly saw the Unilocal signs and proceeded into the reception area. Once inside, we found Andy and all of the other Unilocal Elite. It was great seeing everybody there smiling and getting to know each other. I received my fancy paper crown and was told we would be cheering for the red night. Eventually, we were laid on a tour of the castle grounds, which was nothing less than awesome. We were shown, not replicas, but actual pieces of furniture, tools, and other items from the medieval era. This was one of the coolest things about the event, & I had no idea that this feature existed. After the tour, they open the bar to us to allow us to use our drink tickets. I got a Dragon Slayer, and then later some form of strawberry drink called Maiden’s kiss. Both were good, however, I’ve never been a fan of fruity drinks. But, when in Rome, right? After a brief period where we got to go on stage, we were escorted into the arena and our tables. It was exactly as I had hoped fun festive and totally ridiculous. We were served over the course of the show tomato soup, roasted chicken, corn on the cob, some kind of potato, and an apple turnover. The food was surprisingly good, not great, but better than expected. This show with a lot of fun, although it was hard to sometimes hear what was being said, and there were points where there was a lull during the show. This is a great event to take children to, as the violence is well rehearsed and not graphic. Clearly the actors /stuntman train very hard and do a good job of not over selling things. This is a cheesy place to go, but that’s part of the fun. I hope to take our son here someday when he is old enough.

HEARYE, HEARYE! I came here with my boyfriend quite some time ago. I’m an absolute sucker for anything medieval/renaissance-y so when we were in Florida and I found a coupon for Medieval Times in one of the booklets we got at our hotel’s front desk — we just had to do it! One thing I would definitely advise is to never pay full price for tickets here. Full price is like $ 60-something but there are so many coupons in hotel booklets, online discount codes and even on the section on their website labeled«special promotions». Medieval Times is super nerdy and they really go all out. We were assigned the red knight(the kingdom of Perelada), but I was kind of a traitor and rooting for the green kingdom’s knight. He was significantly better looking and much more skilled with his jousting sword thingamabob. The«East Coast» knight ended up winning. The food here is nothing special… but not inedible, I mean I’ve definitely has worse. The menu is pretty much the same for everyone and really sucks if you’re a vegetarian. I mean, if you don’t eat meat then you’re basically going home hungry unless you stock up on garlic bread, lol. The menu includes soup, roasted chicken legs(huge ones at that!), saucy ribs, garlic bread(this was by far the best part of the meal!), dessert and coffee. Your ticket includes all the food and a Pepsi or Sprite. Adult libations are sold separately — but are also aplenty! Cocktails are about $ 10 – 12 and dependent on which souvenir glass you’d like them to pour it in. I chose a tall blue metallic tulip glass and my boyfriend chose a large glass beer stein type mug. I think there was also an option to get your cocktails in a plain disposable plastic cup… but yeah, we wanted souvenir glasses to take home. My sweetheart also purchased a wooden sword which we used to knight each other and to root for our knight. Knights asides, there was also an entertaining king/princess storyline, a falcon show, an awesome horses show(I hope all the animals are well treated –_-) and an overarching evil knight situation… SPOILERALERT: The evil knight was defeated, the princess was found safe & sound, all the animals were overjoyed and everything ended up happily ever after, lol. I absolutely loved our experience here. So much so that I’ve planned a trip to do it all over again at their Lyndhurst, New Jersey castle and I’m going to wear a birthday tiara or crown. I can’t wait! Huzzah!

My first time coming here and I love it. Very entertaining and enjoyed it. The food is alright, but it’s plenty. My fiancé and I got the celebration package which is much worth it than the other packages because you get a little more extra like a celebration cake and group photo. Just make sure you check out their special offers first or tourist coupons book. We bought the tickets online so it’s much better than waiting in line. Love the inside of the castle because there’s a large open space with bars and a shop before you enter the stadium. People with packages go in first before anyone else. Seating is a bit tight as they try to squeeze everyone in at each row. So it’s a bit annoying as it’s almost elbow to elbow, but i don’t care as I’m more focused on the show. Our waiter(I guess that’s what he was?) was very attentive and made sure we got everything we needed. Left him a good tip. Love the beautiful horses and Knights. Some of these knights are pretty good looking. Lol. They do some horse tricks and mini tournaments before the real action begins. Love it how if your knight succeeds in completing a mini tournament, they give out flowers and the Knights throws them to the crowd on their treat. It’s funny to see people trying to get their attention for a flower to be thrown at them. Their acting and sword fighting is obviously played out, but you can see some Knights actually try to make it real as possible and that’s the cool thing. Sadly, our knight lost, but it’s okay because it was great to watch and entertaining. Love to come back again.

First things first !! DONTPAYFULLPRICE ! There’s coupons for this place literally all over the Internet… I got the package that included the vip seating just because I went for Valentine’s Day and that package include champagne, pictures, and a rose !! Otherwise it’s probably the same thing to watch from far! The show was okay, I guess it’s good for kids but pretty fake looking for adults… The horses were nice though… There’s no utensils so it’s all about eating with your bare hands here :) which I thought was a pretty cool and unique thing. Everyone gets fed the same thing… For he most part. You can get either water or coke to drink… I think sprite was an option too but I’m not completely sure. The soup comes first, I recommend you don’t even try it… Just skip it… It’s no good ! The garlic bread was my favorite part it was REALLY good I had to steal a piece of my boyfriends. The chicken is ok, and so are the ribs… Desert was ok too… And they bring you coffee at the end. My favorite part was the village, I recommend you go before the show starts so you can have some time to walk around the little village :) Point is … if you have kids GO if you don’t… Go some place else :) Oh PS. My knight lost :(

Ahh man what can I say about the awesome place !!! I had a great time. They tell you to arrive early just so you can look around the lobby and shop for all the nice replica’s of swords, hats, and helmets. But seriously arriving early isnt a big deal. They just want you to shop. One hour later we were seated and got the best server ever. Trey your awesome! We got seated right up front couldnt get any better than that The food was AMAZE-BALLS ! I was really shocked at how good it tasted. It didnt look all that good but it tasted great. I had my Sangria pre-ordered to my table before the show started. Very tasty also. There is just too much good things to say about this place, I would highly RECOMMEND you visit it for yourselves. Well worth the money !
