The Rusted Chandelier adds some new flavor to the downtown Kirkwood shopping scene, interior decorating services as well as home and gift accessories. The vibe tends to skew to the country French end of the spectrum, with a sense of sophistication.
The back of the store seemed to have an abundance of swatches and samples for interior decorating projects. The front of the store contained accessories and gift items. Although most items were on the formal side, I spied a few treasures to covet — things that I hadn’t seen in the other shops in town.
I will check out this shop for hostess gifts, mother’s day, items, etc.

There is a new décor boutique in town, Downtown Kirkwood, that is.
This new shop recently opened and today I popped in to check it out. What caught my eye was all the black and white checkered hand painted items. I asked the lady behind the counter if they bought these items or were they hand painted there. They were hand painted by her! I told her I had a MacKenzie Child black and white tea pot that I adore, and she told me that was her inspiration. If you are familiar with Ballard Designs, there are several items that reminded me of them as well.
Great place to find a gift or add a special something to your own décor.
