Melissa is absolutely horrible when it comes to replying to emails. When myself, and many others at a former employer applied for a job with them (Microsoft contract), every one of us sent at least 5 emails and applications over a few months period, with no reply whatsoever.
I became so fed up with the lack of response that I emailed someone else and asked for help, and only then did Melissa speak up. After my contract ended, I asked her point blank, what is the best way to reach you and was told email. Since then, I sent several messages, with zero replies.
More recently, she called about a year ago with another job that I really did not think I was qualified for, but I went ahead against my better judgment. She never sent me a job description. About a week later I had the interview, and it was clear I was under qualified, but the interviewer was pretty nice about it.
She called me back once and left a voice message saying she needed to speak with me, but gave no detail. I called back, left a message, but never heard from her again.
Melissa is pretty well known on the Exchange team to rarely reply to emails. I really don’t know how she keeps her job. Seriously.
I realize that as a contractor it is not the best idea to flame a person openly, but I don’t go by my real name, and since I will never work for this company again, I really don’t care what they think of me.
If you love them, work for them. Melissa alone is the reason I will never work for them again. Extremely unprofessional.

I’ve been consulting through Xtreme at Microsoft for 3 years now and have been very pleased. They offer great benefits, great perks and timely increases in salary. Their support staff is responsive and always readily available. If you are looking for your next contract or consulting work, Xtreme should be first on your list to contact.

I have been with Xtreme about a year now and have to admit, its great to know you are valued and appreciated where you spend most of your waking hours. It’s hard with Vendor companies but Xtreme really does try to make you feel like you are part of the team. Even off site. All in all one of the best experiences … so far.

I’m a little bit disappointed. Had a great meeting with one of the recruiters, Luli. However, after a few correspondences, she seemed to just went quiet without responding to my emails. I wish recruiters can just send an email to say that they are not interested in you anymore rather than build up so much hope and then BAM, door slams shut. I guess I didn’t get the recruiter who would fight for me like the previous reviewer. Maybe your luck will be better.

I don’t know what it is about the concept of reviewing employment agencies. But anytime you talk about jobs, the best thing to do is to keep your cards close to the vest. Do not burn any bridges that you have built. I would certainly not recommend writing a negative review on Unilocal with your real picture on it. That would honestly do more harm than good. I would suggest Glassdoor in that situation if you need to vent.
However, I would say it is healthy to write positive things on Unilocal about places that you have worked if it is warranted. These workplaces deserve recognition. I did not work at Xtreme corporate, but rather as a contractor at Microsoft through them. The actual hiring process, even for contractor/​vendor roles are highly competitive. You need a recruiter that will fight for you and get your resume and credentials to the desk of the hiring manager stat!
Was contacted about an opportunity here by one of the recruiters, Michelle at Xtreme. We met in person to discuss my credentials before she submitted me out for roles which I think is a good thing. It is always good to meet a candidate to get a feel for their character and whether they would be a match for a position.
She was expedient and responsive through the whole process. When I got the job, the paperwork process was fairly quick. I did also like that headquarters are just across the street from Microsoft, so that if you did have an issue, you could just pop in.
The health benefits package are pretty comprehensive and they do offer 1 week of vacation pay each year that is earned in increments each pay period. They also have holiday pay which is nice. Aside from an initial direct deposit issue, the paychecks went out without a hitch.
Overall, I was pleased with my experience working through Xtreme. Would recommend going through Xtreme for Microsoft contract/​vendor roles.
