Great ambience, service, and location. I am a fan of the downtown Kirkland area and am happy that good Thai food is close by. The lunch portions are reasonably priced, but it matches the portion. I ordered Panang Curry and Phad Thai, both with steamed tofu. My friend was extremely satisfied with the curry flavor. Service was efficient. This is my second time here and I did not leave disappointed.

This is a place that should have a lot of potential based on location alone. Thats actually why I gave it the extra star. Its the only thai place on the Kirkland water front. Inside, the restaurant is more u-district than Carillon Pointe. The tables and chairs are made for outside. Its all cheap plastic. The service is close to non-existent. The food tasted old and the pahd thai lacked flavor. Don’t be fooled by the location and dine elsewhere.

This is my favorite place for Thai. I usually get in the bar area. The majority of the bar staff is awesome. The Pad Thai is really good. Ask about the daily special, they usually have a special dish. The chicken satay skewers are a yummy appetizer.

The food at Thin Pan is good but the service is terrible! Every time I’ve been here one server in particular makes you feel like she’s doing you a favor by doing her job. I would recommend take out.

Good thai food in an excellent location by the lake. Most convenient to pick your lunch and eat by the lakeside on a warm sunny day. Service is snail-paced on a busy weekday during lunch hours. But during dinner time, it is more easy-going. The lady(who waits at each and every table and seems to have been here forever) is very nice. Their Thin Pan fried rice and jungle fried rice is very good. As are their curries. Although not the best Thai food I have had, it is good food served at a decent price.

Yummy pad thai, sweet milky thai iced tea, and so close to the waterfront. I’m sure I’ll be back. :o)

this place is pretty decent. it’s hard to give it average reviews because when you’re REALLY craving thai in the downtown kirkland vicinity, where else are you going to go? it’s not too pricey, either. i never like eating there, i like to call in and take it to go. their curry sucks, but their phad thai is decent. like most restaurants in kirkland, it’s just alright. but like i said earlier, with limited options and limited time, it does hit the thai-craving spot.

Good location, tasty dishes made by Thai chef’s, not«outsourced» Only negative– portions have become smaller recently Definitely one of the better Thai places on the Eastside.

Good solid Asian fare. Only went here once but really enjoyed my Panang dish. Wife did as well. Fried rice was good. Wish I had more. Would definitely go back. Parking sucks but it isn’t their fault, just downtown Kirkland. Seems like there never is a hard time getting in to this place realistically as well.

I go here a lot because I work nearby. This place doesn’t get nearly enough customers for how good the food is. I’m obsessed with their Massaman curry, and if you haven’t had the calamari appetizer with the sweet chili sauce you are seriously missing out. The food is fairly priced and decent portions. Not extraordinary, but I never feel ripped off. The waitresses are usually very friendly and their take-out service is fast and efficient. I’ve gone there dozens of times now, and taken at least a half dozen people there and never heard a complaint. They know their Thai. Good stuff!

We used to come here all the time. We first tried it like 2 years ago — suspicious due to it’s prime location and posh setup — that it wouldn’t be any good. But their pad thai and pad see ew(the standard by which we judge all good thai food) was decent! Like I said, this was our go-to Thai place. However, the last time we ordered takeout, we were sorely disappointed. I ordered a veggie mix(which was an awesome healthy choice with added chicken and rice on the side) and brought it home to discover that the tiny takeout box which contained my dish less than half full — and came out to a 3 pieces of brocolli, carrot slivers, and some mushrooms. When I called to complain, all they said was«the vegetables cook down». Anyway, the quality here has been steadily decreasing for a while. Better to try Noppakao which is a little further away from downtown but gives HUGE portions at the same prices.

I used to come here every Friday with my boyfriend to meet his friends. In the summer we would grab a table that was half way outside and enjoy the sun. If you sit in the bar, you will get a pretty stiff drink and some great service. I usually order the Green Chicken Curry(3 stars) and there is something about their curry sauce that I love. For an appetizer we normally get their Chicken Satay and I love the peanut butter sauce and cucumbers. Next time I am in Kirkland, I will have to stop by for some Green Curry. YUM!

OMG! My last visit was in 2008 and I said I won’t go back. Well, I came back in 2012. I think Thin Pan is under new management. They speak Chinese. Environment: On the darker side but overall clean Service: Good and Friendly Price: Over For example: «The Perfect Storm» priced for $ 16 — it contains several small shrimps, green beans, one scallop, couple rings of squid and slices of onion. There you have it the perfect storm. Food: Smaller portion with ok taste Note: During winter, the interior ventilation can be improve.

We were in Kirkland visiting a gaming company when our friends suggested lunch. We walked here and had no trouble getting a table during lunchtime. There were eight of us and when the food arrived, it was nicely plated. I enjoyed my tofu and bean sprout salad with peanut salad. And my boyfriend’s mixed satay plate was excellent stuff. Our service was good. She checked on us several times during our meal and brought our cheque promptly. If I were in the area again, I would return here for lunch!

Didn’t actually get to eat here. We stopped for lunch on Friday after a challenging morning. No one In line ahead of us. Took five minutes to be seated. Took 30 minutes of trying to get the waitstaff attention to take even our drink order before we walked out. I’m hoping it was a bad day for them… but it will be awhile before I will try again.

I was in Kirkland for business and needed a place to eat. A friend of mine suggested that I try out Thin Pan, and I am SO glad that I did. AMAZING thai food on the edge of Kirkland’s downtown area. I briefly looked over other people’s reviews, and a lot of people suggested getting the Green Beans Wok appetizer. Oh WOW. It was so good! String beans lightly sauteed in a sweet, tangy yet salty sauce that was also and a bit spicy. All these flavors were mixed together in the sauce — impressive, not to mention delicious. The beans also were covered in a some sort of smokey garlic mixture that just added to the flavor of the dish… I could write a poem about how I loved these string beans. Since the appetizer is fairly large, it made for excellent leftovers the next day. I also got my Thai staple — Pad Si Ew — because that’s how I compare Thai restaurants based on how I like this dish. Well, I have to say that it’s one of the best that I’ve ever had. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavor of the Pad Si Ew was yummy. I will be coming back here anytime I am in Kirkland. Yes, I will drive to the Eastside for this restaurant; it is that good.

I work near downtown Kirkland and Thin Pan is on my rotation. There are two other Thai places on Lake Washington Blvd and I definitely recommend Thin Pan above the others. All are decent, but Thin Pan provides a better location, comparable pricing and I believe better dishes all around. Lately I have noticed that the staff have been getting busier and busier during the lunch hour. If I don’t get there early enough or if it gets too busy the staff isn’t that good at handling a full restaurant.

Location is the best part. Food and service are OK but be careful in their bar. The $ 3 bottles of Thai beer during HH were nice; however, they tried to charge us $ 20 for a drink of absinthe. Traditionally, that drink is served with a special spoon, dripping ice cold water through a sugar cube. They didn’t have either, so we settled on ice, simple syrup, and water for the drink. Even served the proper way, $ 20 would be a bit expensive, but this was very lame. They explained that it was made from a premium liquor which costs them $ 65 per bottle, but this explanation doesn’t hold much weight: the equivalent vodka martini with a $ 40/bottle vodka would be $ 12, too high for this level of restaurant. We tried to discuss with the manager, and the bartender gave us hard time that we should ask before we ordered(though I believe no one would expect $ 20 for this drink). Anyway, finally the manager charged us $ 15 instead, which is more reasonable. In short, if you want something besides their specials or beer and wine, go to a full service bar, or inquire about the pricing.

Continuing on my list of places I eat with a coupon — we stopped by Thin Pan this week. The only reason I eat at Thin Pan is because it’s close to my house and convenient when my husband is too lazy to cook on his night of the week. The food isn’t bad, but it’s definitely way overpriced for what you get. The coupon helps puts it in line with the rest of the Thai places in downtown Kirkland. This week, we had the Thin Pan Noodles and the Honey Beef. Thin Pan noodles are basically Pad Kee Mao at any other Thai restaurant you’ll eat at. The Honey Beef… is a ripoff. It’s 4 slabs of beef that doesn’t even come with rice. I hate places that charge you extra for rice. Service is pretty attentive, though it constantly feels like they’re trying to get you to order more food. Are you sure you don’t want an appetizer? Are you sure you don’t want some rice? Are you sure you don’t want dessert? This is how people get fat! Let me eat my one main entrée in peace. If you’re not within walking distance like me — there’s only street parking which is fine during the winter time, but as soon as the sun comes out — you’ll be driving up and down Lake street trying to find a place to park.
