I have been coming here for over a year and feel bad I am just now writing this review. For the area the food is good. I normally get a bento box with some form of roll. All the bento boxes have a lot of food. The miso soup is great! One of the main reasons I come here is the staff. They are super friendly and attentive. I always have a great experience. When we come down for lunch we are normally in and out in about 30 minutes. Food always hot and fresh. If you want to go get here fast. Due to the construction at Kirkland Park Place they have to close. I hope they move to a new location!

BEST sushi I’ve ever had. The Volcano roll was beautiful, vibrant, and most importantly, flavorful. I’ve just started eating raw sushi, finally venturing outside of California rolls. And this was ideal for that leap. Wish I’d taken a picture, but I was too busy eating! Coming back a few more times before they close down… Starting with my birthday get-together this week :) Need my friends to appreciate this artistic cuisine before it’s gone!

They’re closing soon! Due to redevelopment of the area :( Rikki Rikki has been here a while, and you can tell by the old-school wallpaper, the flooring, etc. But the spot is actually really good for lunch, and it’s really the only decent sushi place in kirkland. The executive bento was actually really filling, but I wouldn’t say the most fresh. The tempura veggies and shrimp tasted soggy when I tried them, rather than being crunchy. The sushi rolls are pretty simple, with nothing out of the ordinary: california rolls, seattle roll(sushi, cream cheese), etc. They also offer teriyaki, which I think takes the focus away from the sushi since they are trying to serve a larger group of people. I wouldn’t recommend this place above other sushi places, such as Oto(which is a few miles away in Redmond), but if you’re in the area, it’s worth a try. Sadly, they’ll be closing in a few months.

This has been my go to sushi place on the Eastside for 10+ years. I was so sad to hear they would be closing their doors along with the rest of the Kirkland park place in February. I figured I would get a couple more meals in before we were forced to say goodbye. Stopped in this week and was incredibly disappointed to see they are phasing out their menu so there is VERY limited food available. I asked for specific rolls that I’ve been eating there for years and they were no longer available. Couldn’t even get a basic staple like California rolls or hamachi. This isn’t the rikki Rikki I’ve loved for so long so I am so sad to give them such a low rating because it surely isn’t deserving of what they’ve brought for so long but because of their limited menu and lack of variety that’s what it is now. My advice is if you are a Rikki Rikki lover, don’t stop by to say your farewells. Remember your last meal there fondly.

My family stopped in for a late dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was fresh and service was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to return.

We used to come here years ago when we lived in the area. I was in the neighborhood so I thought I’d give my old favorite sushi restaurant a visit. Boy I was I SHOCKED to see what has happened to Kirkland Park Place. Most of the shops are abandoned with a big construction fence around the building. Apparently. Kirkland Park Place is getting a BIG facelift(Kirkland Urban) next Spring and Rikki Rikki is closing their doors in February. Soo soo sad. Rikki Rikki has a 25+ plus year history of delicious, fresh sushi served with the friendliest staff in Kirkland. We have shared many a birthday, anniversary, work celebration, etc at this landmark of Kirkland. Please stop by and pay them a visit before their doors close for good. I wish them all the luck in the world… and HOPEFULLY they will choose to find a new home in Kirkland.

Hadn’t been in many years. Still as good as ever. Sushi and Sashimi are fresh. Also a nice wide variety for such as bentos, cod, udon etc. for those in your party who aren’t in the mood for sushi. Finally — kid friendly! Thanks Rikki Rikki!

Came here on my break from work for lunch. I tried their spicy teriyaki chicken… they just put Sriracha sauce on top. Probably should have chosen something else. I might come back to try another dish and update this review, but I’m loyal to Momoya Sushi across the freeway from them. Only reason I came down that way was because Momoya was on vacation. My friend got the beef bowl and wasn’t really impressed either. They may need to switch up their lunch menu.

Riki Riki is one of our staples in Kirkland. When we are in the mood for sushi or really good Japanese food, we come here. The nigiri sushi is always fresh, and the other Japanese dishes are pretty authentic. Only thing is the price. It is expensive, but most good Japanese restaurants are. If it’s cheap I would be cautious. Definitely a recommend for anyone looking for good Japanese food.

lunch food: chicken katsu. you cant really screw up fried goods. the chicken was moist and crunchy. it comes with some pickled vegetables and broccoli. i dont care for the katsu sauce, heavy on the Worcestershire it seems. i like them a bit sweeter. ***3/5 service: the lady that served us was nice, but she doesnt seem too friendly. we got everything we needed so thats whats important. ***3/5 value: the portion is fair. i was plenty full after. typical pricing for me. i dont know the area well, but from the south end its average. not somewhere i will drive to, but if in the area, its an option. ***3/5

Overpriced in every angle. This place charges you 1.95 $ for each tea. The soup contains low quality dark meat chicken and two pieces of vegetables. We are not coming back ever.

Pretty good sushi for Kirkland. If your in the area, their happy hour is great! If you have time… go to Seattle for better sushi. Just being honest

Decent sushi, even better atmosphere Rikki Rikki’s has been around for ages. Having not had sushi in quite a while and it being Seattle restaurant week I thought I would make my way down to Rikki Rikki’s for some sushi. As part of Seattle restaurant week Rikki’s was offering three courses for $ 30 which is a great deal. While there is a limited selection for the three courses there is something for everyone and the regular menu is still available. My first course choice was the salmon Nambunzuke, my second course was the chef’s choice, and for dessert I had the cheesecake. In addition I ordered the dynamite roll which consists of tempura shrimp and spicy tuna possibly my favorite combination, and added tobiko(roe.) When I asked for the tobiko our server actually asked whether I wanted it inside or on top of the roll in all my years of sushi not once have i been asked such. On that mater our waitress, she was really great for the most part. Her timing and interaction was good and subtle. Not only starting with waters giving us enough time to choose a beverage and the same for each courses. As well as appropriately placing plates as we had a small table but several dishes. The only problem was when asked to have a few pieces boxed up before dessert, she took«everything» including the share plate which I was clearly still using. Anyway back t the food. The salmon was something i ad not tried before. It was three pieces of fried salmon, in a sweet vinaigrette with cucumber and daikon. Although I liked the overall dish but I wish the salmon was warm, or freshly fired, it would not only have retained it’s crispiness but also add an element if warmth to contrast the cold salad. As for the entrée, first came the miso soup and salad that was part of the chef’s choice option. The salad was the standard Asian salad with ginger dressing that is served practically everywhere. Which I was fine with as it was prepared fairly well, but the dressing was leaning on watery, although I tend to like a fairly thick dressing. The miso soup was good but fairly average. Not too salty or anything, but I wouldn’t have wanted a second bowl. More than anything though it needed to be warmer. Just in time the dynamite roll arrived. While it looked great like most other rolls with the same components, it wasn’t the best. While the spicy tuna was great, spicy and chopped so much that it wasn’t complete paste. As for the tempura shrimp it definitely could have been fresher the whole point is to have that crunch which was not as prominent as it should have been. The rice and seaweed were also not as fresh, the seaweed was chewy rather than having that nice snap and the rice was beginning to turn to mush. As for the actual chefs choice platter, it was similar, good but not great. The California roll was far above average with fresh crab, but like the dynamite, had chewy seaweed and sub par rice. As for the sashimi and nigiri it was all good and fresh but the knife cuts were poor. Last but not least the cheesecake. The cheesecake itself was good not the best crust. However is was a simple berry sauce which I really wanted more, or some fresh berries. Even though the food wasn’t perfect Rikki Rikki’s as a whole is. Not only do they have a fairly spacious amount of seating but the typical sushi bar that comes with sushi restaurants as well as an actual bar. Despite not having the highest quality sushi, Rikki Rikki’s hits most of the notes and with a selection of standard as well as specialty choices plus the vibrant atmosphere, despite the few flaws, Rikki Rikki’s if nothing else, is great for groups or a get together.

Wow excellent service and sushi ! We had stopped in at the lunch rush and where seated fast and served fast. Try the brown rice tea it is outstanding ! We ordered Cali roll $ 7.95 w/real snow crab you add an additional $ 2.50 but it is worth it. We also had the Poke bowl $ 10.95, sockeye salmon sashimi $ 9.75 and the Chef Choice Sashimi selection $ 23.95. Everything was top notch and will visit again next time I am in the area ! Very good !

4-stars only for Happy Hour, or if you’re not that price sensitive. 3 stars for value on the non Happy Hour menu. So I’m rounding up overall. Super service in the bar with friendly bartenders. Decent medium-sized Happy Hour menu. Not huge but not tiny. The potstickers and caramel chicken are a great deal, rolls are about worth the Happy Hour Price but overpriced outside of Happy Hour. Everything else is good and a decent value. Sushi is good(not superb) quality here but price is about as high as it gets. Interior is a little funky(some say outdated) but I would say pleasant and service in the dining room is good. They have the private Tatami rooms too. I’m giving it a «shaky» 4 stars. If they increased cut size on the sushi or offered a little bit lower priced combos it would be solid 4 stars. But unfortunately the rating can’t just be for the bar.

My review is for a lunch meal. I went in by myself to this restaurant during the week, and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was to sit at the bar with my book. The sushi chefs greeted me and then thanked me when I left, but left me to my devices. The waitstaff was friendly and fast! I had the executive bento box which was the perfect blend(and right portions for this dieting girl) of teriaki, sushi, and tempura. Tempura was perfectly crispy, not soggy, and the sushi was cut well. Nice find in Kirkland!

Rikki Rikki is a mystery to me. And it’s hard to hate on it because the service is so friendly. However, my objective review on Rikki Rikki is as follows: * Very mediocre sushi * Overpriced, even for Kirkland * Nigiri is ridiculously overpriced, especially when priced per piece($ 3.50/piece avg.) * Funky and OUTDATED décor * Plenty of parking in a dying outdoor retail center * Friendly service The name, the ambiance, the retail center it’s in. doesn’t inspire confidence in getting authentic sushi or Japanese cuisine. Sadly, I think the very friendly and professional staff is oblivious to this.

Late review, but I came during restaurant week. Compared to a lot of other options, this isn’t the best bang for your buck, but they are very gracious with their portions. Sake Steamed Clams — 3⁄5. Plenty of clams that are steamed and have a slightly salty taste to them. I’m not sure how the sake played a role, but these were tasty! I’d recommend the ceviche if you’re not looking to have clams. Sashimi /Nigiri — 4⁄5. Honestly, I thought that they’d skimp here, but the cuts were of good quality and there was a good quantity of them as well. My guess is that this alone would cost anywhere from $ 20 — $ 25. Paired with the clams and cheesecake, this was their best entrée main! Japanese Pumpkin Cheesecake — 4⁄5. Let’s get this straight. I HATE pumpkin pie, something about that mushy texture just tastes wrong. HOWEVER, this Japanese pumpkin cheesecake is a lot firmer and on the less sweet side. Perfect for my preferences, but if you’re a sweet tooth — probably not the choice for you.

Do you like amazing Happy Hour and friendly service? Come get some at Rikki Rikki. As far as sushi goes I love Rikki Rikki, but it’s been a Kirkland staple for so long in Park Place that I kind of forgot it existed. I’ve been trying other places and went off eating sushi for a little while, but I had to come back because I do love the stuff. So one night on impulse we decided to go into Rikki Rikki a little late in the evening and just see we could still get sushi and have a couple of drinks. I remembered why I love this place. The sushi is great. Ask them what is on special, it’s sure to be fresh and delicious. The Happy Hour is even better. They have these amazing Bulgoki Beef Buns, tasty Honey Walnut Shrimp and the Spider Roll and Dynamite Roll are a must. The Bar Service is top notch. I used to go in when there was someone else working there and I don’t even really remember anything that stood out about that service, but the first time I came back Adam was the Bartender/Server and he was excellent. Every time I go back now I make sure it is when Adam is working, he’s excellent; he knows his stuff, he’s fun to chat with and HEREMEMBERSYOU! I know… it’s the little things. Ever been on a Tuesday night? They have awesome Salmon specials, 4 salmon nigiri for $ 4. What? Yes. 4 George Washingtons, that’s all. I highly recommend checking it out, sit in the bar and watch a game and relax with some miso soup and sashimi!

Came for Seattle Restaurant Week Enjoyed the poke at the start. served in a martini glass, so very 80s. A nice combo of sour salty and seafood with the creamy avocado. Surf and Turf entrée was good, though the steak seemed a bit raw for medium rare. A bit chewy, but not bad. The lobster was drenched in some kind of sauce that I couldn’t really figure out. It was nice since it was already pulled out of the shell. The orange ginger sorbet was a perfect dessert ending, bright and clean. Love the warmth of ginger in a cold dessert. Tried my friend’s green tea tiramisu which was nice. It had lots of cream with a hint of green tea
