I found Dr. McAllister and his staff to be very professional, educated, helpful, and encouraging. His medical assistant, Rebecca was always available to speak with about any concerns or questions I had through my total knee replacement and recovery. Dr. McAllister and his physician’s assistant, Jeff, also made themselves available to me when I needed them. I never felt rushed by Dr. McAllister, never felt he was being dismissive to me or my concerns, and always felt confident that he would take care of me to the best of his very competent abilities. I had my total knee replacement exactly 2 weeks ago, and I already went to work yesterday for a half day. No knee replacement is fun, but if you need to have one I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. McAllister. The methodology he uses includes computer assisted and minimally invasive techniques which result in a much smaller scar, no cut tendons or muscles (they instead are spread apart to allow for the smaller instruments) and a much quicker recovery.
As far as Dr McAllister’s alleged «talking down» to his assistant, I never witnessed anything like that and all of his staff seem to adore him, and several made the point of telling me so when he was out of the room.

The doctor was very smug and dismissive. I will never go to him again. I have a family history of knee joint problems and I went to him to ask if there is any preventative measure I can take. He just laughed at me for being concerned. He talked down to his assistant as well.
