Great sushi — reasonably priced. It hit the spot for me and my fiancé that found this place on our leisurely walk through the little Plaza. I was so excited when they had $ 3 Udon plates(just like Japan’s Sushiro! haha) and loved the selection that was already on their belt. Would highly recommend this sushi restaurant for casual outings with friends and family! Will definitely be back often since it is close to where I work.

Great for a quick meal! $ 1.75 each plate if you eat during lunch hours. Don’t expect top of the line sushi off the sushi-go-round, but you can order yummy menu items separately that come out piping hot and delicious… like the calamari or chicken Katsu. The staff is great, super friendly, and very prompt.

So I’m rating this place 4 stars, and people may think what? it’s conveyor belt sushi, and they will be right. However, you have to see things from my perspective. Simply put sushi restaurants have different classes, ranging from Kabuto in Las Vegas(completely custom menu each day), to Otto(more standard menu, sit down), to conveyor belt places. Of the conveyor belt places that I have been to, this place is the best. There’s plenty of parking around — you just have to look for it, and there is an amazing coffee shop just across the way also(2 actually as the Starbucks has the evening menu of wine). The food is fast, fresh, and crisp. Not to mention you can simply tell the waiter what you want and they will make it for you in a timely professional manner that a sit down place has. The lunch special is really well priced. I normally order off the menu when I visit — getting things like seared salmon or eel and have no trouble getting them. The seats could use some work — I tend to sink in when I sit down, but understand this is a quiet sushi place. You go there for sushi and some miso soup, not for a full on relaxing experience(as you can do that at the coffee shops across the way). Anyways, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Kirkland.

Staff was friendly. Sushi was pretty mediocre. I’ve had better in the Sushi case at Fred Meyer. Miso soup was good. Menus were drab and sticky. Next time my friend suggests sushi I’m going to recommend we go someplace else.

I come here for the convenience and friendly staff. The quality of sushi could be slightly better. Maybe 3 out of 5 stars on quality. But everything I’ve had has been delicious. Tony is a smiley friendly server who makes the experience worth the stop.

This place has some of the best customer service I’ve ever been too. Extremely friendly, always checking in, and providing great suggestions as well. And the sushi was one of my favorite places to go. The wide variety was a plus! I will always suggest this place to my friends and family!

Haven’t tried many«belt» sushi places but I am a huge fan of sushi and work at a sushi place, but the sushi was surprisingly good, especially for the price! Went during lunch time so everything on the belt is only $ 1.75. I got three things off the belt, the Kirkland roll and the Lion King, everything was good. I really liked the Lion King roll because it’s different from what I’ve experienced to be a Lion King roll. If I was hungry and didn’t want to spend much on sushi, I would definitely come here again.

I love this place and the guy that is at the front door is so friendly and he has the greatest personality and makes you smile and want to come back. Plus the sushi is YUMMY!

Yesterday I went to aa Sushi on a whim and was happy with what I found. The service was very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. I watched my options go around the belt a few times before I made a decision on what I wanted, and one of the chefs stopped by to see if I wanted him to make anything. I was just being slow as I’m still learning my sushi and I told him as much. The waiter was very attentive to everyone there and seemed to make everyone feel welcome and like they belonged. The only downside to this visit was the testing they were doing on the alarm systems. It made for a very jumpy meal! Everyone seemed to be in light spirits though so all was well. Loved it and will be back soon!

Love this place to death! Great conveyor belt prices on happy hour lunch! $ 1.75 for quality sushi in good quantity. Plus you can’t beat the friendly staff. They remember us when we walk in and always say something along the lines of «See you next week!» In a witty way that does make us want us to come back next week. They make you feel like your dining experience matters and do everything they can to accommodate.

If I want sushi but don’t want to go far or pay a bunch I’ll go here. It’s decent, there’s definitely some things I will never order here like the nigiri sushi. On the cheaper end of the conveyor style sushis but still pretty good. However, their waiter asks for my number every time I’m in there which is annoying.

This is probably the worst and cheapest quality sushi I’ve ever had. That statement includes Asian buffets. I admit I felt no little trepidation when I pulled off items off of the belt that contained raw fish. That is if I could find any rolls with fish in them. Fortunately, I guess the fish was fresh enough. Or maybe I didn’t get enough. There is very little variety and most items are lacking in fish and creativity(especially during lunch). Despite the lack of quality, we’ve been here twice in one week. Why? This was my son’s birthday lunch request(he loves sushi boat places) and they have a really cheap lunch special where everything is the same price(now you know why any quality fish rolls are lacking for lunch). The cheap lunch special and the friendliness of the service is what gets them the second star. I’m hoping my kids don’t ask to go back. I can always bribe them with pizza.

Sushi is like 3 stars, it’s not mindblowing-you-can-taste-the-wild-caught-Alaskan-Salmon mind-blowing, but it’s a pretty gentle sushi buffet dinner for your wallet. Total price for me for a salmon roll, egg wrapped roll, and two special rolls came to just under $ 10, which isn’t too bad to me. They also have cake pops amongst the plates. However the additional one star is for the service. Service is spectacular. Tony(waiter? Manager? Overall nice dude?) was super attentive and extremely nice. My friend was a regular at the place and Tony recognized him instantly. Although it is a restaurant in a somewhat high end neighborhood, it gave a feel of a your local hometown joint . As for the actual review of the sushi– rice is nicely cooked. Materials are inconsistent I suppose– a roll had canned tuna in it(clearly) but the unagi rolls are tasty. Overall, if you had regular expectations, you shouldn’t be surprised or disappointed by the food. Also, wasabi is not at all hyper spicy. Definitely toned down, but the texture is beautiful and almost thicker than usual. I love it. It tastes a bit sweeter too. So don’t worry if you accidentally lopped a huge part of it into your little plate. Definitely 4 stars for being a restaurant with great service despite mediocre rolls.(Their special rolls though, at $ 3.50 a plate which is about 4 pieces, is actually pretty tasty. But a regular roll like salmon… Meh). Would come back.

Quick and cheap sushi. Conveyor belts sushi has become wildly popular over the past several years. While some places dominate the field for whatever reason each restaurant adds their own spin. aa sushi while not necessarily anything special or different does it right and has staked their claim. The difference between a conventional sushi restaurant and a conveyor belt restaurant is the swap of quality and quantity. At aa sushi while there is a small menu of available items, there isn’t much ordering you simply sit and when something interesting or familiar comes by just grab it. While everyone;s preference of sushi is is different the colors within the stack of plates will vary. Although each color represent a different priced item, but during happy hour most items are only 1.75 However as nice as it is to have a train of various sushi items continuously coming towards the table, some of these items have been rotating the belt for who knows how long. Which is why it is nice that you can still order any item that is not on the belt. In fact hot items like, miso, tempura or gyoza do not come on the track and have to be ordered The biggest advantage to aa sushi is not the fact that that you can have so much and a variety for that matter. But rather than having to commit or decide on a single sushi roll which is usually six or 8 pieces most are only two or three at aa so deciding on only one option is eliminated, should a particular piece of sushi not be to one’s liking there is more to come. Although aa sushi may lack quality they compensate in in quantity and variety. Indeed i prefer quality every time aa sushi is great for quick bite or sushi craving especially with a group.

Very expensive for conveyor belt sushi. We went at 7 and it was completely empty. Ok as a whole but way too expensive for what it was. Pros: great staff and customer service. They were nice about making stuff to order. Clean establishment. Cons: too expensive! Cold sushi that had been sitting on the belt for who knows how long. It wasn’t a terrible experience but I wouldn’t go back.

I’ve walked by aa Sushi plenty of times and finally stopped in for a quick lunch with some coworkers to try their lunch special — $ 1.75 all plates on the conveyor belt(they regularly range from $ 1.50-$ 3). Service was pretty quick, but I think it’s because we gave off the vibe we were on a time crunch(short lunch break!). We sat down, and I grabbed 3 plates within a few minutes — a salmon nigiri and two rolls and was full. The quality and size of the plates were pretty average for conveyor belt sushi but for the price, it wasn’t bad! I made sure to get two purple plates, normally $ 3, so I got a good value for what I actually paid :) The waiter was really friendly and asked when we’d be back again, and said we should come back at least once a week, haha. Normally I’d probably just give a place like this 3 stars, but for their decent lunch special price and friendly service, I’ll bump it up to 4. We were in and out within 15 min, and I spent less than $ 6 for lunch. Not bad, I’ll be back for lunch the next time I need a quick, cheap sushi fix :)

Stopped by a few more times because the chatty cashier made me feel like a welcome regular and I like being able to pick items from a conveyor belt… but the nigiri was just not great and the prices are too high for the quality. The last time I stopped by was for lunch because they advertise cheap lunch plates, but I quickly learned that they didn’t have anything I liked on the conveyor belt. I figured I could just order the items I wanted because some other conveyor belt places let you do that and still pay lunch prices, but that was unfortunately not the case here. I guess it’s still an okay spot so I’m sticking with 3 stars… but I have a «never eat here again» goal.

This place gave me some SERIOUS stomach issues. I eat sushi all the time and never have issues. I stopped in here on a whim on the way through Kirkland. It was not busy and the sign outside said«lunch special». First, the sign has a different price per roll than the menu which is also different than the signs on the wall, so I really wasnt sure what price I was paying per plate. This was confusing and I did not like it. As a consumer I want to know up front and clearly what I am paying. I was offered miso soup, which I thought was included as it is at most Sushi places. When I was rang up I learned it was not included. The one server working was a very nice, but is it odd to say, a little over the top to the annoying point? When I was checking out he said«So, you will be back every week now?». I told him I lived in Olympia so he said, «So, you be back every month!». When he brought me a coke instead of a diet coke he kept bowing and apologizing to me. Once would have been appropriate or ok, I dont really need to be bowed to, but over and over it happened and it made it awkward. The rolls themselves were ok. I saw several rolls go around and around and around and around, so I am sure that is where my stomach issues came in. God only knows how long they had been sitting out. I usually watch the chef and pick up what he is placing down so I know they are fresh but the chef at this place hardly put anything new down, as if he was waiting for us customers to eat what was out there first even though there wasn’t much and the plates out there looked older and not very interesting. 15 – 20 minutes after leaving I was visiting the porcelain god intermittently for a half hour. NOT good.

We went in for a late lunch, and there weren’t too many plates running on the conveyor belt. The super friendly waiter gave us a sushi list and told us to pick which ones we would like to order, pointing out the ones that fall under the $ 1.75 deal. I really liked the fact that the sushi chef was preparing our choices fresh for us. The quality of the fish was much better than I was expecting for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. They had good flavor and texture — not the bland, thawed out slivers I have experienced in other places. Their spicy tuna roll was especially good — my husband got his spicy tuna as a hand roll(not $ 1.75), and he enjoyed it, as well. The salmon and rainbow rolls were also good. We also paid a bit more for the spider roll, and the soft shell crab was fresh and nicely crisp. Next time, I’ll skip the avocado rolls and cucumber rolls(the rice was rather gummy), and the octopus and unagi were not the greatest. Also, our bill increased quite a bit from the miso soup and green tea around the table, which we are used to having included in sushi restaurants. Now that we know they are a la carte here, I think we won’t be as surprised by the bill on our next visit.

This was my first experience with a sushi train! I’d previously been a bit suspicious of it in case there were uneaten dishes that went around for hours, but we came here to try the lunch special($ 1.75 all plates) and it was great! There was a pretty decent crowd of people, and definitely enough to keep the sushi on the belt fresh. We were also seated next to the bit where the chef was making fresh sushi in front of us, so we could ask him directly about the sushi(it was kind of hard to track what things were on the menu before they went away!). He also made us some specials that weren’t coming around on the belt that we wanted when he heard us talking about them, which was really cool. He recommended a few combinations and also made it clear when things weren’t going to be belt prices, which I appreciated. Service was friendly, albeit a bit slow. There were two tables across from us where the customers left and their dirty dishes were left there for over 10 minutes. I think there was only one waitstaff on duty for the whole restaurant, and with the layout of the restaurant they could probably have done with two or more. Even though it was obvious he was super busy, he took the time to chat with the customers, and made sure that they were doing okay and had full teacups and water glasses. The prices were insanely good. It was under $ 10 for each of us including tax and tip. While this place isn’t anything super fancy, it’s great to catch a quick and cheap lunch. I definitely recommend this place!
