I am writing this review as Im waiting on line. Been waiting 5 minutes to place an order for a bagel. People are coming in that are regulars and they are getting the service. The girls are rude especially the young girl with the blond hair. I left and went to McDonalds.

Awesome bagels! Surprising to find some of these round goodness this far out from ny but they were pretty good. Sandwiches are great as well. Not sure if I could find better bagels than this out here…

This is the absolute best bagel place! I live in Bergen County and have been going all the way to Kinnelon to stock up on the goodies, so you can imagine how exceptional their bagels are. :-) Everyone’s so friendly and even though the place is usually packed, the service doesn’t take too long, which is great. Whenever I’m in the store, I always make sure to get one of their totally amazing non-bagel lunch sandwiches as well — I highly recommend the grilled chicken sandwich or the downtown Philly cheese steak; and from the salad selection, the(Asian?) chicken salad and the grilled chicken salad with avocado is to die for! Yum!

Up and down with this place. The bagels seem to have improved and when I am the family member who picks up the bagels the service is good. When my wife is the one to go the service is spotty at best. I guess they recognize me… Now they have ruined one of the staples of my weekend bagels. The whitefish spread. Whitefish spread is a basic thing. Mashed up whitefish with just a hint of vegetable oil to make it spreadable. Simple. Easy. Hard to screw up. Why Kinnelon Bagel decided to turn it in to a whitefish salad is beyond me. Celery and onion do not belong in whitefish spread but this is exactly what they have done. It makes no sense. If I wanted a fish salad on my bagel I would make tuna salad at home and not pay $ 25.00 a pound!!!(we buy a ¼ pound). It tastes like mashed onion, no whitefish flavor can make it through the onion. If there was another option I would simply stop going here.

I’ve given this place quite a few chances because the first time I went, I really enjoyed it. However, the second time, they called my name and placed a bag down. I got all the way home and realized that I received the wrong order and was so annoyed. I should have checked it before I left but I didn’t think I had to do that since my name was called and I took that bag. Today was probably the last time I’ll come here. I ordered Taylor ham and cheese, and there were literally 2 small pieces of Taylor ham which only filled half the roll(see picture). I was still hungry after I finished, and I’m always stuffed after eating Taylor ham. If they’re going to charge almost 5 dollars for it, then they need to pick up the slack on their sandwiches.

They seem so disorganized. So chaotic every time we go in there. They messed up our order, again, today; by the time we get it home and discover that, it’s no use going back. We’ve been charged for missing items, had salad today that was missing ingredients, sometimes you go in there on a weekend morning and all the coffee pots are empty, etc. etc. etc. Try somewhere else.

BEWARE if you have ALLERGIES!!! My daughter has a severe dairy allergy. The last two times I was in there I mentioned this to the person taking my order both times there was cream cheese on the bagel!!! Their response was oh sorry amd a shoulder shrug.

Stopped here after getting my nails done next door, figured just grab something quick so I can get on with my errands. Probably the worst thing I did. I asked for a toasted bagel with vegetable cream cheese. Well the bagel was not toasted but burnt. The vegetable cream cheese was barely even on the bagel and what was on there had barely any vegetables. It looked like it only had one vegetable in it and was not very tasty. They were not busy when I went in but test not one table was wiped down. It had boxes in the way of the refrigerators with drinks and all in all was not the cleanest looking place. The woman behind the counter was very nice but had enough perfume to make me lose my appetite.

Overpriced and takes forever! Wraps are small and not worth the money, bagels are the same… Go to G&A instead.

Used go head to head with G&A’s as the best bagel in town. In recent years G&A’s has faded and now this is my go to. Always satisfied and the owner /staff are friendly and helpful.

Food is good. But the service here is horrendous and very uncoordinated. If you don’t mind waiting 15 minutes for your sandwich this is the place to go. The women who work behind the counter disregard the customer.

I went to Kinnelon Bagels during the week around lunch time. It wasn’t crowded and there was only one person ahead of me who already ordered. Thankfully I wasn’t in a rush because the cashier didn’t bother to even look my way for over five minutes. You would think she could at least say, «I will be right with you» but instead continued to talk to another worker about the price of a sandwich. Aside from poor customer service, the bagels are the worst I’ve ever had.

New Jersey has the best bagel shops anywhere and kinnelon bagels are on the top of the list for sure! Their bagels are made fresh everyday and come in a wide variety of choices. From the everything to whole wheat to cinnamon rasin there’s a bagel for everyone. The even have gluten free options as well. This is an excellent spot to grab a quick breakfast. Other than the bagels they serve all different kind of breakfast sandwiches eggs. Egg whites. Sausage bacon Taylor ham some of the options. The service always comes with a smile and they staff are attentive and nice. They are also open for lunches. All different kinds of fresh meats and cheeses to make deli sandwiches soups and hot food as well. For me the lunch items are average. Not great but not bad. I recently had a soup and it was a little of a let down it smelled better than it tasted. Hot items are good The inside is nice. Some tables if you wish to eat in. They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from in their refrigerator cases. Overall a wonderful nj bagel shop would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back

Ordered soup– Apparently I have an old menu because it’s $ 4.25 for a SMALL soup. Manager claimed it was 16 oz but it was not even 12oz when I measured it. Didn’t even have any flavor. Never ordering from here again

Rude counter women not wearing gloves and take cash with same hands. Gross! Oh, and if you pay by credit card be ready to order something else because their minimum is higher than dozen of bagels. Avoid this filthy place!

Literally stood there for 10 minutes. No one greeted me. No one even looked at me. Just wanted to pay for a water bottle. I was also the only other person in there besides one woman. Who everyone seemed to be talking to. Very rude. That was my first time in there too… First impressions do make a difference.

So, there’s another bagel spot I usually stop at but I haven’t been to kinnelon bagels in a while. Figured why not? I order an easy Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a poppy seed with, wait here comes the important part… double meat. Now don’t get me wrong the bagel was good and fresh and my daughter’s cream cheese on bagel was good for her too. But when you ask for double meat on your bagel I would expect the meat to make it to the edge of the bagel. I felt like the where’s the beef commercial from the 80s. I wound up having more bagel than anything. Is it too much to ask for something you pay for? Too bad I didn’t realize this until we got home. Ah well, back to my usual place…

Keep in mind that I’m a NYer as I write this. This is one of the best bagel places I frequent and yes they are based in NJ. You can get your usual bagels and some that can only be found in the best bagel places including the French Toast Bagel. The place is always busy and slammed on the weekends, but it’s always worth the wait. And if you want the full Jersey experience, order the Taylor Egg, Ham and Cheese on a roll(or obviously a bagel).

The nearby G&A bagel shop seems to be very popular, but if you want something close to genuine bagels, Kinnelon Bagel is the place to go. They know that a quality bagel isn’t a huge, round piece of bread(as you will find nearby) It should be dense and chewy. Kinnelon bagel knows what a bagel should be. Far from the best I’ve ever had, but it is head and shoulders above the other local bagel shops.
