I used to love this place but it went down hill and I believe it’s because they have new owners. They use to load up your sandwich with meat but now they are stingy and put only three slices like its subway. Super disappointed

Mmmm, one of the best bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches I’ve ever had and I’ve had my fair share of breakfast sandwiches. Definitely will be making this my new go-to spot for hangover treats!

The chicken salad on a roll with roasted red peppers is AMAZING. But seriously anything you get in this place is 5 stars. I’m from out of town, and I make sure I come here at least one time every trip. 24 hours. Thanks G&A!

Came in this morning for breakfast. Very little parking. Gotta make your stop quick or else you’ll end up with someone parking so tight to you, you won’t be able to open your door. Anyways, the inside seems kind of dirty. Definitely not the cleanest breakfast stop I’ve been too. The floor was pretty nasty and they left the two entrance doors open so there were some gnats flying around. The Taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich I got was excellent. A decent amount of Taylor ham cooked very well with an over hard egg and two slices of American cheese. The everything bagel I got it one was tasty, but lacked a the copious amounts of toppings that usually come on an everything bagel.

G & A’s is awesome! First off, their open 24 hours a day, everyday! When I mean everyday, I mean EVERYDAY! I called to find out if they were open Christmas morning to get bagels and the guy told me that they never close. Even in inclement weather, those guys are open. The bagels are always good! They have everything you would expect from a bagelry. I happen to think they make the best Taylor Ham(pork roll for you south Jersey peeps), egg and cheese bagel sandwhich. By the way, bagels taste even better late night. Not only is G & A’s a bagel place they’re a bakery… So let’s back up a sec here, okay. Their open 24 hours a day… … AND they’re a bakery. «So are you trying to tell me it’s a 24 hour bakery?» In the words of Heisenberg, «You’re damn right.» Okay, enough with the jokes. On a real note the bakery is pretty good. The Italian pastries are decent, and the cakes are spot on. There’s been multiple occasions where I looked like a rock star for bringing cakes or cookies to a late party when all the other bakeries are closed. Yep, G & A’s is a pretty official place.

This place makes some of my favorite New Jersey bagels. They’re open 24 hours. perfect for that drunken post-club bagel sandwich craving. During normal hours of the day you may notice a bit of a wait on Saturday mornings but that’s never fazed me. Their jalapeño bagel is a favorite of mine and I love the crispness of their bacon. They also make some tasty special sandwiches and have a deli counter. They have some baked goods but I haven’t yet tried any. There’s not much else that needs to be said. they make one of the best breakfast bagel sandwiches in the area!

Place is decent, nice that its open 24 hours. They have your typical bagels, sandwiches and even a bakery on site. They accept credit cards, with a $ 5 minimum. There are a few tables to enjoy your food, and service was quick and attentive.

Rude and poor management. After I got mad at them for messing up am order, twice the«manager“told me he can’t do anything about it. I said«are you f-ing kidding me?» He said«I don’t give a s-it, go f-ck yourself» and hung up on me. I work in a company who will never go there again. I have managed a bagel store, pizzeria and restaurant and wouldn’t dream of speaking to a guest like that! Even on my worst day! I wish there were zero stars.

Service was descent. Place was clean. Bagels were horrible. Hard and just bad. Chicken salad was bad. Bland and dry. Bacon was old and over cooked. Who ever is giving the Howard stern all these rave reviews. You must have never had a good sandwich. Place is way over rated. Be careful of those who give good reviews. Good luck

Nice place, good service. But after having consumed bagels for probably forty five of my fifty one years, I conclude that there are much better bagels elsewhere. These are big and bready, like big chewy rolls. In order to get them into the toaster, you have to perform chest compression on them. Good crunch at five in the morning and probably the best available in the immediate area. But best in the state? Not by a long shot.

I had the worst experience at G and A today July 11th2014. We stopped for breakfast 10:00, not an overly busy time. There were maybe 3 people who had already ordered sandwiches. I ordered a specialty omelet and my husband ordered a bologna sandwich. 25 minutes later our server came back to ask what kind of sandwich we had ordered. Neither was done! We left! We will never go back again.

I guess I’ll start with saying we call this place ol reliable. Yes, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad experience here. Yes parking gets tight when they’re busy but I’d park on the side of the highway to go in if I had to. Now, I have to say I’ve only had lunch here once and it was good but this review isnt for the lunch, it’s for the breakfast. I have always went with the heart attack which is Taylor ham, bacon, sausage, egg and cheese on garlic. When you get this sandwich, ur gonna say to yourself… Can I get a some bagel with this meat. You do not get short changed on meat whatsoever like some«other» bagel shops. Recently I’ve been going with Taylor ham egg and cheese double meat on poppy seed. Fantastic! Don’t pass this place up. It will probably turn into your very own ol’ reliable.

Best bagels in New Jersey. This place is the best. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week… even on Christmas! You have to get the Howard Stern. Onion bagel loaded with fresh chicken salad, bacon, and American cheese. Every time I come home for the holidays my brother and I immediately hop in the car and go to G & A’s. The owners are hard workers and it really shows. Parking is a bit hairy but get over it, this is Jersey :)

Passed by last nite for my 1st visit. Was very impressed by everything. The name is misleading as their offerings are much more than bagels. I had the Italiano panini(chicken, roasted red peppers, mozzarella & pesto,) which blew me away. Prices very reasonable for what you get. Choc covered strawberries for $ 1.50 a pop a real sleeper bargain. Bring them home to your lady. Also, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that the employees behind the counter are very polite, as well as the customers, too. Overall, I got a real good vibe from this place. I hope to get back soon. –Andrew Chaplowitz, First Class Limousine, LLC p. s. their potato salad tastes as good as it looks

I love G&A and always will. I grew up with the bagels and stuck with them through the multiple owners and the moments of hardship they faced. I think over time the quality of their hot bagel sandwiches has declined. I measure my bagel shops with the quality of their bacon, egg and cheese in particular. Unfortunately, I think G & A is at their low of lows… sure they are open late and the bagels are better than the round bread served at Kinnelon Bagels but they just don’t seem to have much consistency or processes in place. Some of the cooks overdo the salt and pepper some underdo it some put two pieces of bacon some load it up, you just never know what you’re going to get. Unfortunately I’ve noticed they’re kind of sloppy too, no napkins in the bag, sometimes no bag at all. Taylor ham instead of bacon and vice versa. The bagels are still good and chewy don’t get me wrong, they just need to work on becoming a more complete bagel shop and care a bit more.

OPENCHRISTMASDAY. That in itself was amazing because nothing else is. The bagels are amazing, especially with Taylor ham, egg and cheese. All the sandwiches are great, the people behind the counter are VERY patient with the drunks. Tip them please! They work crazy hours with crazy customers.

Bagels here are large and bready and very mediocre. If you enjoy the traditional NY style bagel, forget this place. Making round bread with a hole in it doesn’t make it a bagel. Other sandwiches can be good, but it depends on how much attention the cook pays. I’ve had Taylor Ham and cheese that was quite good and some where it was either barely cooked or burnt to a crisp.

I always have to drive the twenty minutes from my house to Butler for these inexpensive bagels. They’re always fresh, no matter what time of the day I go(opened twenty four hours!!). The service is friendly and they have so many flavors of bagels and cream cheese plus a ton of specialty sandwiches with cold cuts, breakfast meats, chicken salad, chicken cutlets, salads, and so on. A whole case of desserts, chips, and beverages too. Definitely a hidden treasure.

Okay this place does two things really well, the Howard stern and the Taylor ham egg n cheese. That being said… I feel they lack in consistency. The bagels are hit or miss. Sometimes I’ve had amazing bagels and sometimes they are dry and a little hard… I guess sitting out too long. The regular deli sandwiches are good not great, the honey mustard is actually pretty tight. Like I stated earlier, come here for one of two things. If you want something else you might want to try a different deli. I mean hey this is NJ there’s gotta be a deli every mile or two.
