You’re never going to dine in a better Long John Silver’s than this. The staff is always attentive and sometimes downright kind. I’ve often wondered how the people eating at a Long John Silver’s manage to get there — as there are never any cars in the parking lot but there are always a few people inside. Usually elderly people, who are either walking here from assisted-living facilities or dropped off by their personal care-giver as the care-giver gets the things she needs to get at K-Mart. Sometime you’ll see a single guy in there, or a woman who is wearing purple sweat pants, box-dye hair coloring, and an aroma of cats. One time, and only time, I saw two old women(again with no car) order coffees. How did they even know Long John’s had coffee? Had they come here to strictly have coffee? Did they just get done binge-watching Friends on Netflix, and just had to have their own little version of the Central Perk? I’ve eaten here many times, sometimes accompanied by my girlfriend, who insist the only people who like Long Johns are me and this great woman we used to work with Nancy. It was true me and Nance used to talk about how we could go for Long John’s, we think they have a good piece of fish — we don’t really care what the rest of you think. I always ring the bell, and embarrass whoever I’m with. Sometimes I’ll see an old man ring the bell and the old woman he’s with will give him that classic old lady smile and be like«Oh, Oswald you’ll never change.» If you feel like eating alone, in a sparse restaurant with hardly any other diners, this is the place to go: To get introspective with a piece of fish or chicken. Maybe a large jumbo sized Mountain Dew as you look out the window toward the junk yard.

Not much of a fish person but my family is and they some-what enjoy their fish. We are much bigger fans of their chicken(which is good), their fries(which are awesome), and their hush puppies(the best thing on the menu imo). It’s a nice little restaurant, Not bad if you wish to sit down and enjoy a meal but my family and I much prefer to take it home to eat because it can get crowded quickly due to it’s lack of size. We’ve been a few times, enjoyed it, and would recommend it.
