Not sure why so many people are leaving bad reviews. First time here and service was good food was delicious. Had no issues…

Attempted to make order, pushed button and got an ear piercing loud person out of the speaker. Could not understand them so asked them to come outside and when he came out I asked if he could just take my order and he refused saying I had to use the machine. Hopefully they get the order right.

Worst experience ever. The employees confused our order, made our sandwiches wrong, screwed up the bill, and didn’t even try to make it right. «Did you want me to take that back and add bacon? «we were asked about already unwrapped, partially eaten sandwhiches. No offer to make a new one, no offer of a free drink, just terrible, error-filled service and idiotic staff.

I have heard such good things about sonic, too bad none of them were true for my experience today. I live in LA so the closest one is about an hour away, but I made it down to this one on a trip to Sacramento. Not only did they mess up everything on our order and forgot multiple things, but they were RUDE. I get messing things up and forgetting things — no one is perfect — but to be rude on top of it? Inexcusable. I canceled most of my order besides a drink and snack I had already eaten/drank while waiting for them to resolve the issues(which took over 30 minutes). If I ever return to a sonic it will not be this one.

Totally dead when we showed up. Pit stop on our way north. It was about sunset and we sat on the patio. The service was fine and the food was good but the dessert was just ok. Very little toppings on my banana split. The tater tots were the best part of the visit. A little after sunset the neon lights turn on and people started showing up

After a long day of warp digivolving, I grew an appetite that only Sonic can satisfy. I go to one of the stalls and push the button and prepare to tell them my order. Nobody answered after 5 minutes. I tried again in a different stall. Nope. After another 10 minutes of button pushing I roared and flew away.

One of my biggest pet peeves about fast food is the fact that most employees won’t let you order without interrupting you. Here at Sonic we had to repeat everything 3 times to get the employee to understand. We ordered 2 #1’s, with tots, 1 Diet Coke and 1 Root Beer. We were interrupted 5 times while making this order! Seriously, listening is an important skill when working with the public! We are trying to communicate what we want, but when we are rudely interrupted while speaking, that is a poor reflection on the lack of management.

Great place for drinks. Food is somewhat on the average side. Happy Hour(2−4pm) is the perfect time to stop by for a sweet tea or a limeade, but be prepared to wait because the drive thru isn’t very speedy. Fun place to cruise to for an evening shake in the summer. Nice patio seating and they do keep it very clean.

Horrible service. Over charged during Happy Hour. Forgot half the order then gave us attitude when we asked them to correct it. They then got the new order incorrect too. Seriously? NEVERVISITINGAGAIN.

We come to Sonic for the sweet tea and occasionally a shake but that’s it. The service is usually pretty slow and the drive thru speaker is awful. I will be looking for a different place for sweet tea after going the other night. Terrible service. It was 8pm and there was no one in the drive thru line and the worker said it would be a 20 minute wait even after we said we just wanted drinks. They said they had to take care of other orders first even though the other orders were food and it takes 2 minutes to make a drink. I might have just let it go but the worker was very rude about it too.

I have given this Sonic location a shot a few times and each time the service has been mediocre at best. But in the last two weeks twice I have gone to get just a drink and have been told it would be a 15 – 20 minute wait because there were only two people working. That is enough to make me not want to go there anymore. If they are understaffed they need to hire or the need to staff shifts better.

Love this place. The drive thru machine sucks and i can never understand the employee through it but they always get my order right. I’m here 2 – 3 per week for drinks.

Good drinks, slow service and A-OK food. At least once in a while I always tend to drive here for the only reason is for Happy Hour and it never disappoints, quality in drinks may differ from location but Kingsburg is always on point. I rarely get food, only shakes and slushes. But this type I managed to get the new tossed boneless wings and it was A-OK. I admit I had better, is no Buffalo Wild Wings but get the job done, I try not to judge too hard on this type of places. Service was slow like always but our server was really nice, and smiled. Something every worker should do, but a natural smile not a Joker, getting ready to take a selfie fake smile type but it was cool. I rate this place 3.0

Went at 11:02pm on a weekday. We did not know they close at 11pm. We sat at a machine for 10 minutes. Music still playing. Had multiple employees walk by and NOONE told us they had closed at 11pm. We just left very disappointed in customer service. Two days later. Pulled up to a machine and received no response. Went to several other machines thinking the first was broken and still received no service. The lot was EMPTY so it was not a busy time. Waited over 15 minutes and gave up and left. Awful.

great food as usual. multiple items in our order were messed up, one item had to be remade twice, but they fixed our issues and gave us a free limeade token. we really appreciated their efforts!

Tater tots were not as fresh and crispy as they normally are, chicken tenders were fine, the burger was good… service was on the slower side, but whatever. Can’t complain for a Sonic.

This has to be the craziest experience at a fast food joint ever. First, I pulled up to the drive through and it took about 10 tries to get my drink order right. We were only looking for drinks to enjoy on the long ride back to LA. When I drove up to the window, I gave the cashier an extra penny so I could receive a quarter with my change. This completely threw her off. She came back 5 minutes later and ended up giving me an extra dollar. A few minutes later, I received my drinks and then asked the guy who gave me my drinks if there were any fruit stands that were open on Sundays. He said he would ask he coworkers. When he returned, he said he did not know of any stands. I then informed him that I received an extra dollar in my change. He took the dollar, and ran back into the kitchen. He then came back with a bag of the biggest nectarines that I have ever seen. My girlfriend says that they were really good. Back to the review. Drinks took a while to make, but they were made right. I would definitely revisit this Sonic. Super easy to get to and close to the freeway.

Road tripping down Route 99, us curious Bay Area natives were intrigued by the several Sonic signs that were sprouting on our trip and vowed to try it on our way through Kingsburg, CA. It’s late… 10PM, warm as hell and we’re tired and in the mood for food that has been so popularly advertised on our Bay Area televisions, only to learn the closest location maybe in Tracy. We park… review the drive-in menu several times before settling on tater tots and a root beer float. I’ve actually had better tater tots from the Safeway frozen food section, so no go on the tater tots. Sub-par at best. The root beer float was okay… more ice cream than root beer and on a balmy night like this… soda would have killed. The credit card contraption was useless, another point deduction… overall, I’ve satisfied my curiosity but am not a fan. However, I have to say, it is a very convenient location and it definitely was an experience to order from a car and have someone deliver it to me. And, as my friend put it, if we lived in Kingsburg, it looks like this Sonic would be the hang-out place to be if we were angry, emo-ed out tween-somethings. But, with In-N-Outs lining the same route… I would defer to some of Sonic’s other fast food competitors given the option.
