Nothing frilly about this place. Just a casual café with an excellent beach side location. You order your food at the counter and can take it to one of their tables or stride across the street to the beach and enjoy yourself a nice little picnic. The place itself is quite small. Menu is super difficult to read(or am I getting old!?) but they have little green menus up on the counter at the front you can read while waiting in line. They offer sandwiches, burgers, wraps and some breakfast options. We ordered the Local’s Breakfast(2 eggs [scrambled/fried], tater tots, and choice of meat [bacon/sausage], and toast) and the White Sando(smoked turkey, avocado, egg whites, pesto aioli sandwich). Pro tip– you can order«double meat» for the local’s breakfast if you can’t decide between bacon and sausage and want the best of both worlds. Each plate comes garnished with an orange slice, half a strawberry, and one blackberry. I think the White Sando was actually a really solid sandwich. I wished I had opted to have bacon added to the sandwich(I know, I know, it defeats the purpose of the healthiness) because it complements the other ingredients really well. I ended up stealing bacon from my boyfriend’s Local’s Breakfast plate and sticking it in my sandwich. Local’s Breakfast seems like a great option too — but you can’t really go wrong with eggs, bacon, toast and tater tots. They use the good kind of bacon too — like real bacon, not the shitty thin kind that is all crisp and no fatty goodness. They also have cholula and tapatio for your hot sauce needs.

I’m giving this place 5 stars based on the breakfast sandwich alone. It literally was perfect. The toast was perfect, the egg was perfect, the turkey was cooked perfectly. The ratios of each ingredient was perfect. Very friendly service as well. We ate these before a day of skiing and it kept us going until dinner.

The location is great, right across from the beach, with a perfect outdoor seating area. When I want a sunny meal by the beach at a reasonable price this is one of my goto cafes. Their menu is filled with traditional breakfast/lunch café options, but nothing«inspiring». Similarly, their espresso drinks are good but not great. Overall, I like eating here, and do often, but I go elsewhere when I want something more a bit more creative or healthy.

Great place. Dog friendly outdoor seating. Breakfast was cheap and good. I got the two eggs with tots and toast, it was pretty much exactly what you’d expect but that’s a good thing when it comes to a simple egg breakfast. Friendly service as well.

Small; seating for 3 or 4 groups inside and 3 tables for 2 outside. Beautiful view of lake. We had the Breakfast Tacos(tasty and lots of food for the price) and The White Sando(excellent). A no frills place but nice staff. Would come back.

Dropped in on the way up to squaw today. Picked up the white sando, an egg white, jack cheese, turkey and avocado sandy with pesto aioli. UN. REAL. SANDWICH. Must try. We liked it so much we were telling folks they had to stop in and try it out on every lift. Great spot!

Grabbed a white sando before heading for a day at Northstar! So yummmmmmy. Great combo of savory pesto, cheese and fresh, thinly sliced avocado. Coffee was great and my boyfriend enjoyed his XL breakfast burrito. Great little café to grab a quick breakfast.

I had the best breakfast burrito! Everything is freshly made. The homemade salsa is flavorful and just on the right side of spicy. Coffee is great and the people are friendly. Nice view of the lake too.

The food is amazingly delicious. We got a warm welcome as we walked. We didn’t wait long for our food. The coffee wasn’t strong enough and the sitting is very limited, a point taken off for that. Otherwise excellent place to eat. WiFi also available.

Fantastic, cosy spot right off the lake. Highly recommend their coffee and espresso(mochas — divine), the White Sando(smoked turkey, pesto, avocado), and waffle fries(!). All of our food came out quickly especially considering how crowded they were. Very friendly staff.

Best breakfast in North lake. I’ve been talking about little else since arriving in this small lake town. It’s a bit crowded inside but there is outside seating. The staff is super friendly and incredibly hygienic! Pro tip: BEST real chai teas around!(Unless you think Starbucks has«real» chai) Pro tip #2: get a muffin. Seriously.

Stopped by here when we got to Tahoe. Food is passable, definitely wouldn’t have come if we had a choice or knew the area better though. Staff is super nice though.

Kings Beach favorite. Came here with 4 for lunch, sat outside and our fish tacos(2 to a plate) came quickly. The turkey bacon, swiss cheese club with awesome red onion with thousand island dressing was excellent. Our pal substituted Ahi tuna for cod on his tacos and not only did he get three of them they were also excellent. Average cost $ 10 a dish, it was low key, casual and very good with creative fresh made sandwiches and wraps. Check ‘em out near Kings Beach Park parking lot.

Intimate lunch at this restaurant with outdoor service front and back. Great service from friendly folks. I recommend the cod tacos(one of the world’s healthiest foods: ) and chicken tacos(two separate entrees). They have a nice selection of freshly-made sandwiches, salads, kid’s meals and meat/vegan selections. They do not offer beer or wine, but said this would be remedied in July(next month), which is the height of King’s Beach’s season. Enjoy! We did.

As i was sitting at the table while waiting on my breakfast wrap, i was checking out all the menu items i would come back for! But i was there for breakfast– an egg, bacon and avocado burrito wrap! So delicious and much better than the log cabin’s breakfast down the street. You also, have a view of Lake Tahoe and the town’s people strolling about. Their homemade green salsa is kick-ass!

Good portions, great place to fill up before heading out for the day. Nothing astounding to say about the quality/taste of the food, but I would recommend eating here anyways. Took forever to get my local’s breakfast and my friend’s breakfast sandwich, but I think that’s because they only had one cook, so that’s not a particularly big deal, unless you’re in a hurry to get going somewhere. I do have a complaint about their hot beverages. My friend’s latte was very good, but by the time I got my hot chocolate, it was already lukewarm. For the price, portions, and really nice service, this place is a definitely good breakfast spot before heading to the slopes. Will be coming here the next time I am in town.
